Mass anti-U.S. rallies in Indonesia Ignored by
American
media:
Contrast with Bali attack
Probably the biggest demonstrations in the
history of Indonesia took
place in Jakarta a few days before
Eid
al-Adha.
Estimates put the numbers at
more than 100,000. Only
MSNBC
and
FOX
noted the report and that too in a
running item under the TV screen, just in
passing. MSNBC put the number at
50,000.
The demonstrations were anti-U.S. and anti-war.
[It's a shame that the ruthless bombing of Bali,
carried out by a few people,
has gained huge publicity in America but the
massive PEACEFUL EXPRESSION of
the will of the Indonesian people is not even
news. For peace, we need to
listen to peaceful expressions. -Ed.]

February 11 and 12. The editor of New Trend,

led Eid prayers at a gathering in Pennsylvania. A
reception followed. A very young sister who
embraced Islam last year after
spending a year with the editor's step daughter
was also there. There was a
demand for the Qur'an sent by a non-Muslim.]

TEXT for the Khutba: "Say: Surely my prayer and
my sacrifice, my life and my
death are for Allah, the Sustainer
of the universe." (The Qur'an 6:162)

1. The Hajj is a living miracle of Islam which
brings together more than two
million people without any publicity or worldly
power behind it.
2. The ONENESS of the UMMAH of Islam as seen at
Hajj shows that Islam is a
global power symbolized in the ritual and
ceremony of Hajj. It is our task to
make the ritual real in actual unity.
3. The Hajj shows the power of Islam to transcend
and negate nationalism,
race, ethnicity, language and class.
4. The intended sacrifice of Ibrahim (pbuh) and
Ismail (pbuh) shows that the
pagan ideas of human sacrifice have no basis in
Islam: instead the sacrifice
of animals is meant to create understanding of
the need for FOOD for
EVERYONE and distribution of wealth as ESSENTIAL
to Islam.
5. At all levels of greatness, women and men go
together, be it Moses (Musa)
(pbuh) and Asiya (pbuh), Maryam and Jesus (peace
be on them), Muhammad (pbuh)
and Ayesha (radi Allah ‘unha). The FOUNDER of the
CITY OF
MAKKA
was an African woman, Hajira (Allah be pleased with
her). [New Trend published the
narrative of Hajira from Bukhari's Sahih a few
years back.]
6. Islam includes the wisdom of Abraham, Moses
and Jesus, perfected and
completed in the Sunnah of Muhammad. (Peace be on
them.)
7. No one can tell us about Moses (pbuh). The
Qur'an tells us the truth
about him. No one can teach us about Jesus. We
love Jesus (pbuh) more than
anyone else and we do not use his name without
blessing him (pbuh).
8. Our communities must learn to communicate and
answer the enemies of
Islam who are pouring out abuse, poisonous lies,
fabricated stories about
Islam and Muslims on TV (be it
CNN,
MSNBC, or FOX), radio and the print
media, 24/7 around the clock.
9. Why are the lies about Islam pouring out of
the media? These are
zionist
enemies of Islam yearning to turn the people of
America against Islam. They
have failed miserably: hence the government is
now taking direct action
against innocent Muslims
10. Why are the liars pouring out their abuse and
hate? ‘Tis so because Islam
is spreading and cannot be stopped in spite of
the campaign of fear, hate and
suspicion.
11. THE ARMIES OF THE OPPRESSORS ARE POURING INTO
THE MUSLIM WORLD on the excuse of attacking
Iraq.
Their obscene displays of weaponry, latest jet
fighters, tanks, hordes of crusading troops show
how arrogant and drunk with
the insolence of power are these oppressors.
12. ISLAM is the EMPIRE OF FAITH. It cannot be
defeated by the weight of
material power. The armies of America will find
that:
i. They are not welcome in the Muslim world
ii. They will be besieged and spat at wherever
they go.
iii. In a few years, they will be forced to
retreat.
13. Islam defeated the USSR. ISLAM WILL ALSO
DEFEAT AMERICA, inshallah. The
colossus of Islam is slowly waking up, stirred by
the attacks of the
crusaders. It will gradually rise up, break its
chains and create a new world.
14. WHAT IS OUR TASK? We have to bear witness to
the truth in America, just as
Malcolm X
(Al-Hajj Malik Shabazz) did. America
before Malcolm's
martyrdom
was very different from what it has become, where
Islam is now a household world.
15. MILLIONS IN AMERICA WANT TO EMBRACE ISLAM:
They are saying:
enough of corruption and the arrogance of power,
enough of the exploitation of women,
enough of racism hidden under political
correctness, enough of Zionist
control of information and finance, enough of
immorality disguised as freedom.
We must decide: ARE WE GOING TO HELP THE PEOPLE
OF AMERICA BREAK their
chains, or are we going to be obstacles in the
way of Islam through our petty
ego tripping and internal divisions and historic
hangovers of differences of
opinion? Allah is the best of Planners. Let us
become Allah's helpers.
