What happened to the Separation of Church and State?:
Sept. 15, 2004. Senator Tom Daschle [Democrat] spoke at length in the U.S.
Senate about the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. He was sad that the
bombing many years back of a Jewish temple in Buenos Aires had still not
been punished. [No mention of the 130 mosques Israel has destroyed in
occupied Palestine.]
Senator Edward Kennedy [Democrat] also greeted the Jewish people on Rosh
Hashanah and easily connected his greetings to the prosperity and success
of Israel. [Muslims should wise up, especially the naive ones who think
Jews and Israel
are separate issues.]
[For overseas readers: Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year when God
supposedly created Adam and Eve. One's fate for the coming year is decided
on this day.]

STRATEGIC CONSIDERATIONS
Try to understand the moves of the power structure: America as an imperial
power controlled by the
Zionists.
BUSH HAS BEEN USED UP [if not completely, then 3/4ths]. Now an election
stir is needed so that the power structure can convince people that
whatever Bush did is in the past, so let’s move on.
[If things get worse in Iraq and "terrorism," Bush might be "re-elected"
to complete the job.]
NOTICE WHAT HAPPENED the one MILLION Iraqi children who died slow deaths
owing to U.S. sanctions under Clinton. [Remember Medeleine Albright’s
comment that "it was worth it?"] Today those million children are
forgotten. The propaganda burden of Bush’s "war of liberation" was so
heavy that most Americans forgot about the years of agony imposed on Iraq
earlier, the embargo, the sanctions, the "no-fly zones."
Iraq’s economic collapse is being brazenly attributed to Saddam Hussain’s
rule.
Along came Bush after
9.11
and did Israel’s job of the destruction of Iraq so thoroughly that
the Israelis themselves could not have done it so well themselves. In the
process BUSH ALIENATED THE ENTIRE WORLD. So now the power structure needs
an "out." Either get Kerry elected and pretend that we are now in the
process of "undoing the damage," or keep Bush and say "we have to complete
the task."
SHOULD MUSLIMS BE PART of the AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS?

From the
Islamic
viewpoint, the answer is a clear "NO." Islam considers an oppressive power
structure "haram" [forbidden] and does not permit Muslims to become part of
it.

Cooperation with oppressors and oppressive systems is forbidden to
Muslims even in minor daily matters.
Islamically, there is no question of COOPERATION with oppression, let alone
INTEGRATION into such a system.
No decent Muslim can dare to think that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) would
have liked to become part of the system of exploitation prevalent in
Makka.
It is UNTHINKABLE that he would have considered choosing between Abu Lahab
or Abu Jahal.

The
Qur’an
has strictly forbidden any cooperation with oppressors, let alone becoming
part of their system.
The Qur’an says:
"Persevere with constancy to the command of thy Lord and do not obey those
among them who commit sin and reject [Allah’s commands]." [76:24.]

Muslims can legitimately take as leaders only those people chosen under Islamic law who follow
Allah and His messenger:
"O ye who believe! Obey Allah and obey the messenger and those charged with
authority from AMONG YOU ..." [4:59]
Thus there is no scope in Islam for acceptance of non-Islamic leaders.

Even beyond the matter of leadership,
Muslims are not permitted to allow those who reject Islam
to enter their inner circle
[such as mosques, shoora councils, advisory boards and all bodies
concerned with policy making]:
"O ye who believe! Take not into your inner circle those outside your
ranks. They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin.
Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths:
What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the
Signs, if you have understanding." [3:118]

INTEGRATION OF MUSLIMS INTO A SYSTEM WHICH RECOGNIZES ISRAEL,
ENCOURAGES ADULTERY and HOMOSEXUALITY
and has no clear lines of morality is
simply not the way for Muslims to go:
"Shall We treat those who believe and do good deeds the same as those who
do mischief on earth? Shall we treat those who guard against evil the
same as those who turn away from right?
[38:28]

EVEN AMONG MUSLIMS, COOPERATION IS PERMITTED ONLY ON THE BASIS OF
QUR’ANIC STANDARDS OF Taqwa
[AWARENESS of ALLAH]. There can’t be legitimate cooperation
with people who have MUSLIM NAMES but are working for the system:
"... Cooperate mutually in goodness and TAQWA, but do not help each other
in sin and transgression..." [5:3]

EVEN OUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS AND CHILDREN DO NOT DESERVE OUR
COOPERATION
if they are with the oppressors:
"And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands,
which he fulfilled:
He [Allah] said: I will make thee a leader to the nations. He [Abraham]
pleaded: And also [leaders] from my offspring? He [Allah] answered: But
my promise does not go to oppressors."
[2:124]

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) SPENT HIS LIFE STRUGGLING AGAINST THE KIND OF
POWER STRUCTURE we HAVE in America Where the Rich and the Powerful Exploit
the weak and the poor.
He NEVER taught, directly or indirectly, that Muslims should become part
of such an exploitative system for the sake of gaining some benefits for
themselves:
"Aus ibn Shurajeel (r.a.) heard the messenger of Allah, pbuh, saying: One
who helps an oppressor and provides him support and sustenance, although
he knows that such is an oppressor, such a one has left Islam."
[Hadith,
Mishkat al-Masabih]

The blessed messenger of Allah, Muhammad, (pbuh) has forbidden Muslims from
accepting invitations from leaders who are corrupt,
who live lives of frivolity and waste, who party while humans
are suffering, who live in luxury while people are poor. Even food
should not be eaten with such people, let alone trying to vote them
into power:
"‘Imran ibn Hisain narrates that the Prophet, pbuh, forbade us to accept
the invitation of corrupt people [who do not differentiate between halal
and haram]." Hadith, Mishkat al-Masabih]

INTEGRATION INTO THE POWER STRUCTURE IMPLIES OBEDIENCE TO "OTHERS
THAN ALLAH."
Such acceptance and obedience is forbidden. Here is the general ruling:
"There is no obedience and acceptance in wrongdoing. Obedience is permitted
only in that which is clearly GOOD [Al-Ma’roof]." [Hadith,
Sahih Bukhari
and Sahih Muslim]

If a scholar, Muslim in name, as an
ISNA
man did in the Bush election, urges Muslims to
vote, would that make it permissible in Islam? The answer is a clear "No."
"When a command comes from the ameer to disobey Allah, then do not listen
and do not obey." [Hadith, Sahih Bukhari.]

The world view of the American power structure, based on concentration of
wealth, land and power in a few hands and corporations is diametrically
opposed to that of Islam.
This what prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told the Jews of
Arabia
when he broke up their wealth and control of the economy:
"Know that the earth belongs to Allah and His messenger."
[Hadith, Sahih Bukhari]

The audience and support system Islam wants is very different from that
which America’s power structure wants:
"O Allah, grant me life as a poor person, cause me to die as a poor person,
and resurrect me in the company of the poor." [Hadith, Sunan of Tirmidhi
and Baihaqi]

Dr. Ashqar Refuses to Cooperate in the Oppression of Palestinians by
USA/ISRAEL

On September 15th, 2004, Dr. Abdelhaleem Ashqar was released from Jail on
bond from "solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Correction Facility
(MCC) in
Chicago"
to Home Incarceration. The 2.6 million Dollar bond was set awaiting trial
on criminal contempt, Obstruction of Justice and racketeering to provide
material support to Hamas. The US attorney ceased the civil contempt charge
on October 8, 2003 and indicted him on criminal contempt (to punish him
for refusing to testify against some Muslim Organizations, Palestinian and
Muslim activists, friends and scholars). After the many years of
harassment and targeting of constitutionally protected activities the
Government again is torturing Dr. Ashqar. He was arrested in his home on
August 19, 2004 on a superceding indictment claming that he is part of a
criminal conspiracy to aid Hamas.
Most of the alleged activities presented in the indictment against
Dr. Ashqar occur before 1994, a time when Hamas was not designated as
a terrorist organization. Moreover the alleged activities even if true
were lawful activities. In order to avoid statute of limitation problems
the Government alleges that Dr. Ashqar’s refusal to testify before two
grand juries are overt acts in support of the criminal conspiracy of
racketeering.

KASHMIR IS BLEEDING: POORLY ARMED KASHMIRIS TAKE on HUGE INDIAN ARMY
New Trend is receiving reports on a daily basis of conflict in occupied
Kashmir. The Indian army is committing atrocities of unimaginable savagery,
excecutions of unarmed youths on "suspicion" of cooperation with the
resistance, entry into homes at night and execution of suspects, use of
heavy weapons against homes suspected of supporting resistance fighters.
India is working in tandem with Pakistan's General Musharraf. The Pakistani
general is following U.S. orders to seal off entry points from Pakistan
through which the resistance receives supplies and Pakistani volunteers
from the Jihad movement.
India is moving fast to crush the Kashmiris. The latest shootings include
people who are in the peaceful political opposition. The most prominent of
these is attorney Peer Hussamuddin. On September 15, an Indian hit squad
dragged Hussamuddin from his home in Srinagar and shot him at close range.
[There were protests against the murder all over Kashmir. Hussamuddin, a
Jamaate Islami activist had been to prison numerous times owing to his
peaceful protests against India.]
Earlier on September 13 in Srinagar, mujahideen calling themselves
al-Mansooreen [probably a branch of Lashkare Taiba] carried out a
spectacular attack on an Indian military force known as the CRPF which
has been involved in atrocities against Muslims. Four Indian troops,
including Chitram Singh, commander of 85th battalion of the CRPF and
Anant Nath, commander of the 84th battalion, were killed, and the commander
of CRPF and 4 soldiers were wounded. Two of the three mujahideen who
infiltrated the heavy security area were martyred in the Indian
counterattack.
Earlier In the Palwama of occuipied Kashmir, an Indian unit identified as
63rd Rashtriya Rifles desecrated a mosque, leading to protest
demonstrations by the villagers. The Indians tortured to death
Javed Ahmed Shaikh, an activist of the Islamic resistance movement known
as Hizb al-Mujahideen. The entire population of his area came out to
protest his murder.
