America
&
Islam:
Tragi-Comic Confusion
Desecration of the
Qur'an:
Afghanistan
Lost in One Day
[From
New Trend's
Media Monitor.]
There were demonstrations in just about every Afghan city.
Karzai's police killed 15 demonstrators and wounded 150 but to avail.
The Americans are pulling their hair out, trying to convince the
Afghans that they love Islam and revere the Qur'an.
Condileeza Rice is making a fool of herself assuring Muslims
that she respects the "koran."
[CNN suddenly discovered the correct spelling: "Qur'an" and not "Koran.]
The process of damage control was comic.
The White House pressured Newsweek magazine.
Newsweek apologized for publishing the story of the desecration.
The White House said the apology was not enough and pressured
Newsweek some more.
Newsweek then declared that it was RETRACTING the desecration story.
Believe us, it never happened!
The TV scenes which followed were surrealistic.
Newsweek's editorial officials came on TV to apologize and retract.
They were in a state of shock.
Newsweek explained that the report on the Qur'an was cleared by
a TOP official in the Bush administration before it was published.
It was also cleared by the Pentagon.
Thus now Newsweek was being forced to retract a report which had
come from top American officials. Newsweek is from the structure of
the Democratic party [linked to MSNBC TV, owned by the Washington Post].
This afforded the Republicans a chance to claim that Newsweek
was unpatriotic and had damaged America's image "deliberately."
The incident brought out one of the open secrets about the
"freedom of the press." The press is free to publish things
which are not objectionable to the people in power. Once it does
step on the government's toes, it can be made to retract in the
medieval style in which the Inquisition at one time used to
make dissenters retract.
Careful reading of the whole mess indicates the bottom line:
America throught it had "liberated" Afghanistan. Once the Afghans
found out what was really going on in Guantanamo Bay, they rose
up without hesitation. The multi-million dollar U.S. investment
went down the drain.
An important lesson for Muslims: Owing to lack of communication,
our nations sometimes don't know what is going on. The Arab world
has Al-Jazeerah, but in Afghanistan, it takes time for information
to sink in.
The Muslim world is very much alive. It will make the only right
choice for Muslims: ISLAM, as authenticated by the Qur'an and
the Hadith. The Afghans can be quite cynical with those who think
they can conquer Muslims. The Afghans take their money and then
kick them. No wonder Osama bin Laden and Mullah Omar could not
be caught.
I doubt if ANY average Afghan has read Newsweek or knows [or cares]
who is Condileeza Rice!

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX [from New Trend's
Media
Monitor.]
What really happened in Rwanda?
The accepted story is that the 3% Tutsi minority suffered genocide but ..
The story of genocide in Rwanda,
Africa,
often bothers me. There's something fishy about it. The
Zionist
media have never been challenged on this. With the recent movie
"Hotel Rwanda," the "Rwanda Genocide" has been made into history.
Can you break this down with *s like you do? Here are the main points:
-
The Zionist media claim that 500,000 minority Tutsis were killed
by the majority Hutus. What's fishy is that this claim was made on
the very FIRST DAY a European journalist arrived in Rwanda BEFORE
any investigation or study. This figure was snatched out of thin air.

-
If the Tutsis were destroyed, how come they are ruling Rwanda today?

-
By contrast, the majority Hutus, in their hundreds of thousands,
became refugees and have been wandering around in neighboring lands
for years.

-
When the story of the "genocide" came out, well armed Tutsi troops,
backed by the U.S.,
Israel
and the regime in Uganda, invaded Rwanda from Uganda and took over
the country. It was a well planned operation.

-
I am several thousands of both Tutsis and Hutus were killed in the
initial fighting but let's keep in focus how it began. It was not
a one-sided "genocide" by any means. The ELECTED LEADERS OF RWANDA,
who were Hutus, were shot down by the Tutsis when they were
travelling by plane.

-
The Tutsis were the favorites of the Belgians who had colonized
Rwanda. When they left, it was thought that the majority Hutus
would gain power. They did, but their ELECTED LEADERS were shot down.

-
The icing on the "genocide" story is that the Tutsis were only 3% of
the population [some say 7% and some increase it to 9%]. How come,
AFTER GENOCIDE, they are in power while the majority has been
made homeless?

-
The overall effect of the Rwanda story is the impression that
"these Africans are crazy" and there is no understanding why
they slaughter each other.

-
The Rwanda type myth-making is being applied to DARFUR in
Sudan
too.

-
By contrast, the 1,000,000 Algerians killed by the French during
the war of independence, the 1,000,000 plus Afghans killed by
the Soviets, the 4,000,000 plus Palestinians driven out by the
Jews,
the tens of thousands of ALGERIANS killed by the current
military junta, the 1,000,000 plus
Iraqis
who died under U.S.-Israeli-U.N., sanctions don't count.

-
Thus, behind the Rwanda story there is a distinct purpose: To
mislead the world and distract it from what's really going on.

Analysis
O'Reilly, Emerson & Al-Arian: The Operative, the Commissar & the Kulak
Dear Mr. O'Reilly
During your Monday night program [May 16], on the case of Prof.
Sami Al-Arian, you seemed to be unusually dispirited.
The discussion of the case was very unlike you.
Somehow you managed to ignore all the rules of fair journalism.
Let me point out some of the more egregious errors in your presentation:
-
You brought in Steve Emerson to discuss the case of Prof. Sami Al-Arian.
As you know, Al-Arian is a
Palestinian
while Emerson is a known supporter of Israel with a track record
of bigotry against
Arabs/Palestinians
in particular and Muslims in general.

-
You did not bring a supporter of Al-Arian to speak even for a few seconds.
MSNBC and CNN at least try to bring in the other side's attorney.
Thus the program was one sided and slanted to an extreme.

-
Bringing Emerson to speak on Al-Arian was like bringing the
Grand Dragon of the KKK to speak on H. Rap Brown
[Imam Jamil a-Amin]
or any Black activist.

-
Your usual flair for pushing guests to avoid "spin" and to keep
to the facts was missing in your treatment of Emerson.
You were obsequious, almost servile, in front of Emerson,
allowing him to get away with off-the-cuff attacks on Prof. Arian.

-
You went out of your way to be subservient to Emerson to the
extent of claiming, without any qualifying phrases, that
Prof-Al-Arian is probably a "terrorist" and will be sentenced to
life in prison. Thus IN A MATTER OF MINUTES you tried, convicted
and sentenced a decent citizen of the United States who has
never committed a crime against this country.

-
In fact you tried to top Emerson's Zionism by attacking a
Florida newspaper which has given coverage to Prof. Al-Arian's
family and brought out the quality and culture of his children
and their tribulation at the detention and mistreatment of their father.

-
Finally you almost bleated out the complaint that, horror of horrors,
the publisher of the Florida newspaper must be an OPPONENT of ISRAEL
to have written the supportive article about Al-Arian's children.

-
Even the dastardly Zionist, Emerson, seemed surprised at your servility.

-
You allowed Emerson to get away with the claim that there are
telephone taps which indicate that Prof. Al-Arian sent money to
"terrorists" in Palestine. I would have asked: How does Emerson know?
Does he work for the FBI? If he is an agent of America's or
Israel's secret services, shouldn't your audiences be advised
of the capacity in which he speaks?

-
As you know Mr. O'Reilly, American Jewish groups send MILLIONS of
dollars to Israel every year. This money is used to dispossess
Palestinians and to support Jewish settlers in their activities
of murder and mayhem. So why this "holier than thou" attitude
about some relatively insignificant sums of money which Prof.
Al-Arian might have sent to Palestinians?

-
One of your claims, and that of Emerson, is that an American was
killed in an attack on Israelis in occupied Palestine. There is no
basis in law to blame Prof. Al-Arian for what others did. Can you
be blamed for the killing of Iraqi civilians by U.S. forces when
you are such a strong supporter of the "liberation" of Iraq by America?

-
As for the death of Americans during the conflict in Palestine,
you conveniently ignored the murder of
RACHEL CORRIE
by an Israeli bulldozer driver. This young American woman was
carrying out a peaceful attempt to stop the demolition of a
Palestinian home by the Jewish state when she was brutally
crushed by the Israelis.

-
When are you going to talk about RACHEL CORRIE on your show,
Mr. O'Reilly? Did she lose her American citizenship in your eyes
because she opposed Israeli demolition of Palestinian homes?

Sincerely
Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D

US soldiers defiled Quran; story is actually old from Afghanistan
Ex-detainee: US soldiers defiled Quran

There are more than 600 Muslim detainees at Guantanamo Bay .
In excerpts from an exclusive interview with Aljazeera,
a former Guantanamo detainee reveals details of torture, abuse,
and religious persecution. Wisam Abd al-Rahman Ahmad said he
was captured in
Iran,
transferred to a Kandahar detention facility in Afghanistan,
and finally imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay. Claiming he was
beaten and routinely insulted with profanities while in
Afghanistan, Ahmad said that US soldiers tried to "break" him
using psychological warfare....
..."I could bear all the obscene abuse and all the beatings but
I was agonised to see one US soldier stomp on the Holy Quran,
while another soldier in Kandahar threw it into the toilet," he said.

From Edward Miller
Re: Qaddafi's $600 m for Jews
How the Zionists got the Jews to Leave their homes
You might remind Americans that the Jewish enclaves in Yemen,
Algeria, Morocco,
Syria,
Iraq and Iran were formed mainly from Sephardic Jews,
rescued from Spain during the Catholic Inquisition by Arab
ships of sheiks, along with the persetured Muslims....
These Jews lived securely ,and happily with their Arab neighbors
until the early Ziionists needed warm bodies to fill the thousands
of Palestinian homesteads left by the fleeing Arabs...
Israel's, Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, sent the Jewush
underground police (Irgun) to these Arab countries to create
violent anti-semitic acts...burning
Jewish businesses, writing swastikas on Jewish houses etc...to
terrify the Jews...many of whom then took off for the promised
land of Israel; many any in such haste they never setled
their estates...thus Khadaffy's token gift...which should
really be paid for by the present Likud Party.. step-children
of the Irgun.

Khutba
to 500 in
Chicago
America's People are our Friends:
Zionist Media have Failed Miserably in Spite of Billion Dollar Blitz:
This is God's Country: Millions here are Potential Muslims
[On May 13, 2005, Dr. Kaukab Siddique gave the Juma' khutba at a
mosque in Chicago packed with more than 500 worshipers.
Mostly Arab, this community is not affluent and has been
targeted for surveillance and harrassment by the power structure.]
[The community was so pleased with Br. Kaukab's khutba that he
was invited back the same day to speak after the 'Isha prayer as well.]
[The following are some of the main points of the khutba with a
few from the 'Isha dars as well.]
Texts for the khutba:
"We have not sent thee [O Prophet], but as a Mercy to all the Worlds."
[The Qur'an 21:107]
"Qatada, narrates from Unas ibn Malik, r.a., who narrates: The Prophet,
peace and blessings of Allah be on him, said: When I start the prayer,
I intend to prolong it, but on hearing the cries of a child,
I cut short the prayer because I know its cries will be intense
and hurtful for its mother." [Hadith,
Sahih of Bukhari,
Vol. 1, #677.]
-
Today the children of our Ummah are crying out and their mothers
are helpless, writhing in pain.
 -

From
Indonesia
to Sudan and
Nigeria,
from
India
to Iraq and Palestine, the children are crying in agony.
-

We must open our hearts to compassion and mercy for the
suffering children and the tormented mothers.
-

Our faith in the One God, Allah, and our acceptance of the
leadership of Muhammad, pbuh, the last of messengers and
prophets, is our guarantee against hell fire, but
-

even faith will not result in good works unless it is linked
to ABSOLUTE surety of the Judgement in the Hereafter.
-

The messenger of Allah, pbuh, could not bear the thought that a
mother might be hurt by the crying of its child. He would cut
short the prayer even though PRAYER is the Mai'raj of the believer,
and he was praying in the holiest mosque of Islam, second only
to the Haram in
Makka.
-

We must be responsible and honorable citizens of this great
country. Within the boundaries of established law, we must try
to save the children of America from the great evil which has
taken over this beautiful land.
-

Never think that the people of America hate us. Far from it,
the more we link up with them, the more we will thrive. If they
had hated us, over the last three years not one mosque would
have been left in this country.
-

The media have UTTERLY FAILED to turn the people of America
against the Muslims. Our enemies have spent BILLIONS of dollars,
in 24/7 media blitz, to incite Americans against us but got
only a few nuts and crazies to accept their propaganda.
-

Immigrant Muslims must study this country to understand who
are our enemies and who are our friends. This understanding is
part of the Sunnah, for Muhammad, pbuh, knew his people down
to the minutest details.
-

Among those whom we should consider our allies, and millions of
them are potential Muslims, are the African-American and Hispanic people.
-

Islam will, inshallah, gain its greatest acceptance from the
women
of America, 50% of the population.
-

Never think that the women of America are "liberated" and happy.
How can they be happy when they are being objectified, treated
as things which can be bought and sold? The divorce rate is 50%
and the institution of marriage is in shambles. Women here can
trust no one because of the materialistic culture.
-

We are being persecuted by the government. Many innocents are
in prison. This persecution itself shows how weak the people in
power are. THEY SEE US as a THREAT BECAUSE WE HAVE THE QUR'AN.
-

Islam is America's hope.
Malcolm X [Al-Hajj Malik Shabazz]
opened the hearts of this country for Islam. Look at the
corrupt prison system here. Can anyone go into prison here and
come out with humanity intact? ISLAM ALONE IS THE LIGHT IN THE
VAST AMERICAN HINTERLAND OF PRISONS.
-

You have the right to speak, write, communicate on the Internet,
organize, assemble, protest. These are also your duties under the
Qur'an: 'Amr bil ma'ruf and Nahi 'un il munkar.
-

I urge you to inform firstly your children, then your friends
and neighbors, that the war being waged is unjust and unnecessary.
Many Americans do not know that their Air Force has killed
100,000 civilians in Iraq.
-

This fact was brought out by Lancet, a medical magazine which
has nothing to do with politics.
-

Bring your families to the mosque. It's very harmful for our
Ummah if our sisters go everywhere except to the mosque. To
be successful, we must be ONE UMMAH, men, women, children,
striving to do good together. There is no hope for our progress
if our sisters do not participate in the mosque.
