Let the Nation hear from Imam Jamil al-Ameen
Without his words, the media story is the Oppressor's Version
With great sorrow we see TV footage of Imam Jamil al-Amin being
arrested as a fugitive.
Most people do not understand how the media work. Sometimes it
takes years to remove the falsehoods the power structure spreads through its
media. The WACO community is still struggling to prove that 80 people did not
kill themselves along with their children. Ruby Ridge took a lot of figuring
to prove that a government sharpshooter was involved in the murders. In the
MOVE House murder by fire, the government arrested the only person who had
survived the carnage the regime had inflicted. In the case of Rodney King,
even with video footage, the officers were acquitted (before the people's
uprising brought about a new trial). In the sodomizing of Abner Louima, there
was a conviction but only after mass public unrest and protests. In the
murder of Amadou Diallo, totally innocent person, four officers have been
acquitted................
So don't be fooled by what the media are showing about Imam Jamil
al-Amin. It's the same old magicians of Pharoah getting people to see snakes.
We must use the rod of Moses to swallow up these falsehoods.
What the media are NOT showing is the CONTEXT. Without CONTEXT,
there is THE LIE OF THE MOMENT. It's like the Palestinian who resists being
thrown out of his land and is branded a terrorist.
O Believers! Do not sit quietly watching the devils on the color
screen trying to fool everyone. PROTEST, PROTEST, SPEAK OUT.
Keep calling the 404-817-687 and the 404-679-9000 numbers to make
sure the FBI do not do something to the Imam before he is brought to trial.
THE FIRST FEW DAYS ARE USUALLY CRUCIAL WHEN POLICE 'DO IN' PEOPLE IN THEIR
CUSTODY.
OUR APPEAL:
PROTEST ON FRIDAY in MOSQUES, CHURCHES, COMMUNITY HALLS, PUBLIC
SQUARES, STREET CORNERS, UNIVERSITIES.
1. Many mosques and churches are linked to the power structure,
but put pressure on the leaders so they know they can't stay away from
expression of the peoples' will.
1a. Every mosque and church should supplicate Allah/God for the
safety and health and release of Imam Jamil al-Amin.
2. ONE MAJOR DEMAND WE ALL SHOULD MAKE: The nation must HEAR
FROM IMAM JAMIL al-AMIN BEFORE HE IS BROUGHT TO TRIAL.
When the police version is constantly being put on the screen
and the radio, it is only fair that the Imam should speak to the people and
let them know what happened. We are supposed to be living in a democracy and
that's the only fair thing to do: EQUAL TIME FOR THE IMAM
Why is that important: Because trials in America are based on
public opinion. If the public is inflamed against the Imam through pre-trial
publicity, there cannot be a fair trial. Consider the following:
1. Imam Jamil al-Amin has lived peacefully in Atlanta since 1976.
2. He has a business and a flourishing community. There is no
incentive to violence here.
2a. He has fought against drugs and prostitution.
3. He is a married man: no desperado out to throw himself away.
3a. He prays and fasts, worships Allah and constantly purifies
himself. He is certainly not one who gets angry easily.
4. The police have systematically harried him. Every effort
has been made to provoke him and destroy him. The police have not forgiven
him from the time when he was H. Rap Brown.
5. They seem to have attacked him in his private property,
which is a violation of basic rights of citizenship in America.
6. They forced him to flee for his life and then arrested him
as a fugitive.
Without the words of the Imam, the whole judicial process will be a
farce. Let him speak to the masses.
If not, the people will speak to the power bigots, across America and
around the world.
