Shawwal 26, 1432/September 25, 2011 # 40
Why is Syed Maudoodi more important than other Islamic
teachers of our era? This article might change your thinking
about Islam.
Please scroll way down.
Very important War News from Yemen, Afghanistan and Pakistan
are given below.
Please scroll to end.
Spotlights from Imam Badi Ali, National Shoora leader, North
Carolina
-
Spotlight # 1:
 -
In the near future, a reverse migration may
begin from the United States to other countries.
 -
Spotlight #2:
 -
The US is becoming just like any other
country, with a service economy, restaurants, hotels, etc.
There is little manufacturing except in the area of weapons.
As a result we have war. With the failure of war, even this
industry might flop.
 -
Spotlight #3:
 -
Canada and other countries want professional
and highly educated immigrants to come in. The US has
switched to the influx of labor. It wants servants even if
they don't know basic English. It's becoming like Arab
countries except that those countries have oil. Here, the
economy is going down.
 -
Spotlight #4:
 -
Other countries back their money with gold.
The USA simply prints more money, There is no backing for
its money except weapons.

Jamaat al-Muslimeen's National Shoora meets on October 15,
inshallah
"Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the
depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light..."
[The Qur'an 2:257]
Muslims in America need a well thought out program of da'wah
and non-violent resistance to the oppressors of the American
people.
Most US Muslims oppose American policies but owing to lack
of leadership and awe of the kuffar, they indulge in
conspiracy theories.
On the other side are the small but heavily funded
pro-government cliques like CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, CIOGC, MPAC,
etc. They echo and hail just about all the moves of the
Zionist regime in Washington.
We have a program for peaceful change and Allah-oriented
activism which would make the 9 million Muslims of America a
force for good. Jamaat al-Muslimeen works strictly within
the law of the land and is not connected to any group
overseas.
Jamaat al-Muslimeen Press Note on Mahmoud Abbas' Speech in
the UN.
: respond to:
ksidd37398@aol.com
"Do not obey anyone in disobedience to Allah. Obedience is
permitted only in the Good [ordained by Allah]." [Prophet
Muhammad, peace be on him, Hadith in sahih Bukhari #7257 and
Sahih Muslim #1840]
Mahmoud Abbas' speech [9.23] in the UN made a mockery of
the aspirations of Palestine. He has no right to recognize
Israel or to call for a two state solution. Israel's entity
is a violation of Islam. Abbas, with massive funds from the
US and Israel, is in control of only 22% of the West Bank.
Most of free Palestine is under Hamas rule and occupied
Palestine is under Israeli rule.
Abbas' speech should be considered the last hurrah of the
secularist Palestinian past. The future belongs to Islam.
Abbas is not Islamic in the least: can't even say "asalamu
alaikum" right. He was speaking to the unbelievers on Friday
when he should have been getting ready for Juma' salat.
Ever heard of a Jew making speeches on the Sabbath?
Abbas is under the impression that Palestine can gain its
rights through the western powers. He won't mind if he heads
a rump "state" totally dominated by Israel. He needs to
know: secularism is dead in the Muslim world.
See below Dr. Siddique's thoughts on President Obama's
speech of 9.21.
Press note #2: Jamaat al-Muslimeen supports Islamic Women's
Right to wear Islamic dress including Niqab. We hail the 91
women, including 2 just punished by France for wearing
niqab.
See the peaceful challenge to French secularism. Scroll
down.
Press note #3: We condemn the vile verdict of a court in
Irvine, California which has found 11 Muslim students guilty
of disrupting the speech of an Israeli terrorism supporter.
Universities are the last bastion of freedom in America but
the Zionists, who already control the media, are feverishly
working to shut down protests against Israeli Jews who are
part of the genocide against Palestine
Those who spoke out Loud and Clear against Troy Davis'
Execution. Protest in Baltimore, Maryland. Sept. 21.
Activists from the All Peoples' Congress, Baltimore SCLC,
National Action Network, Pledge of Resistance, Jamaat
al-Muslimeen, Amnesty International, Red Emma's Bookstore
and others protested the pending Troy Davis execution across
from the Baltimore Convention Center. Among their chants:
"Tell the truth and stop the lies, Troy Davis doesn't have
to die!" — with Ameejill Whitlock and 6 others: Colleen
Davidson, Sine Hwang Jensen, Ron Kipling Williams, Sharon
Black, Cortly C D Witherspoon, Lee Patterson.

Some Thoughts on President Obama's Speech & Israel: Where is
he taking America and Why?
Arab dictators, Holocaust Story, Osama bin Laden...
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD
President Obama spoke spoke at the United Nations on
September 21.It was a saddening and painful performance. He
has global information at his fingertips. How does he manage
to tie himself into this tangle of misinformation?
My students waited for hours in line to vote for Obama. An
African American leader whom I respect declared that Obama
was the Black Messiah. That was then. Now we see that he did
not have a word of solace for Troy Davis' family on the day
of his execution which was condemned by Americans across the
county.
Let's look at Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Libya. The US had
the closest possible relationship with the dictators in
these countries, including intelligence sharing and sale of
weaponry, right up to the day of the people's uprisings. Now
President Obama claims that the US is on the side of the
people in these countries, not the dictators. Who is going
to believe him, other than those who want to believe
him?
People don't forget decades of arbitrary arrests, open ended
imprisonment, torture, rape and murder by the dictators with
the full support of the US.
These people are not rising up for western democracy and
secularism. Can't the man in the White House see millions
praying in Tahrir Square, or the mass Islamic rallies in
Yemen?
Surely NATO has successfully brought up a clique of
Europeanized non-leaders who will now be installed in Libya.
However, NATO's bombing has killed many Libyan civilians
[Cynthia McKinney observed the horrors] and Libyans are
turning against the West. There is a significant Islamic
component in the Libyan "rebels" including al-Qaida units.
NATO has inadvertently helped them. Doesn't the President
know?
In Syria, Assad is committing atrocities which other
dictators couldn't match. The President is disturbed about
this but has been relatively inactive against Assad. There
is strong ground for the suspicion that Assad is linked to
Israel and the US. Remember that the US sent Canadian Muslim
Maher Arar to be tortured in Syria. The US was sure that
Syria would do it and Syria did. Frequently Assad hands over
Jordanian exiles to the King in Amman, a staunch US ally, to
be tortured and in some cases, executed. The President seems
to be waiting to see if the masses can remove Assad. If they
look like they can do it, the President may well decide that
they too want democracy and that America is with them!
The crux of Obama's speech was about Israel. He sounded like
an Israeli. Someone should remind the President that he is
the President of the USA, not of Israel. Looks like the
Jewish disinformation machine has really done a number on
Obama. He was regurgitating Zionist propaganda which would
be a problem even for good Jews to swallow.
He was mourning the pathetic little rockets Palestinian
fringe groups fire at Israel which have killed 4 Israelis in
three years. Incredible as it is, Obama still pretends that
the genocide Israel committed in Gaza did not happen. Israel
used tanks, heavy artillery and cluster bombs. There were
thousands of Palestinian casualties, including the slaughter
of more than 400 children.
Surely Obama knows that Israel has nuclear weapons and its
military has more fire power than that of ALL the Arab
armies combined.
The weakest aspect of his speech was his attempt to use the
Jewish holocaust story to defend Israel. Someone please ask
the President, has he read ANY book critical of the Jewish
holocaust story? EVEN ONE BOOK? If not, then what is the
basis for this indulgence in hard core Jewish
propaganda?
What about the suffering of the German people? A plethora of
well documented information now exists which verifies the
fact that German civilians suffered much more than the Jews
at the hands of the Brirish and US air forces. Every German
city was literally INCINERATED. That was the real holocaust.
The fire bombing of Dresden, Dusseldorf, Duisberg, Hamburg,
Nuremberg, Aachen, Berlin, Stuttgart, Cologne, you name it,
killed hundreds of thousands of German CIVILIANS, mostly
women and children.
[See the research of David Irving in Dresden: Apocalypse
1945 and Jorg Friedrich in The Fire. ]
Churchill's Jewish friend "The Prof" gave him the idea of
setting entire cities on fire.[Both authors agree.]
After the war, 15,000,000 German civilians died or were
killed by the allies after they were evicted from their
homes by the western powers. That was the real
holocaust.
The President is rejoicing over the assassination of Shaykh
Osama bin Laden. Again there is a gap between the
President's claims and what his own people are saying on the
ground. On 9.11's tenth anniversary, security measures at
American airports reached a level never before enforced.
Certainly there was no sign of peace for millions of
travellers.
US media sources indicate that a smooth transition of power
has taken place in al-Qaidah with the Egyptian Islamic
leader Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri firmly in command. Al-Qaida's
allies in Afghanistan, the Taliban, are winning by all
accounts. Its allies in Pakistan, the TTP [tehrike talibane
Pakistan] have re-emerged in Khyber, South Waziristan, Dir
and other areas "conquered" earlier by the Pakistani army.
They have started attacking Pak military in Karachi, the
most spectacular being the takeover of the Mehran naval base
for 16 hours.
In Yemen, al-Qaidah has taken over most of an ENTIRE
province known as Abyan. A leading Yemeni political party
[in the major cities] al-Islah is suspected of being
pro-Osama. There is an al-Qaidah in the Maghreb which has
struck in Algeria. Even the Nigerian Boko Haram is coming
under their influence. Somalia's al-Shabab, though strictly
independent, are also inspired by Osama. The most shocking
reality is that parts of Iraq, including parts of Diyala
province, Mosul, Tal Afar and even some of Bagdad, are
heavily under al-Qaida control.
So the idea that killing Osama killed the armed Islamic
opposition is a fantasy. [All this information is from
western sources. I didn't make this up.]
The US can still make friends with Iran, Hamas and
Hizbullah. Why alienate the entire Islamic world? Is Israel
that important? Why this constant irritation about Iran?
Other than Israel, there is no cause for such hostility.
President Ahmedinejad is an elected leader, highly popular,
with a personal life style which is better than that of any
other political leader in the whole world. Ayatollah
Khamene'i has not betrayed the spiritual ideals of Imam
Khomeini.
Israel and the US are wasting their resources trying to
undermine Iran.
Mr. President, the world is passing you by. Why not update
the information you have?
This was the ancestor of Texas Governor Perry's Aga Khani
Friends
In 1887, the colonial rulers of India, the British Raj
Sarkar, provided the Aga Khan with rank and nobility. During
the latter stages of the Afghan War (in 1841 and 1842), Aga
Khan I and his cavalry officers provided assistance to
General Nott in Kandahar Province and also to General
England in his advance from Sindh to join Nott.
For these services, and others which Aga Khan I was enabled
to render to Sir Charles Napier in his conquest of Sindh in
1843-44, the Aga Khan received a pension from the British
Government of India.
He was awarded his 'princely' status by the British Raj and
its representatives in India and became the only religious
or community leader in British India granted a personal gun
salute; all other salute dynasties were either rulers of
Princely States, or Political Pensioners holding ancestral
princely titles in states abolished by the Raj. [courtesy

Islamic Women in France Using Peaceful Means to Challenge
the Assault on Islamic Dress Code by the Sarkozy regime
22 September 2011 . France imposes first niqab fines [BBC
Report]
Two French Muslim women who continue to wear the full-face
veil in defiance of a new law banning it in France have been
issued fines by a court.
Hind Ahmas and Najate Nait Ali were arrested wearing the
niqab in public outside Meaux town hall, eastern Paris, soon
after the law came in in May.
The women say they will appeal against their punishment all
the way to the European Court of Human Rights.
Meanwhile another woman said she would stand for president
in her niqab.
Thursday's sentencing in Meaux was closely followed not just
in France but right across Europe, says the BBC's Christian
Fraser in Paris.
Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands and
Switzerland all have - or are planning - similar
legislation.
Assault claims
Divorced mother Hind Ahmas, 32, a mother-of-three, was fined
120 euros (£104) by the court.
Secular France has a complicated relationship with religion.
In recent years there has been a long-running debate on how
far it is willing to go to accommodate Islam, without
undermining the long-standing tradition of separating church
and state.
The bill that was passed in April had overwhelming
cross-party support and was popular in polls across the
country.
It has proved equally popular in other nations. Those who
support the bill say the fundamental part of integrating
into Western society is showing your face.
Before the hearing she said she was hoping a fine would be
imposed, to enable her to challenge it.
"Without a condemnation I can't move forward. There has to
be this sanction with a fine so that I can take this to the
European Court of Human Rights. It's imperative that there's
a sanction," she said.
Najate Nait Ali was fined 80 euros.
They become the first of 91 women stopped by French police
to be handed a fine.
Ahmas's parents were not strict Muslims. She told the BBC
she put on the niqab for the first time six years ago as an
educated single woman.
She claims she once wore mini-skirts and liked to party
before she rediscovered her faith.
Some Muslim groups say since the ban was introduced in April
a number of women have been assaulted both verbally and
physically by members of the public.
These two women would most likely have to exhaust the
appeals process in France - which can take considerable time
- before they can hope to test the legislation in the
European court in Strasbourg, our correspondent says.
Another high-profile niqab-wearer, Kenza Drider, has said
she will stand for president in the 2012 election.
She has become a champion for several hundred women in
France who insist wearing the niqab is a personal choice and
a right enshrined by European law.
She said: "The reality is, there is a lot of unemployment in
France and a lot of problems in France so let's not focus on
what I wear, let's deal with the real problems. So my
candidacy is really being done for that. To say don't stop
at what I'm wearing, but go much deeper."
September 22: Maulana Maudoodi's Anniversary
Rational Approach to Islam: Opposition to Dictatorship and
Westernization.
Muhammad, pbuh, as Example and Leader. Islamic Pakistan's
Basic Ideas.
by Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D
"... the militaries in Muslim countries realized that the
real source of dictatorial power lay with the military. This
awareness brought military officers into the arena of
politics and they started a whole process of intrigues and
destabilization of governments and the establishment of
military regimes. These armies have become a calamity for
Muslim countries. They are not interested in fighting
external enemies or in defending their countries: they are
focused on 'conqering' their own countries and using the
weapons provided them for national defense to enslave their
own nations." [Maulana Maudoodi speaking in Arabic to a
large gathering of young men in Makka after the Hajj,
Zulhijja 16, 1382 AH, 48 years back. See Tafhimat, vol.3,
pp.358-359, published 1969.]
Syed Abul 'Ala Maudoodi, a soft spoken scholar from
Hyderabad, India, was discerned as an extraordinary thinker
by Allama Iqbal and invited to move to the Punjab. Thus a
new chapter began in the saga of the Islamic movement in
South Asia.
Much has been written about Maudoodi, both by his legion of
enemies as well as by his countless friends. One of the best
books in Urdu is by his second-in-command Mian Tufail
Muhammad titled Mushahidat: Maulana Maudoodi, Jamaate Islami
awr Pakistan [compiled by Saleem Mansur Khalid and published
in 2000, 2001 and 2003 by Idara-e-Ma'arife Islami, Mansoora,
Lahore, Pakistan].
Maudoodi lived at a time when entire generations of Muslims
were becoming secularized and westernized. Tufail Muhammad
himself was a westernized lawyer in coat, tie and hat.
Maudoodi's writings led Mian Tufail to give up the entire
context of westernized ideals and aspirations. He died
recently permeated with the virtues of Taqwa and deen.
Nowadays the idea that "Islam is a complete way of life" has
almost become a cliche and stands unchallenged. This was
Maudoodi's contribution. He put the westernizers on the
defensive and helped Muslim intellectuals become comfortable
with the idea of the SUPERIORITY of Islam over all other
ways of life. I consider the following to be his most
important contributions to the resurgence of Islam:
-
Muslims and non-Muslims are separate nations. Muslims
have the right and the obligation to self-determination and
the implementation of Islam within their communities and
nations. Peace, tolerance, compassion and coexistence are
important but they do not mean that Muslims should
assimilate into the non-Islamic ethos. Separatism based on
self-determination was the seed of Islamic Pakistan which
was sowed by Maudoodi and pre-dates the contributions of
others. Perhaps this factor attracted the attention of
Allama Iqbal.
 -
Islam has within itself the framework of Law and the
Constitutional Process as well as the methodology of
revolution which precedes the implementation of Law.
 -
Islam has its own economic and social system.
 -
Authentic Hadith is essential to Islam. The attempts of
anti-Islam forces to separate the Qur'an from the Hadith, if
successful, would be fatal for the Islamic ethos.
 -
Kingship is alien to Islam. We do not need to defend the
crimes of Muslim kings or extol their achievements as if
they are part of Islam. The title of Caliph does not
legitimize rule based on absolute power and hereditary
succession. Shoora is a form of democracy which is essential
for Islamic polity, and shoora is required in ALL aspects of
life and by ALL Muslims.
 -
Jihad is essential to Islam.

Maudoodi was repeatedly imprisoned by various Pakistani
governments. Owing to his writings against "Ahmeddis" [known
as "qadiyanis" in Pakistan] he was sentenced to death by the
secularist regime which was trying to undermine Islam. He
refused to beg for mercy and barely evaded execution as the
governmrent of the time fell.
His love for Pakistan as a putative Islamic state was so
great that he repeatedly put his own life in danger to save
Pakistan. He attempted to heal the differences between East
and West Pakistan but was thwarted by the army's actions and
by the India-backed mass murders and extreme violence.
On another occasion, the regime's gangsters tried to shoot
him down in front of a large gathering. His supporters asked
him to take shelter. His response is famous: "If I sit down,
who will remain standing."
Today one of Maudoodi's greatest students, Syed Munawar
Hasan, is leading the movement against American intervention
in Pakistan. The universities of Pakistan are full of new
generations of Muslims learning from Maudoodi's writings
that Islam is applicable in all walks of life.
I was blessed to meet him on many occasions. He used terms
of deep affection for me which a true teacher does for a
good student in our Islamic culture.
Later, I often differed with him. Sometimes, owing to my
restless questioning about kings, I upset him.
In spite of all the support he had at the end, he did not
want us to see him as the last word in Islamic scholarship
or to make a faultless saint out of him as many schools of
thought do with their leaders. He gave us the foundations
required to build the edifice of Islam in modern times and
to defeat westernization and cultural imperialism.
War News
1st Armored Division Joins Yemeni Protestors
Yemen: Huge crowds have been protesting in San'a and Taiz
from September 16 to 22. The regime of Saleh, decades old
dictator, backed by Saudi Arabia and the US, has killed more
than 80 unarmed demonstrators in 6 days. On September 21,
the Yemeni military, Saleh's Republican guard, opened mortar
fire on mourners at the funerals of previous victims. Scores
were killed.
The 1st Armored Division, led by General Ahmer, has joined
the protestors and is trading heavy weapons fire with
Saleh's troops which are well armed by the US..
Saleh himself has returned from Saudi Arabia after treatment
of his injuries. He faces rallies by the Islah party, which
has mass support and is confronting Saleh. It is seen as
Al-Qaidah's political front.
In Abyan province, bordering Aden, Government force re-took
some of Zinjibar city back from al-Qaidah. However, on
September 21, al-Qaidah mujahidin stormed the army's
intelligence headquarters in Zinjibar killing 10 officers,
wounding 13.
The Tragedy of Burhanuddin Rabbani
Afghanistan: Guerrilla warfare by the Taliban against NATO
continued in the first 20 days of September for which
reports are available. Icasualties reports 39 NATO troops
killed in 15 days. No Taliban losses. In the Herat area, an
Italian military unit clashed with the Taliban and lost 3
killed and one wounded.
Takeover of the highest security area of Kabul by the
Taliban for an entire day of heavy fighting has shaken the
Obama regime's idea that NATO might have secured some areas
for Karzai. At least 22 Karzai troops and 6 Taliban were
killed.
The assassination of former President Burhanuddin Rabbani is
seen by reporters from the area as the end of chances for a
negotiated peace. Rabbani was a much respected and pious man
who contributed greatly to the Afghan fight against the
Soviets. He was a man of peace but was seen as cooperating
with NATO to divide the Taliban. After ten years of
slaughter by western forces occupying Afghanistan, anyone
calling for talks between the Taliban and NATO or Karzai is
seen in a negative light.
The Taliban have not claimed that they killed Rabbani.
Indications are that some Taliban groups have gravitated
away from the main body led by Mullah Omar and want to stop
anyone who wants talks with Karzai.
America Demands that General Kayani Launch a New
Offensive
Pakistan: 9.23. The government is reporting new fighting
with Islamic forces in Khyber, Dir. South Waziristan and
other areas. The US is pressuring Pakistan to attack what it
calls the Haqqani network in North Waziristan. The US claims
that the attack on Kabul was by the Haqqani mujahideen
coming from North Waziristan.
The US is accusing Pakistani intelligence of links with the
Haqqani network but cannot provide evidence. The Pakistani
military is feeling humiliated in that the US not only wants
to control the military and order it around but wants to
takeover the intelligence wing known as the ISI.
Thus Pakistan's army is supposed to become not only an army
controlled and funded and armed by the US but actually to be
run as a division of US intelligence services. The Pakistani
military is at America's beck and call but feels the pinch
in USA wanting to micro-manage it.
The relations of the US and Paki militaries are very close,
FBI Director Mueller was in Islamabad a couple of days back.
Admirals, generals, Hillary Clinton, etc are recurring
visitors ordering Pakistan to do USA's will. General Kayani,
known as the Butcher of Swat, from where 500,000 people were
evicted, attends NATO meetings. His problem is that the Paki
army has suffered heavy casualties against the mujahideen.
He does not feel up to launching an offensive in North
Waziristan.
He'll probably have to.
