Rally to Call for Imam Jamil's Release
O Oppressors "ye do worship idols which you take

On Friday, January 19, 2001 at 12 noon, a rally to call for the
freedom
of Imam Jamil al-Amin will be held in downtown Atlanta in front of the
Fulton
County Courthouse on Pryor street.

The call has been sent out by the International Committee to
Support
Imam Jamil al-Amin. It has been endorsed by a variety of organizations,
Muslim and non-Muslim (including a Committee for Mumia and another for
Leonard Peltier).
Jamaat al-Muslimeen will be represented along with the local
Majlis
Shura of mosques.
Speakers will include:
Br. Nadim Ali from the Community of Imam Jamil, West End
Atlanta
Imam William from Masjid Muminun, Atlanta
Ed Brown,Imam Jamil's brother who is a very eloquent
speaker
Dr. Kaukab Siddique, Jamaat al-Muslimeen

Sis. Ashira Na'im, Secretary-General of Jamaat
al-Muslimeen
Ed Wexell, Georgians against the Death
Penalty
The court proceedings against Imam Jamil, which begin at 9 a.m.
will be
covered by New Trend representative Sis. Hadayai Majeed.
We urge Juma' prayer imams to call for the release of Imam Jamil
al-Amin.
