in Ottawa, Canada and the arrest of his son
Momin. Following that New Trend
has learned, April 4, that Dr. Khawaja himself
has been arrested in Saudi
Arabia
where he was when the Canadians started thir operation.
It appears that the Saudis had not been
able to arrest him earlier
because he is a citizen of Canada. Now that
Canada is colluding with the
Saudis, Dr. Khawaja has been arrested. It WOULD
BE UNTHINKABLE IN ANY
CIVILIZED SOCIETY THAT A MAN OF GREAT LEARNING
WOULD BE ARRESTED. For the
Saudis, the word of truth is too much.

Canada no longer safe for Muslim intellectuals?.

has been arrested in
Saudi Arabia.
This arrest was organised after Canadian Police
raided the Khawaja family’s
Ottawa home and detaining Mahboob’s son, Momin
Khawaja on yet to be proven
charges of terrorism.
What gets interesting is the ambiguity of the yet
to be proven charges. For
example, a publication ban has been placed on
court proceedings...why?
According to Mr. Greenberg, the lawyer for Momin
Khawaja:

IRAQ:

The situation in Iraq changed over the weekend.
The U.S. is on the point of
losing it's entire Shi'a support base. Muqtada
al-Sadr seems to be ready to
join the overall Sunni-Kurdish resistance
movement. PRESIDENT
BUSH
has personally come out against the Shi'a fire brand.
America's viceroy in Iraq
has declared him an "outlaw." A serious effort is
underway to divide the
Shia community by charging the newly emerging
defender of Iraq for the
murder of Al-Khoe, a Shia cleric who was brought
to Iraq by the U.S. and was
murdered early in the struggle against the
occupation.
During the fighting on April 4, the U.S.
liberally used helicopters and
tanks INSIDE BAGHDAD's Sadr City area. Large
numbers of demonstrators are
reported killed. Of these, U.S.
media
have reported 52 Iraqis killed. The
Shias are at a turning point, so they were often
not sure if they want to be
demonstrators or fighters. The fighters finally
took on the U.S. forces and
inflicted considerable casualties, of which the
U.S. admits 8 killed 24 wounded.

resistance. If Muqtada al-Sadr
sticks to his defiant stance, the rest of the

"democracy" under American tutelage under the
leadership of Ayatollah

intends to crush the Fallujah resistance. The

CLAIMS SAYYID al-SADR is AGAINST "DEMOCRACY"

"In this particular incident with Sadr, this is
one person who's deciding
that rather than allow democracy to flourish,
he's going to exercise force,"
Bush told reporters in North Carolina.
"The message to the Iraqi citizens is they don't
have to fear that America
will turn and run," Bush said.
Sadr issued a defiant statement after being
labeled an outlaw by Iraq's U.S.
Governor Paul Bremer: "If that means breaking the
law of the American
tyranny...I'm proud of that and that is why I'm
in revolt."
