December 31. Funeral Prayers in absentia were held in numerous
mosques across the U.S. and
Canada
for the victims of Tsunami.
In Baltimore, at Masjid Noor, located in the northeast of the city,
an overflow crowd listened to the
Syrian
imam's
khutba
on the cataclysm which has gripped the coastal communities of the
Indian
ocean. He explained from the
Qur'an
the inevitability of death and the way Muslims are supposed to respond
to calamity.

Indonesia's Muslims on December 31, according to a report from

U.S. REGIME TORMENTS IMAM WHO SUPPORTS
PALESTINE.
HE ACCEPTS DEPORTATION to QATAR.

reported on January 3, that Imam Ghoneim, from
Egypt,
who was being detained by U.S. authorities in Orange County, California
on technical charges of "relocation" from Texas to California decided
to accept deportation to Qatar.
Ghoneim was reportedly hounded by the U.S. at the behest of
Zionist
Jews because he had expressed support for the Palestinian resistance.
His wife, devastated by the arrest and deportation, told NPR that the
only reason for his arrest was that he stood for
Islam.

Bush
claim to be a friend of Muslims hurt by Tsunami when he permits

When the Tsunami struck, killing tens of thousands, President Bush was
not interested. Precious days were lost when many of the dying
survivors could have been saved. The Washington regime added injury
to insult by offering $15 million for relief.
When Bush noticed that he was being ridiculed around the world and
even the pliant United Nations called his "donation" STINGY, he appeared
on TV on the 4th day to offer condolences and to add $20 million to his
largesse.
This humiliating and arrogant response made life difficult for
Colin Powell and others who have to interact with governments holding
down vast Muslim populations. He must have communicated his distress
to Bush.
The latest moves by the Bush administration [December 31 and January 3]
indicate that a new American plan is being implemented. Bush increased
the relief fund to $350 million [still quite pathetic, about one and a
half days' expense in occupied Iraq]
and there is to be a telethon led by Clinton and Bush I. It seems to be
a brilliant idea probably coming from Clinton who has a much better
understanding of America than Bush.
[Still America is outclassed by little Japan which offered $500 million.]
Aid is being brought to Indonesia by U.S. marines, the same people who
did Fallujah!

Too little to late, but this could be an attempt to neutralize Muslim
opposition sparked by the bombing of
Afghanistan
and Iraq and the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
Anything Bush does in the Muslim world will be viewed with suspicion.
Within the United States, MUSLIM CHARITIES ARE NOT EVEN BEING LISTED
in the lists of charities being offered to the American public. Bush
and the
media
are behaving as if Muslim charities don't exist.
Is there any reason why Muslim charities are being excluded other than
imperialistic designs? We noticed earlier in Darfur that after making
a big hue and cry about a humanitarian disaster there, the U.S. closed
down the ONLY MUSLIM CHARITY WHICH WAS WORKING DIRECTLY IN DARFUR.

Anyone who cares for America would say, let's bring our troops home
without delay. Pull out of Iraq and let the Iraqis solve their own
problems. Why? Because ...

U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq is illegal and illegitimate,

The U.S. does not have even the fig leaf of U.N. support for the
presence of its armada in Iraq.

The Islamic resistance has popular support and has survived the
destruction of Fallujah.

The Shi'ites themselves, to be main participanrs in puppet elections,
are divided. Iyad Allawi and his mercenaries are servants of the dollar
and have no national basis. Sistani supports
Iran.
Moqteda Al-Sadr is a nationalist and will probably join the Sunni Islamic
resistance as soon as he can.

The Shi'ites are not proven to be 60% of the population. Estimates other
than those of the U.S. say they are 40%. Hence the U.S. might not be
able to use them as a base.

The Kurds are supporting the Sunni Islamic resistance in many cases.
The Ansar al-Islam and Jaish al-Ansar al-Sunnah and their offshoots
are Kurds whose attacks on the U.S. military and contractors and its
allies are more ferocious than those of the Sunni Islamic resistance

The two Kurdish organizations supporting the U.S. are seen as so
anatagonistic to the Iraqi people that they cannot be counted on to
be part of a cohesive Iraq. One of the them, PUK, has forces trained
and armed by Israel with links to Kurdish Jews living in Israel.

Islam is the only force which can create a united and progressive Iraq.
Once the U.S. forces are withdrawn, an Iraqi dialogue will begin which
will create the New Islamic Iraq.
WHAT THE U.S. Will PROBABLY DO:
Senator
Lieberman,
the Jewish Democrat who led the movement for the invasion of Iraq,
has just returned from a secretive visit to Baghdad. He spoke to
ABC TV
on January 2, 2005 and painted a picture so removed from Iraqi realities
that one would be tempted to accuse him of trying to mislead Americans.
He claimed that the Iraqis fighting the American army "don't have popular
support."
Lieberman seems to be living in those days of American enthusiasm when
Saddam's statue was brought down and later when Bush declared "mission
accomplished." He adamantly declares that "we" are there for a good
cause and "elections" should be pushed through.
There is a whole lineup of warmongers like Lieberman who visit Iraq
under intense security and come back to claim that the occupation is
going well. With Lieberman, it is understandable that he supports
Israel's anti-Islam agenda. He pretends ignorance of the fact that
MOST AMERICANS OPPOSE THE WAR in spite of Bush's election victory.
If the U.S. government continues to be pushed into war by Lieberman,
Wolfowitz, Feith, Krauthammer, the Ayn Rand Institute and their ilk,
the only gainer will be Israel. Opposition to America is running at
70 to 90% even in countries like Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia though
they are tightly controlled by extremely repressive regimes.

helicopters, smash into Palestinian townships and refugee camps in
the Gaza Strip and on the West Bank.
Every day the Jews announce the murder of Palestinian "terrorists" and
their children. It's not news any longer. The TV cable channels put the
killings on their news ticker and add the Israeli explanation that the
killing was done because the "terrorists" were planning to attack
Israel, and the attacking Israeli column has now withdrawn. There is
no discussion and NO EDITORIAL CONDEMNATION because of Zionist control
of the media.
[You expect Larry King, Ted Koppel and Rush Limbaugh to condemn Israel?]
WHAT SHOULD BE DONE:
Our observers says that LISTS of ALL THE PALESTINIANS KILLED and
WOUNDED by ISRAEL should be prepared and preserved. When an Islamic
government is formed, its task should be to capture, try and execute
the Jews responsible for the murders. The ENTIRE Israeli MILITARY UNIT
which participates in a raid should be listed as a UNIT of WAR CRIMINALS,
just as the allies treated the Waffen-SS after the fall of Germany in 1945.
All Jews who fund Israel should be held liable for restitution and
reparations for the Palestinians killed and wounded by the Israelis.
Palestinians already have a list of 131 MOSQUES destroyed by Israel.
After Sharon and his military commanders are hanged following a trial
by Islamic judges, their properties and all properties now under control
of the illegitimate state of Israel should be auctioned to rebuild the
131 mosques.
Our observers, however, caution that such reparations will not pay for
the thousands of Palestinian homes, olive trees and gardens which the
Jewish entity known as Israel has destroyed. A worldwide team of
Islamic lawyers will be needed to assess the properties of Jews
who supported Israel so that they can be sold to pay the Palestinians
for their losses. Support by American attorneys will be important
because the richest Jews helping Israel are in America.
Our observers, however, conclude that the psychological damage the
Israeli Jews have inflicted will never be fully compensated for.

A Christian Response to New Trend's Critique of the Bible

[In the following, the segments with stars are from the Christmas issue
of New Trend. The critique within square brackets is from our Christian
friend, Ms. Carolyn.]
* Was Jesus, p, really born on December 25? That question should only
be discussed with Christians who want to discuss it. Do not push it
on Christians that this is a pagan holiday. Here perception is much
more important than reality.
[True, many of the traditions that go along with Christmas are pagan,
but most Christians don't look at it that way. They have tied it into
a celebration for the birth of Christ that came to die for our sins.
I guess what counts is really what is in our hearts.]
* Tell those who ask, or those who insist on debate, Jesus, p, is NOT
the son of God. In fact the trinity concept is mentioned in only ONE
verse in the totality of the 4 Gospels and that is an interpolation. .
The Christian gospels themselves do not make a big deal of the
Trinity concept.
[Your statement shows that you believe Jesus is a liar. Look at this
text: Luke 22:66-70, Jesus is asked by the Jewish leaders, verse 67:
"If you are the Christ," they said, "tell us." "Jesus answered, "If I
tell you, you will not believe me, and if I asked you, you would not
answer. But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right
hand of the mighty God." They all asked, "Are you then the Son of
God?" He replied, "You are right in saying I am." How can Moslems
exalt Jesus as a prophet if he is a liar?]
[ John 14:6,7 "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew
me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him
and have seen him." (He came from the Father that is in heaven.)]
[John 6:46-51 "No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God;
only he has seen the Father. I tell you the truth, he who believes has
everlasting life.
This is the principle dogma of Christianity or else Christ is the
greatest liar that has ever lived.]
* There is NO historical evidence that Jesus,p, was crucified.
The crucifixion is mentioned only in the four gospels and not in
any sources outside them. There are no historic eyewitnesses.
[There is historical evidence mentioned by a Jewish writer named
Josephus, who was a contemporary of Jesus. He wrote a lot of information
about Christ and what was happening in that part of the world back then.
I don't think he was a Christian but an apostate Jew. Many people were
afraid to convert to Christianity back then because Rome was
persecuting them.]
[Does a body of over one billion Christians for 2,000 years not reflect
that Christ lived back then. There is evidence that the Romans killed
thousands of Christians. Christ died by crucifixion to atone the sins
of the world. The story of Abraham, willing to kill his son, is a
parallel of the Father in heaven willing to give up his Son to die
to atone for our sins. Shortly after the crucifixion, the Jews started
the holocaust of slaughtering Christians.]
[ Luke 3:1 Luke identifies who is in power at the time of Jesus and
the crucifixion, and this is known historically. "In the fifteenth
year of the reign of Tiberius, Caesar- when Pontius Pilate was governor
of Judea, Herod tetrach of Galilee, his brother Philip, etc, .. ....]
[John 12:28-3l He came from heaven for the purpose to die for our sins.]
* .The four gospels, Mark, Mathew, Luke and John are not verfiable as
authentic by any historical or documentary evidence. Even their
authorship is unknown. The four names are attributions made in
later times.
[The men that wrote the four gospels wrote other books. Luke wrote
Acts, John wrote Revelation. John lived to 95 A.D. Their works tell
us about the age when they lived. They were hated by Romans and
despised by the Jews. This is confirmed in the Bible. Daniel, in the
Old Testament, tells us about the last day events. It is full of
prophecy. In Daniel 7, it predicted that the Papacy would fall in the
1700's, which was written 2,500 years earlier than when it happened.
Also predicted in Daniel was the destruction of Babylon and that
Medo Persia would fall. This proves the validity of the Bible. True,
the four gospel writers were despised, proving the existence of anyone
that lived 2,000 years ago that was preaching about Christ would be
persecuted, but their work lives on. The existence of the four gospels
and their story will continue to live on until Jesus comes in the
clouds of glory.]
* There is no evidence outside the Gospels (Gospels = Matthew, Mark, Luke
and John) that Jesus, p, rose on the third day.
[Not so. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 "For what I received I
passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our
sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was
raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he
appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared
to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of
whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. ]
* .The existence of Jesus, p, is only marginally reported in a couple
of Jewish and Roman histories and these too do not contain any
eyewitness account.
[See previous texts. Five hundred witness accounts. There is more
evidence showing that Jesus Christ existed then Mohammed (p) existed.
Evidence is fulfillment of Scripture in the Old Testament. Also, the
Muslims do believe that Jesus existed.]
* The stories of Jesus, p, as known today are probably extensions of
oral traditions. Written down shortly after his death. He was
undoubtedly a man bringing truth from God and working great miracles.
His greatness was such that his personality took on mythical proportions
till he came to be remembered by his followers as the son of God, if
not God incarnate.
[This is a false assumption. Jesus claimed from the beginning to be
the Son of God and he came from God. No other God known to man has
done this. Jesus claims to be God in many places, where as Mohammed
(p) is a prophet.]
[Miracles are a sign of divinity, and Jesus performed many of them.
However, miracles alone do not transform the heart. The Jews crucified
Christ anyway, even though they had witnessed him performing many
miracles.]
* For 30 years after his death, nothing was written about him. It was
all oral tradition, easily embroidered. Then emerged the first of
the gospels, now attributed to Mark.
[Not true. Paul wrote about Christ in 1 Thessalonians. Paul's death was
in A.D. 64. Paul met Christ on the road to Damascus and many other
occasions, through visions.]
* Paul took over the message of Jesus and gave it a totally different
direction from that of the entire line of Messengers of God. Paul
never met Jesus, p, but he is the real founder of modern Christianity.
[Not true. Paul was a well educated Jew, the best ambassador for Christ
because he understood the Old Testament and apostasy of Jesus. He
preached how Jesus was the fulfillment of all the scriptures written
in the Old Testament. You are correct when you say that Paul was the
founder of modern Christianity.]

In closing, I would like to mention that Jesus Christ is a descendent
of Abraham. Matthew 1:1 "A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ
the son of David, the son of Abraham:

All that was promised to Abraham will come to the Gentiles through
Jesus. Galatians 3:14 ]

Jesus Christ will soon establish a kingdom and destroy the present
world. According to his own word , those who believe in him shall
not perish, but have every lasting life John 3:16.]
[John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled, Trust in God, trust
also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so I
would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to
be with me that you also may be where I am.]
[ Mark 14:61, 62 (Jesus is being questions by the Jews prior to the
crucifixion) "But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the
high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed
One?" "I am, said Jesus "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at
the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."]

and Asia, the following information might help. We love Jesus (pbuh)
but can't accept teachings put out in his name which are not verifiable
as his.
NEW TREND IS INTERESTED in HISTORICAL VALIDITY of the BIBLE, not in
FAITH BASED INTERPRETATION.
Comments by the editor of New Trend on Ms. Carolyn's critique.
Obviously many Christians believe that Jesus (pbuh) was the son of God,
if not God Himself, and one third of a trinity, and that the Bible is
the literal truth from God. However this thesis is merely faith based
and collapses when subjected to textual criticism of the Bible.
Christian scholars themselves have critiqued the Bible and most of
them do not support the points made by Ms. Carolyn. More and more
Christian scholars believe in the teachings of the Bible only as
metaphor, not as fact.
Here are a few facts which Ms. Carolyn must tackle to understand why
the Bible is unacceptable as a historical document. I'll restrict
myself to the New Testament, though the Old Testament is much weaker.
-
The language of the original 4 gospels is Greek. Jesus [pbuh] did
not speak Greek. He and his disciples spoke Aramaic. Hence the 4
gospels cannot be called the words of Jesus (pbuh), let alone the
Word of God.
-
There is no evidence within the New Testament that Mark, Luke, Matthew
and John wrote the 4 gospels. These 4 names are attributions made later.
-
Read the gospels and it becomes evident that these are not the words
of eyewitnesses but of people who heard these stories from others.
None of the 4 writers claim within the text that they are the authors.
-
Ms. Carolyn's favorite, John, is the weakest of the 4. Its text
appeared 90 years after Jesus (pbuh) and its teachings are totally
at variance with those of the other three gospels.

In turn the other three gospels differ with each other even about the
time of Jesus alleged crucifixion.
-
In sum, the gospels are definitely NOT the words of Jesus (pbuh) and
are written in a language which neither he nor his disciples spoke
or wrote.

Modern Christianity, coming from Paul, is totally at variance with
the teachings of Jesus (pbuh). Ms. Carolyn admits that Paul met Jesus
in a vision. Thus he obviously did NOT meet Jesus in any physical,
historical sense.

Most of the New Testament consists of letters which Paul allegedly wrote.
This material is not written by Jesus or by any of his disciples.
[The disciples were peasants, did not know Greek and could not write,
according to modern research of the Bible.]
Even some of the letters attributed to Paul are not his.

The "John" who wrote the book of Revelation, on which so much of
modern Falwell-armageddon-type Christianity is based, is not proven
to be the John to whom the gospel of John is attributed. The book of
Revelation is the kind of apocalyptic literature which was common at
that time. The book of Revelation is definitely NOT from Jesus.
There is a simple way of finding out the truth of the statements I
have made. Go to the Gospel of John. Does it say anywhere that "I,
John, am one of the disciples of Jesus, and I have written here what
I saw." No, it does not. Christian priests have appended a note AFTER
the text of John ends, saying that this was written by John who was
trustworthy.
Muhammad (pbuh) was not a mere Prophet. He was the last messenger of
Allah. The Book he brought includes the essential teachings of God
given to Moses and Jesus and which are perfected in the Qur'an.
Miracles are not signs of divinity but of temporary power given to
human beings whom God chose. They are usually meant to awe an
obdurate people, like the Jews. The Qur'an emphasizes the need for
a just system in THIS WORLD, not a mere pie-in-the-sky message. Hence,
instead of emphasizing miracles, the Qur'an and Muhammad (pbuh) teach
jihad against oppressors.

The killer earthquake in the morning of 26th December 2004 has left
behind a trail of death and destruction. On Sunday morning in Chennai's
famous Marina Beach when children were playing cricket and the visiting
tourists and morning seaside visitors were relaxing, and hundreds of
fishermen had ventured into the sea, a sudden calamity struck. The
killer tsunami waves have brought untold miseries to the people
living in coastal parts of Tamil Nadu.
The rising tidal water entered the coastal areas of Chennai marooning
many parts destroying life and property. Apart from Chennai, the
worst affected areas are the districts of Nagapattinam, Kanyakumari,
Cuddalore and Kanchipuram. Exact details of the loss of life and
property is beyond one's estimate at this point of time.
The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in Tamil Nadu & Pondy has formed a committee
in the name of Tamil Nadu Relief Committee. The teams have started
its preliminary work of extending immediate relief to the victims
and making a survey for providing suitable relief and rehabilitation.
The Tamil Nadu and Pondy Zone of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind earnestly appeals
to the individuals and institutions to liberally come forward and extend
an helping hand in this hour of crisis.
May Allah reward you immensely in this world and in the Hereafter.
