On behalf of Imam Jamil A. Al-Amin, of his family, his extended family,
his
community and his supporters, we wish to thank everyone for their
support -
all of the organizations who have urged their members and constituents
to
attend court proceedings, meetings, rallies and vigils, and to canvass
their
neighborhoods with information. All those persons and organizations who
have
used their telephones, faxes, and e-mails to further the dissemination
of
information, we thank you. We especially thank the press, not the
mainstream
conspiracy maintaining press, but the real press. The Final Call, New
Trend,
Revolutionary Worker, Workers World, The Atlanta Voice, Muslim Journal,
Muslim News, Our Newspaper and the many individuals, we thank you all
for all
of your help and we urge you all, to continue to work with us as we've
done
for the past two years.
This assault, this attack, this war will not stop. As it has not
stopped for
one day for centuries, and certainly not for the past forty years for
H. Rap
Brown now Imam Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin. For hundreds of years, Afrikans
displaced due to the wars emanating from the transatlantic slave trade
have
felt these assaults. It has not stopped for even more centuries,
thousands of
years for Muslims. The attacks, the assaults, the war will not end,
unless we
end it.
We must raise the level of our struggle. We must put a circle of
security
around our leaders. We must build a people's movement to fight for the
release of our political prisoners, our prisoners of war, our freedom
fighters. We must build a peoples' war to fight for our rights and our
future.
We ask Allah to guide us through this struggle and efforts to correct
the
wrongs exacted upon us in this society!
