CAIR ATTEMPT TO INVOLVE
U.S. Muslims
in LONDON GUILT
Following Condileeza Rice's visit of condolence to the British
embassy, a heavily funded Muslim office which is known for
supporting U.S. government policies urged U.S. Muslims to send
condolences to the British. Previously CAIR has damaged the cause
of U.S. Muslims by urging them to bloc vote for
Bush.
Muslims must look carefully at what's going on here.
-
At the individual level, we should sympathize with people who have
been hurt in the London attacks. It is natural to be sympathetic.
All human beings suffer pain, bleed, have families and in that
sense we are with them.

-
However, the idea that the entire body of American Muslims should
condole with the British is damaging for the self-respect and
dignity of American Muslims. It implies that somehow ALL of us
are to be held responsible for what happened and we should hurry
to show our innocence before something happens to us.

-
As citizens of the
U.S.
we are responsible as individuals for what we do. No U.S.
Muslim is involved in the London attacks. Even if one were
involved, only that person would be held responsible, not the
whole community.

-
If there is a principle according to which the entire Muslim
community should condole when a tragedy takes place, consider
the tragedies which have preceded London. CAIR did not ask anyone
to condole with the people of Baghdad, Najaf, Fallujah, Ramadi,
Baquba, Mosul and other
Iraqi
cities.

-
According to Lancet magazine, 100,000 Iraqi civilians have been
killed in coalition air strikes in Iraq. Muslim groups like CAIR,
aligned with the Bush-Blair team did not condole with the Iraqis.

-
The people of Fallujah were subjected to house-to-house,
mosque-by-mosque destruction DURING
RAMADAN,
with the horrific attacks continuing DURING the night of LAYLATUL QADR.
There was no CAIR or U.S. outcry on this, let alone formal condolence.

-
As a documentary titled TALIBAN COUNTRY [produced by an Australian woman]
indicates,
Afghanistan
is being subjected to a reign of terror by the U.S. military.
Earlier, during the war itself, hundreds of Afghan villages were
destroyed in U.S. air attacks, Kandahar itself being subjected
to a rain of bombs. Not a squeak was heard on this matter from
U.S. Muslim entities like CAIR.

-
The Muslim world is bleeding at revelations of torture in Abu Ghraib,
Guantanamo Bay and Afghanistan. The
QUR'AN
ITSELF HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY DESECRATED.
[In a round about way the U.S. admitted that the Qur'an was
urinated on and placed on, if not in, a urinal.]
CAIR bleated a little about the need for investigation but no
condemnation and no condolences.

-
HOW SHOULD U.S. MUSLIMS RESPOND TO THE LONDON BOMBINGS?:
Here are a few suggestions:

-
Never think that you will be able to appease the people in power
by subservience, "uncle tomming," and "we are not bad guys" pleading. The
Zionists
who have taken over this great country will walk over you if you
prostrate yourself in front of them.

-
Do not break the law. Know your
rights.
If you sense that you will be persecuted or your rights will
be violated, get an attorney.

-
You don't need a subservient organization like CAIR to help you.
Your local MOSQUE should be your center of support. Mobilize your
mosque for this situation. In the LONG RUN there is no alternative
to local roots and support.

-
Your non-Muslim neighbors, next door and across the street and
across town, at your job, should know you as a person who cares,
is decent and helpful and supportive of good causes.

-
DEPRESSION is common in situations like this where misleaders
like CAIR urge Muslims to kow tow to the embassy of an aggressive
military power which has occupation forces in two Muslim countries
and which is hand-in-glove with
Israel.

-
DEAL WITH DEPRESSION by making sure you carry out the FIVE
obligatory prayers. Do some good cooking for people whom you
care for. Go for a long walk. Make extra prayers at night, especially
late night Tahajjud.

-
Tell yourself: My supporters are Allah, His messenger and
the believers. I am part of an UMMAH of ONE BILLION plus
people. Say this repeatedly to yourself.

-
If depression continues, go to your local mosque, clean and dust
the floor and sides. Shine the windows. Make sure all the books
are arranged properly.

-
Still depressed? Take a mop and cleaning fluids and clean the
bathroom of the mosque.

-
After that, go home and call your relatives and friends. Tell
them that you believe in Allah and His messenger and you seek
forgiveness for your sins.

-
Every morning and evening, embrace your spouse and your children
[if any] and tell them that you believe that all power belongs
to Allah. Speak it out. Don't be shy.

Masaud Khan, Seif Chapman, Hammad Abdur Raheem to be "re-sentenced".
The Hearing is Scheduled for July 29.
We urge Muslims to attend the hearing. These Muslims are quite
innocent and have not been convicted of any violence against
anyone. Some legal tricks were used by the prosecution to give
them long sentences. Even the judge was distressed by the
sentencing guidelines she received. Hopefully this time their
sentences will be sharply reduced.
[These are the innocents who were dubbed "Virginia Jihad Network"
by Ashcroft's people.]
Here is a brief message from Masaud's mother followed by the
address for the court followed by directions:
"Masaud, Seif and Hammad's hearing will be before Judge Brinkema
at 1:30 in the afternoon on July 29th. I would appreciate everyone's
prayers for them during another difficult time."

American Indian Leader Moved and Put Into Solitary Confinement
[With thanks to Sis. Hamdiyyeh, with ref. to Pacifica radio.]
Jailed Native American Leader Leonard Peltier was transferred
from Leavenworth prison in Kansas to the U.S. Penitentiary in
Terre Haute, Indiana where he was put in solitary confinement.
Peltier was convicted for the deaths of two FBI agents who died
during a 1975 shoot-out with the American Indian Movement known as
AIM
on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Peltier is
serving two life sentences for the fatal shootings but has
always maintained his innocence. He has been in jail for almost 30 years.
Peltier has been serving time in Leavenworth prison in Kansas.
Last week, his grandson went to visit him and found out that he
had been abruptly transferred and put in the hole,
or solitary confinement, at the U.S. Penitentiary in
Terre Haute, Indiana.
