AMAZING SITUATION IN TURKEY'S PARLIAMENT: 
U.S. 
TROOPS PUT OFF
On March 1, Turkey's parliament voted 
250 to 264 to let U.S. troops 
come in to attack 
Iraq 
from the north. The vote 
was so close that under 
Parliamentary rules, it had to be annulled. A new 
vote will be held on March 
4.
The Turkish Prime Minister was enraged that 
the vote had not been good 
enough to let U.S. troops in.
As the Parliament deliberated, more than 
50,000 Turks demonstrated 
outside against U.S. policies.
According to U.S. reports, the number of 
Turks now opposing the U.S. war 
on Iraq has reached 94% which is probably a 
record in human history.
[One of the ironies of the situation is that 
the "Muslim" 
representatives in the Turkish parliament are 
like what we call the 
ISNA-W.D. 
types in the U.S. They were the ones SUPPORTING 
the entry of U.S. troops 
while the secular representatives were opposing 
it.]
Among other factors, the Turks also suspect 
that the U.S. might be 
planning some subversion to create a Kurdish 
state of a client type, with 
"democracy" for the Kurds.
