PERSONAL:
One of America's Greatest Medical Researchers is a Pakistani Muslim.
October 21, 2005: An elaborate Investiture ceremony was held at
Northwestern University, Chicago, for Teepu Siddique, MD. The
auditorium was packed with scientists, technocrats and scholars
as sophisticated dignitaries in the world of medicine hailed
the work done by Dr. Teepu Siddique in the field of ALS
research. ALS is one of the most horrifying diseases facing humanity.
Dr. Teepu Siddique's acceptance remarks were interspersed with
verses from the Qur'an, with allusions to the life of the Prophet,
pbuh, and with reference to the impetus he received from the
piety and wit of his father, Dr. M.S. Qureshi, and his mother
Mahmudah Qureshi, two of Pakistan's most distinguished educators.
New Trend hails Dr. Teepu's Investiture as the Les Turner
ALS Foundation/Herbert C. Wenske Foundation Professor at
the Feinberg School of Medicine.

HORRIFIC TRAGEDY in PAKISTAN-Kashmir CONTINUES to UNFOLD
As the death toll in Kashmir-Pakistan reaches near 80,000,
Islamic Centers across America as well as numerous non-Muslim
organizations have sent donations and goods to the disaster area.
The Islamic Center in Augusta, Georgia, excelled with a $10,000
donation to Edhi Foundation.and a team of Islamic doctors.
Gulf Medical Relief Fund [GMRF] gave $5,000 to a team of
physicians going out from Houston.
Islamic groups, organizations, individuals are in the death zone,
trying to help the survivors of this cataclysm. The anti-Islam
groups, governments, agencies were not able to compete with
the tremendous dedication of the Islamists.

Eyewitness Account of Black America's Glory Oct.15: Farrakhan
Makes History The People Speak: Millions More Movement:
Malik Zulu Shabazz Puts Bush on Trial
By Nadrat Siddique
The scene is almost surreal: Pan-African flag fluttering
against the backdrop of the Capitol Rotunda, as if it is
the Flag; reggae great Wyclef Jean singing "Bismillah
ar-rahman ir-raheem" in his softly accented voice; the
Capitol lawn full of Black people with fists raised
saying "Black Power!" Is this a beautiful dream shortly
to be interrupted by the sahoor alarm clock?
The National Capitol Police fumbling through my backpack
remind me that it is not a dream. I am at the Millions More
Event, in Washington, DC. The organizers of the Millions More
Movement have, perhaps for dramatic effect, set up their stage
immediately at the foot of the U.S. Capitol Building, and
anyone wishing to enter the area is searched.
I am here to extend solidarity from the Pakistani people to
Black people in their fight for justice. One of the ten points
in the Millions More agenda was enough to draw me here: the
reparations issue. Millions of black people died on board
slave ships en route to the Americas; many more suffered
and continue to suffer as a result of slavery and its aftereffects.
As a Muslim, I know that there cannot be peace without justice.
And justice demands that reparations be paid to the descendants
of Black slaves.
When I finally get through security, I thrill to see Damu Smith,
a longtime DC –based community activist at the mic. Damu
personifies internationalism, and years ago lent a helping
hand to Jamaat al-Muslimeen, when we organized a forum in
Washington, DC, drawing parallels between the Native American,
Kurdish, and Palestinian struggles. He is the founder of
Black Voices for Peace, which was very vocal against the
Iraq war from its inception. His voice emanates strength,
as he names Bush a war criminal, and I almost forget that
he is recovering from cancer.
The agenda of the Millions More Movement includes the issue
of political prisoners as one of its ten points.
I am pleased to see Jamil El-Amin's supporters everywhere,
with pants drawn up to their ankles "wahabi-style," and shirts
which say "mujahideen" and "Free H. Rap." Just feet away from
the Capitol, they are energetically hawking the imam's
Revolution by the Book and Die Nigger Die. The books are going fast.
Representatives of Malachi York, Mumia Abu Jamal, and other
political prisoners are present. A young woman from the
Jericho Movement--which calls attention to the hundreds of
Black political prisoners who remain in U.S. prisons after
decades of imprisonment—hands me a flier with Assata's picture,
condemning the bounty placed on the sister's head.
NOI women in hijab are everywhere. A young man in a turban
sells roses. A man in a dazzling golden West African outfit
strides by. Indeed, many of the event participants proudly
sport colorful Afrocentric or African garb. The attire seems
to signify pride in Africa and a deliberate departure from
the mass culture of racist fashion designers.
In a tone reminiscent of the sixties, nearly all the speakers
call for Black power. Red/Black/Green Flags—more than I've seen
in one place--flutter in the breeze.
Numerous international representatives extend solidarity to
the Millions More Movement: a representative of the Cuban
government; Jamaican Prime Minister P.J. Patterson; and
Native American leader-turned-Hollywood actor, Russell Means,
who says, "I want to be a part of Farrakhan's community."
Women are among the most powerful speakers of the day:
Viola Plummer, of the African Support Organization, entreats
the audience to compel "the lying, blood-sucking government
of this country to remove the sanctions against Zimbabwe."
The sanctions, she says, are in place because Robert Mugabe
took the land back. She ends with the stirring Pan-Africanist cry:
"Free the land!"
Marlene Bastille, of the Haiti Action Network, beseeches
the audience: "Haiti needs you. The people of Haiti are
suffering. I am asking you to ask Haiti to free all
prisoners of conscience. Haitians are the only ones
[who are non-political prisoners--ed] held in this land
indefinitely without trial."
Eryka Badu comes to the mic. At first, she refuses to sing,
speaking in such a sombre manner that the crowd falls
silent—for the first time in several hours--taking in
her stirring words.
"I am not my hair. I am not my skin. I am not my clothes.
We forget we have the power of thoughts and words. "
"I'm not going to stand here and ask for reparations. I'll
be standing here another four hundred years."
"I want you and me to stand in direct opposition to oppression,
negativity. It's time to realize you are the one with the
power to change this world."
"We have no more time. There will be no more leaders...The
earth is tired. It's ignorance to continue to hate each other.
The revolution begins with you," she tells the people.
A Black elder, who noticed me with pad and pen in hand, tells
me he drove up for the day from Richmond, VA. Playing devil's
advocate, I ask him whether Farrakhan's association with the
event discouraged him from participating. "I'm not a Muslim,"
he says. "But Farrakhan is the theological leader for all religions."
Many of the orators blast the government's criminal neglect
in New Orleans. Ron Daniels, of the Center for Constitutional
Rights, says, "We must make sure the Afrikan city of New Orleans
is returned to the Afrikan people."
Renowned rappers Chuck D (Public Enemy), Professor Griff, and
Dead Prez are in attendance. Unlike the commercialized rappers,
they have sacrificed big contracts and remain steadfast to the
original message of rap, opposing racism and oppression.
Perhaps the most masterful delivery of the day is that of
Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz. He begins with the slogan:
"Free all political prisoners!"
"Free Mumia! Is Mumia the real criminal, or is George Bush?"
"Free Jamil El-Amin! Is Jamil El-Amin guilty, or is it the
criminals who allowed our people to drown in New Orleans?"
"How can you have a war on terror when George Bush hasn't
been arrested?" he continues, to thunderous applause and laughter.
Then the fiery young attorney brilliantly launches the delivery
of a mock verdict: "How do you find George Bush on the issue of racism?"
"Guilty!" roars the crowd.
"How do you find George Bush on the issue of human rights?"
"Guilty!" is the unanimous cry.
"How do you find George Bush on handling New Orleans?"
"Guilty!" roars the crowd.
You can almost hear the gavel slamming down, as Malik thunders
"Impeach George Bush!"
By this time, the fast is catching up with me, and I decide to
take a rest, carefully collecting the folds of my sari, and join
the brothers and sisters sitting on the grass to finish watching
the event on a giant video screen a few blocks away from the stage.
Minister Donna Farrakhan takes the stage. Although I'd heard
Farrakhan himself speak on many prior occasions, I'd never heard
any of his family members. Her style of delivery resembles that
of her father. A fiery speaker in her own right, her eyes sparkle
as she rouses the crowd to welcome her father.
Farrakhan appears on the video screen, majestically making his
way across a landing with his entourage of FOI. That he has
preempted others to speak at this juncture in the program,
and that he looks rather frail, walking with some difficulty,
concerns me. But when he reaches the stage area and takes the
mic, all sign of weakness are gone.
"I believe that we can charge the federal government with
criminal neglect of the people of MS, LA, and TX," he declares.
"We can't sue the federal government, but we can sue the
Department of Homeland Security. I strongly believe that if
the people on those rooftops had blond hair and blue eyes,
they would not have waited five days."
"We charge the government with criminal neglect," he repeats.
"Now they are saying they won't re-build the ninth ward," he says,
referring to the impoverished New Orleans district. "The government
will never do for the poor and oppressed of this nation, unless
and until we organize to make them to do it."
"Are you sure you want a movement?" he asks. "Are you sure? If
you are sure, then be ready for opposition. We are going to
be tested by opposition."
In a style that is uniquely his, he throws out ideas to the
people, soliciting feedback—and gets it. He suggests the need
for peoples' ministries: a Ministry of Health and Human Service,
a Ministry of Agriculture, a Ministry of Education, a Ministry
of Defense, a Ministry of the Economy, a Ministry of Justice,
and a Ministry of Information. The brothers and sisters around
me are enraptured--clapping, cheering, and shouting
encouragement. Farrakhan is clearly speaking to their
needs. It is an engaged audience reminiscent of Malcolm's.
The Ministry of Agriculture is needed, Farrakhan says, in
order to provide for the people, as "the merchants of death,
the pharmaceuticals and fast food industry, are not going
to do it."
The Ministry of Defense is needed, he says, because "Our
people are natural born warriors, but they are fighting
the wrong war."
The Ministry of Justice is needed to counter the prison-industrial
complex, and the Ministry of Information is needed to counter
the propaganda of the likes of UPI and Reuters, he continues.
The people are thirsting for change. The suggestions for
Ministries of Justice and Education draw the loudest cheers.
The people do not view the government as theirs. No
editorializing here.
Then, Farrakhan refers to the Democrats as the House Negroes.
He seems to be proposing action independent of the two-party system.
Farrakhan ends his speech with comments about the international
scene. He notes the hypocrisy of Blair, in offering to forgive
some of Africa's debt, when Britain has robbed Africa for decades.
He calls on Caribbean nations to unite against foreign
exploitation. He draws a powerful analogy between the Iraq
war, and a contest between a quadriplegic who has been thrown
in the ring to compete with the heavyweight champion. It is no
big achievement if the heavyweight champion wins against the
quadriplegic, he proclaims.
My final impressions:
-
The Millions More Movement went to great lengths to be as
inclusive as possible, specifically inviting all races and
genders to the event; Farrakhan spoke as an internationalist,
invoking unity among black, brown, yellow, and poor people
throughout the world, and emphasizing the issue of workers rights;
 -
the event drew numbers far in excess of a million people,
signifying a need among the people to take action, after New Orleans;
 -
"Sunni" Muslims, Indo-Pakistani and Arab communities (my people)
were still largely absent, demonstrating their lack of grasp of
both U.S. history, natural allies, and the need to build bridges
with the oppressed communities of the U.S.

Einstein Warned Against Zionism.
ISRAEL, OUR DANGEROUS PARASITE.
Jewish Racism in its own Words.
ADL, AIPAC, HILLEL, JABOTISNSKY, BEGIN, SHARON,
Elie Wiesel, Daniel Pipes
by Edward Miller, San Rafael, California
" All the animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others "
Animal Farm by George Orwell
For years, when in lectures, columns or letters to the editor,
some have criticized the behavior of the Zionist government of
Israel, the ADL or local supporters of Zionism have responded
with name-calling. One can critique the politics of the French,
the Germans, the Dutch or most other foreign countries without
this barrage of hatred, but never Israel. Character-assassination
has been a characteristic of the Zionists almost from that
movement's ascension in Israel. Even Jews who dare criticize
their Zionist State are labeled " Self-Hating Jews"
Brigadier General James J. David (U.S. Army, Ret), said it well
on 14 Aug. 2005: "The Jewish campaign to effectively silence any
critic of Israel may well be the biggest contributing factor in
this birth of world terrorism we see today. "
Zionism is a relatively recent political movement in Judaism's
5000-year history. The movement was initiated around the turn
of the last century as a colonialization scheme with fascist
trappings by such Ashkinazi Jews as Theodore Hertzel and
Vladimir Jabotinsky . The latter, in his 1923 essay THE IRON WALL
outlined the movement's objectives clearly: " We cannot give any
compensation for Palestine, neither to the Palestinians no to
other Arabs. Therefore a voluntary agreement is inconceivable.
All colonization, even the most restrictive, must continue in
defiance of the native population. Therefore it can continue
and develope only under the shield of force, which comprises a
Iron Wall which the local population can never break through.
This is our Arab policy.
To formulate it any other way would be hypocrisy."
Jabotinsky also spelled out the Zionist doctrine of the "purity
of Jewish blood" in his "Letter of Autonomy": " It is impossible
for a man to become assimilated with people whose blood is
different than his own.
...There can be no assimilation. We shall never allow such
things as mixed marriage because the preservation of national
integrity is impossible except by means of racial purity and
for that purpose we shall have this territory where our people
will constitute the racially pure inhabitants." (The Hidden
History of Zionism by Ralph Scheonmam pgs 23-26 ) It was the
adoption of these fascist policies by Israel's Freedom Party,
headed by Menachem Begin which stimulated Albert Einstein and
other prominent Jews to write that warning letter in the
NY Times in 1948, ( see in my August report) I quote again
from the Einstein letter:
"Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our time is
the emergence in the newly created State of Israel, of the
Freedom Party ..a political party closely akin in its
organization, methods, political philosophy and social
appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out
of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi,
a terrorist right-wing chauvinist organization......This is the
unmistakable stamp of a Fascist party for whom terrorism
(against Jews, Arabs and British alike) and misrepresentation
are the means and a "Leader State " is the goal. "
The basic tenets of Begin's Freedom Party, which ( in modern slang )
"morphed" into the Likud Party run today by Sharon, clearly exhibit
the fascist nature of Zionism. Like Germany under the Nazis, Israel
has invaded and attempted to colonize its neighbors: Lebanon in 1982,
Syria, Jordan, Egypt, the West Bank and Gaza in 1967. The false
ideologies are surprisingly similar: Hitler said the
Teutonic Gods promised his people: "Lebensraum" . The Zionists
say Abraham's God promised the Jews "Eretz Israel" . Both parties
embrace "racial purity", the Jews as " God's Chosen " vs the Nazi's
" Pure Aryan Race " ) and both Hitler and Sharon, arising from
democratic roots, found support in their country's
military-industrial base.
One major difference stands out: the German people funded
Hitler's expansionism, whereas it has been the US taxpayers
who, to a great extent, have paid for Israel's expansionism.
Adolph Hitler never received complimentary press coverage in
the US but our President Bush has stated more than once,
that Sharon is " a man of peace".
The fascist ideology of the Likud Party has kept the Mideast
in an uproar for over half a century. In his memoirs of his years
in the White House former president Jimmy Carter wrote that there
could have been peace between the Arabs and the Israelis had it
not been for the bigoted, Nazi-like racial views of Israeli's
Prime Minister Menachem Begin. Begin, Carter recalled, believed
the Jews were the Master Race, a holy people superior to
Egyptians and Arabs. Begin also believed that God wanted the
Jews to own the land, so there was absolutely no basis for
peace. The Jews lusted after the land and intended to have it."
"Holocaust activist," Elie Wiesel, who recently died, claimed
the Jews are a superior race. "Everything about us is different
..Jews are ontologically exceptional." ( Texe Maars 11-25-2003 )
Most leaders of the Zionist movement, are Ashkinazi Jews, and
though they love to quote Abraham's promise of: "Eretz Israel "
(expanded Israel ) to the Hebrews, not one of them is even
distantly related to Abraham. These Jews are descendents of
an Eastern European people, converted to Judiasm on the order
of their ruler between 700 and 710 AD, and later dispersed
westward throughout Poland and Russia by repeated foreign
invaders, including the Mongols. It is those Ashkinazi converts
to Judiasm who have been the troublemakers.
The indigenous Arabs were aware of this racial difference long
before any westerners. In February, 1945 near the end of WW II,
British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, along with U.S.
President Franklin Roosevelt and Soviet Leader Joseph Stalin,
met in conference at Yalta in the Crimea, Rooseverlt, before
that conference, had decided to establish better relations
with leaders of the Mideast nations, and to that end had his
staff arrange a meeting with King Ibn Saud, founder of Saudi Arabia.
After the Yalta Conference, the meeting took place on the Red Sea
where Roosevelt and King Ibn Saud met on the deck of the destroyer,
USS Murphy. The King, seated on a gilded throne, which had been
hoisted aboard, was surrounded by two of his 20 sons, and an
entourage of "fierce-looking dark-skinned, barefoot men, each
with a sword or dagger bound to his waist by a gold-encrusted
belt. " while " on the USS Murphjy's fantail, sheep were grazing
in a makeshift corral", King Ibn Saud having insisted that
freshly-killed meat be available for him and his men on a daily basis.
( The Link April/May 2005 pg. 2)
Roosevelt and Ibn Saud, though neither spoke the other's language,
hit it off immediately. Roosevelt remembered to neither smoke nor
enjoy his afternoon cocktail in deference to the King's Muslim
religious sensitivities. According to Colonel William A. Eddy,
who interpreted between the two, FDR, during those intense five
hours the two leaders spent together, asked several times for
Ibn Saud's assistance in settling "remnant Jews in Central Europe "
who had "suffered at the hands of the Nazis". Ibn Saud's reply was
prompt and laconic: "Give them and their descendents the choicest
lands of the Germans who had oppressed them" When FDR repeated
his request, saying the Jews "had a sentimental desire to settle
in Palestine" the King repeated: " Make the enemy and the
oppressor pay; that is how we Arabs wage war.",
( FDR MEETS IBN SAUD by William A. Eddy pg.32)
American diplomat Charles E. Bohlen, who, along with Eddy, was
a member of FDR's official party in Yalta, wrote in his memoirs:
WITNESS TO HISTORY, that " Ibn Saud gave a long dissertation on
the basic attitude of Arabs towards Jews...He denied that there
had ever been any conflict between the two branches of the Semitic
race in the Middle East. What changed the whole picture was the
immigration from Eastern Europe of a people who were technically
and culturally on a higher level than the Arabs. As a result,
Ibn Saud said, the Arabs had greater difficulty in surviving
economically. The fact that these energetic Europeans were Jewish
was not the cause of the trouble, he said: " it was their
superior skills and culture."
THE LINK April/May 2005 pgs 8-9 article by Thomas Lippman
During my almost 15 years as a columnist I have actively
supported both the Palestinians as well as those Jews brave
enough to fight Zionism, including friends Israel Shahak and
Alfred M. Lilienthal. (See my interview with Shahak in the
Coastal Post August 2001 ) It has been my hope that an Israeli
leader would appear who would reverse that country's apartheid
behavior and stop its Zionist expansionism.
The Jew's "Anti Defamation League " (ADL), despite its name,
is really not opposed to defamation. For years it has been
defaming anyone critical of Israel and has shown complete
disregard for those long-admired fundamentals of Judaism
outlined in the Old Testament: "What does the Lord require
of you, O man, but to do justice, love mercy, and walk
humbly with your God."
Criticism of Israeli today is sharply limited in the United
States. Ex-Congressman Paul Findley, in his book: THEY DARE TO
SPEAK OUT describes in detail the manner in which AIPAC money
in Washington has been used to discipline members of Congress
who criticize Israel. More recently, American University
professors who dare critic Israel in classroom discussions
are being reported by students of the Jewish "Hillel"
campus organizations. They report to Professor Daniel Pipe's
" Campus Watch" in Washington, and our Representatives are
then pressured to warn the designated University administrator,
that federal funds might be withheld unless his professors
watch their comments.
Even research at the University level has come under Zionist
control. " A key research paper showing that Middle Eastern Jews
( Sephardin ) and Palestinians are genetically almost identical
has been pulled from a leading journal. Academics who had
already received their copies of HUMAN IMMUNOLOGY, were urged
to rip out the offending pages and throw them away...The
article's lead author, Spanish geneticist Professor Antonio
Arnaz-Villena of Complutense University in Madrid,
said: "I am stunned" )
Present day Israel, armed to the teeth with nuclear warheads and
the missiles to deliver them, and with her continued occupation
of parts of Lebanon ( Shebaa Farms), Syria ( the Golan Heights) ,
as well as large areas of the West Bank, is the real threat to
Middle East peace. Although she withdrew her troops from Jordan,
in her treaty with the late King Hussein, Jewish farmers were
allowed to keep 25-year renewable leases on previously occupied
Jordanian farmland and Jewish mining firms, 25-year renewable
leases on rich mineral deposits in Jordan's Dead River Valley.
Even Sharon's withdrawal from Gaza, the most crowded slum in
the world, is a sham. The Israelis left a bantustan, covered
with the rubble of thousands of destroyed buildings, bulldozed
roads, and ravaged water and sewage facilities. Gaza's still-
caged Palestine population, their borders controlled by either
Israeli or the Egyptian military, their airport denied them,
and access to their Mediterranean seashore limited cannot
visit their holy sites in Jerusalem, or even family and friends
in other West Bank villages without special permits (often denied)
from the Israeli military. Thumbing his nose at the world,
Sharon arranged for 12,000 more illegal settlement homes to
be built as he bragged about the " sacrifice" of Gaza withdrawal,
and is still extending his "security wall" to further isolate
the Palestinians, despite demands by the ICC that it be removed.
Sharon's behavior helps create the terrorist responses of which
Bush and Blair complain.
Americans need to think seriously about removing our country from
what President George Washington in his farewell address described
as a " passionate attachment " which, Washington warned " produces
a variety of evils: sympathy for the favorite Nation, facilitating
the illusion of an imaginary common interest... where no real
common interest exists, concessions to the favorite Nation of
privileges denied to others.....and by exciting jealousy, ill-will,
and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal
privileges are withheld.... It gives to ambitious, corrupted,
or deluded citizens... facility to betray or sacrifice the
interests of their own country......... to mislead public
opinion... Such an attachment of a small or weak countrry,
towards a great and powerful nation, dooms the former to be
the satellite of the latter. History and experience prove,
that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of
Republican Government."
