Someone Help
Bush
to Understand the Muslim World
Why did he visit the Mosque and offer
Eid
Greetings? Are Muslims
supposed to be Idiots?
by Buut Shikan, Idol Breaker (expletives deleted)
The notorious American Muslim Council
(AMC)
has announced that President Bush visited a mosque, the
Islamic
Center in Washington DC. The
President has also issued an Eid greetings message in which he says
Islam is an okay religion.
Muslims wonder why Bush carries out these exercises in public
relationing. Who is the audience of these activities and what does he
hope to gain by assuring Muslims that Islam is an okay religion.?
Some of our readers think that Bush considers Muslims a bunch of idiots
and issues these periodic statements in the hope of reinforcing their
idiocity.
Others among our readers think that Bush is misinformed. He is
surrounded by
zionists
who tell him that most Muslims in
America
do not
support the struggle of Muslims overseas. Hence if he can comfort U.S.
Muslims, most U.S. Muslims will be satisfied.
Still others think that Bush actually listens to funded little
cliques
like AMC,
CAIR,
ISNA's
three "leaders," W.D. Muhammad and the Saudi embassy
and they have convinced him that America's Muslims agree with Bush that
Islamic resistance to the U.S. is terrorism. If only U.S. Muslims are
assured
that they will not lose their jobs and can pray on major holidays, they
will be quite satisfied.
My sense is that all four observations have some truth to them.
However, more important than all these is the intelligence briefing
the President receives. It appears that these briefings are based on input
from "Muslim" rulers, such as Musharref,
Mubarak,
Abdullah of Jordan,
Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. These rulers assure the President that only a
few "wahhabies" support the resistance. The Musharref idea that "jihad
means
education and controlling one's nafs" is very attractive to Washington.
If somehow the Musharref idea could be "sold" to the Muslim masses,
perhaps jihad would end and the Muslims would accept Washington's
hegemony.
These rulers who provide "intelligence" to Washington are in a way
fooling Washington. Mubarak, for instance, does not confess that without
systematic torture and 60,000 political prisoners, the Islamic wave would
sweep
Egypt.
Musharref does not let on that more than 80% of
Pakistanis
(and 74% of Kuwaitis) admire Osama bin Laden.
The Bush campaign, Eid greetings and all, is meant to be transmitted
to the Muslim world via Voice of America: We love Islam and Muslims in
America are happily working as part of a multicultural system. How
great that Bush says, Falwell is not right: actually Muhammad (pbuh) was
okay. {This
regular ritual from the White House is comparable to the statements Mufti
Babakhanov used to issue during the Soviet Union era with the claim
that Muslims in in USSR are "productive and flourishing."}
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[One writer imagines the scene in the White House after the Eid greetings
have been issued. Bush, in this speculative scenario says, "Enough of that
religious crap now. Prepare to bomb
Iraq.
Unload a few more B-52s on those f.....g
Afghans,
make sure those s.o.b. Muslim charities don't send any
dollars to those bloody widows and orphans of those f.....g
'martyrs.'
Call Sharon and tell him to demolish a few more houses in
Jenin.
Hey, did you make
sure Sharon got the extra two billions? And tell Musharref, those bloody
moohajedeen whatever are still getting into bloody Kashmir. Better,
stop them
or I'll send Bhooto (what's that woman's f.....g name?) To take over.
Send greetings to Putin: Great work in
Chechnia,
Mr. Putin, your KGB (whatever its called now) is better than our CIA.]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What does the new generation of American Muslims say about Bush's
visit to the mosque? A 19 year old sister told us: "What's wrong with these
Muslims? Why don't they tell Bush, we don't let jinns and shiateen come
into our mosques on Eid.".

DENNIS HALLIDAY: U.S. atrocities in Guantanamo Bay compare with Iraqi
atrocity stories
On December 4, 2002, Dennis Halliday was live on
Fox news
with Greta
(the "legal" expert who has had plastic surgery), when he shocked the
hostess
and probably the whole station. Greta was busy showing atrocity clips
about
Saddam issued by Tony Blair, when suddenly Halliday couldn't take the lies
any longer and said, that's the sort of thing we are doing on
Guantanamo Bay (to the
Islamic
prisoners). Greta was shocked and wanted to know what
evidence he had for his assertion. He insisted that human rights of Gtmo
prisoners were being flagrantly violated. Greta completely lost her
sense of balance as the interviewer and claimed she would not accept such
reports on
Gtmo prisoners till she could be shown actual videos of what was going
on.
Halliday was undeterred and pointed out that the European
media
does refer to the atrocities in Guantanamo Bay.
[Ed. note: From all accounts, the human rights situation in the U.S.
cages in
Guantanamo Bay is quite dismal. SIX HUNDRED MUSLIMS ARE FACING EID without
any recognition of their rights to due process of law. America has
finessed
the process of psychological torture in which no marks are left on the body
but the prisoner is broken through sleeplessness and inducement of
hopelessness.
Earlier this year, ten cases of attempted suicide were reported from
Guantanamo Bay cages. Muslims do not attempt suicide; hence observers
sense
that the torture must have brought the prisoners near death. Even on
the U.S. mainland, police often kill prisoners and then claim suicide.]

THE IDENTITY OF THE PHARAOHs OF MOSES, JOSEPH AND THE
PLACE OF ORIGIN OF ABRAHAM
by
H. Al-Dahir (New Orleans)
Quran is alway 100% accurate and another historical
event mentioned only in the Quran has been confirmed.
This historical fact was confirmed in 1912 but the
Muslim umma seems to be totally unaware of its
existence.
It is well known that the Bible (Exodus 12:37)
specifically mentions Rameses as the Pharaoh of Moses.
However, extensive research has shown that the tribes
of Jacob were not in Egypt at the time of Rameses. The
Quran clears up the matter.
There is a huge clue in the Quran as to the identity
of the Pharaoh of Moses. Sura 28:38 states: Pharaoh
said: "O chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself,
therefore, O Haman! kindle (a fire) for me to bake
clay and build for me a high building that I may mount
up to the god of Moses, but as far as I'm concerned, I
think he is a liar." and Sura 10:92 "This day shall We
save you (pharaoh) in your body, that you may be a
sign to thos who come after you. But truly, many among
mankind are heedless of our signs."
So, associated with the Pharaoh of Moses (aleyhe
salam) are a wazir named Haman, a tall building, and a
mummy. The focus is, of course, on Haman.
Haman is mentioned in the biblical book of Esther as
the wazir of the Persian King Ahasuerus. The
biblically knowledgeable often point to the Haman of
the Bible as proof that the Quran is mistaken. But
then, of course, Allah (SWT) never errs.
Haman is Arabic for Hemon (Chronicle of the Pharaohs
by Peter A. Clayton, published by Thames and Hudson
page 47) which is English for the Egyptian Hemiunu.
(Ancient Egyptian is a semitic language which means
words are written without vowel sounds. Only the
consonants in hieroglyphics "HMN" appear in the
original texts so the pronunciation "Hemiunu" is
speculative). Haman was the nephew (some say cousin),
prince, master builder, chief of works and wazir to
the 4th dynasty Pharaoh Khufu (2589-2566 BC) or Cheops
who built the Cheops pyramid. Haman's tomb was
discovered in 1912 and is located next to the great
pyramid. Haman's statue is in the Roemer und Pelizaeus
Museum, in Germany and was displayed in the US in 1996
at the "Splendors of Ancient Egypt exhibition".
It was Haman who designed and built this pyramid for
Khufu. Pyramids were built to house and preserve the
mummies of the pharaohs so the soul (ka) could return
to a body that it could recognize. Pyramids were
considered to be a stairway to an afterlife of eternal
abundance and bliss for those whose wealth could
guarantee body preservation. This is what Pharaoh
meant when he told Haman to build him a high building
so he could climb up to the God of Moses.
There is a reference to a kiln in this aya. Before,
Haman, mastabas or bench tombs were built from clay
fired bricks. Bricks were also thought to be used in
the construction of the ramps used to build the stone
pyramids. Djoser, a pharoah of the 3rd Dynasty had
employed Imhotep as his master builder. It was
Imhotep's stone structured step-pyramid that resemples
a stairway which was the tallest building in Egypt
before Haman designed Khufus pyramid. When Khufu
ordered Haman to build the tall building to see the
God of Moses, he was thinking to imitate Djoser's
famous tomb which was designed as a stairway to
heaven. Haman designed Khufus' pyramid so that it
surpassed Imhotep's in size and splendor making the
tomb the largest structure in Egypt. Haman used escape
hatches or doors in Khufu's pyramid instead of stairs.
These doors were designed as escape routes for
Pharaohs ka or soul. Haman must have thought that it
would be much easier for Pharaoh fly into heaven
through doors than to use a the laborious staircase of
the step pyramid design.
Furthermore, when the Quran mentions that pharaoh would
be preserved in his body, it is a hint that this
pharaoh was mummified and his body was in a tall
building. It was buried in the Cheops pyramid, the
tallest of the pyramids at Giza. However, the mummy
was moved later and has not been located.

According to the Quran, the Pharaoh of Moses was so
arrogant and cruel that he thought nothing of
murdering children (Q 28:4). Khufu was ruthless and
has retained that historical characterization even
today. He is noted for his expeditions into the Sinai
to conquer the Semitic people dwelling there which is
probably where he came into contact with the Hebrew
tribes. His arrogance led him to believe that he
himself was a god as is also mentioned in the Quran.
He called himself Re (sun god), was worshiped as a god
and had his own cult. Also preserved are the names of
two of the magicians that worked for Khufu; one is
Djedi and the other was just discovered. His name is
Kay.

Quran also names the Pharaoh of Moses as faraoun al
awtad or the pharaoh of the logs (Quran 89:10). Khufu,
followed his father's (the Pharoah Snefru) policy of
importing cedar logs from Lebanon. As a matter of
fact, Khufu's name is inscribed at Byblos because he
imported tons of cedar logs from Lebanon for his
building projects, especially his fleet of ships some
of which were excavated from around Cheops pyramid.
Contrary to the biblical position that the Hebrews
were enslaved to build the momuments of Rameses (Khufu
lived 1000 years before the biblically named Rameses),
the problem that the tribes of Jacob had with this
Pharoah was not his building projects. The people who
built the Cheops (Cheops is Greek for Khufu) pyramid
are buried around the pyramid and they are all
Egyptians. The pharaohs did not employ foreigners as
slave labor. Natives of Egypt did all of the building.
However, Khufu like his predecessors in the 1st, 2nd
and 3rd Dynasties had a love for beautiful jewelry and
weapons of war. The makings were in the Sinai where
the tribes were dwelling. (We know that because Moses
returned to the Sinai and married a Midianite woman.
(Q 28:22-28). If the Bible is to be believed, the
Midianites were related to the Hebrews through
Ibrahim's (as) 3rd wife, Ketura. Midian was a son of
Ibrahim and Ketura, Gen. 25:1. It appears that Khufu,
like the Pharaohs before him, forced the Hebrews and
other Semitic dwellers in the Sinai to mine turquoise
and copper. So the Hebrews were not builders, but
miners in the Sinai which is why no archaeologist can
find them in Egypt proper.
An interesting note, is that Khufu's first son,
Kewab, died of mysterious causes before he could
ascend the throne. His brother, who also died young,
ascended the throne but lasted only 8 years and his
pyramid was deliberately destroyed before it could be
completed. Khufus's 3rd son was Khafre who built the
2nd pyramid at Giza. Could it be that the first son,
Kewab, died because of the plague and the second son,
Djedfre, drowned chasing Moses into the Red Sea? Was
Djedfre's pyramid destroyed because of his disgraceful
death? Only Allah (swt) knows. None of the mummies are
available for examination.
In addition to this mountain of evidence that Khufu
was the Pharaoh of Moses, the Quran adds another fact
to the heap of proofs. According to the Quran 20:85
and 20:95-97 a person whose title was the Samiri
accompanied Moses and the Hebrews on the exodus from
Egypt. The Quran states in 20:85: "Allah said: "We
have tested your people in your absence: The Samiri
has led them astray."
Samiri is Arabic for Sumerian. The Old Kingdom of
Egypt (the 3rd to the 6th Dynasites) which lasted from
2850-2052 BC and included the 4th Pharaonic dynasty of
Khufu, was a contemporary of the Sumerian Empire
(located in the south of Iraq) which existed from 2740
BC to 2350 BC. The Sumerians were overrun by the
Akkadians whose empire was established in 2350 BC.
(Sumer briefly re-established itself but was again
conquered by the Amorites and was totally abosorbed by
the Babylonians around 1763BC). Therefore, the idea
that Rameses (1279-1213BC), a pharaoh of the 19th
Dynasty, could have been the pharaoh of Moses, is
eliminated by Allah (swt) in the Quran as the Sumerian
empire did not exist at the time of Rameses. However,
the Sumerian empire was in full bloom when Khufu was
on the throne of Egypt. Given the trade routes and the
fact that Semites and other peoples were in constant
contact with Egypt whether by migration, trade or war,
it is entirely probable that a Sumerian, looking for
safety in numbers or an opportunity for trade, would
have chosen to join the Hebrews who were headed east
through the Sinai, the direction to his home in
southern Iraq.
Now that the Pharaoh of Moses is found, it was easy to
find the Pharaoh of Joseph (Yusuf) (as). The only
Pharaoh who is associated with a 7 year famine and a
dream associated with that famine is Djoser (2630-2611
BC). He predates Khufu and is a pharaoh of the 3rd
dynasty. The famine and the dream associated with it
are recorded on the famine stele on the Island of
Sehel. The recording is attributed to Ptolemy V
(205-180 BC) who lived much later but obviously had
access to ancient Egyptian records. The legend is
Egyptianized to bring it in line with the Egyptian
religion. Khnum, the rams headed god who fashioned men
from clay, is credited for ending the famine.
However, the men that Djoser consulted are also
mentioned. One is Imhotep, who was the master builder
and designer of the step pyramid. The other is Medir,
the governor of certain territories in Upper Egypt.
The name Medir is instantly recognizable to Arabic
speakers. Medir in Arabic means administrator or
director and must refer to Yusuf whom Pharaoh
appointed as administrator of his store houses (Sura
12:55). So now we have two of the pharaohs that Allah
(SWT) mentioned in the Quran. It is Allah (SWT) that
preserved their stories and the proof of their history
in the surviving archaeology of Egypt.
At this point must be mentioned the controversy
regarding the use of the term pharaoh or faraoun for
the king that ruled Egypt at the time of Moses and the
word king or malak for the king that ruled Egypt at
the time of Joseph. The word "peraa" (Egyptian for
"great house") or pharaoh was not used by the
Egyptians to refer to their kings until Akhenaton
(1353BC) or the 18th Dynasty. The word pharaoh (Greek)
and pero (Hebrew) were used by the Greeks and Hebrews
to refer to the kings of Egypt. Allah (swt) uses the
contemporary language of 6th and 7th Century Arabia to
refer to historical figures. For instance, the name
Isa (as) is used to refer to the Prophet Jesus
(English) or Yeshua (Hebrew). Isa is a derivative of
the Greek Iesous. The gospels available at the time of
the Prophet were written in Greek so Isa or Iesous is
the name the Arabs knew for Jesus. The same is true
for the name of the Prophet Uzair which is given in
both the Hebrew (Ezra) and the Greek (Esdras)
derivatives in Arabic, i.e. Uzair and Idris.
Allah (swt) made clear that the Quran was in Arabic
(12:2, 13:37, 41:44, 42:7, and 43:30) and He does not
hesitate to use the Arabic names for people and places
that were in contemporary use at the time of the
revelation. Thus, using both malak and faraoun to
refer to the kings of Egypt was perfectly legitimate
as these were the words known to Arabic speakers at
the time the Quran was revealed.
By the way, all that remains of Khufu is a 9cm ivory
statue. Allah (SWT) has utterly destroyed him and his
other projects. The pyramid is the last monument of
this pharaoh left standing. I'm sure Allah (SWT)
preserved it until we understood the full meaning of
Sura 28:38 and the implication this Aya has for
muslims today. Needless to say, the miracle of the
Quran is again proven. None of this information was
available before the 20th Century. The statue of Haman
was preserved as testimony to the absolute truth of
the revelation in the Quran.
The Pharaoh Khufu has been dated to 2589 to 2566 BC
and the Pharaoh Djoser from 2630 to 2611 BC. These
dates facilitate the search for Ibrahim (as). It is
mentioned in the Quran 6:74 that the name of Ibrahim's
father was Azar. The Bible mentions that Ibrahim's
father's name was Terah (Gen: 11:26). Genisis 11:31
says that Terah took Ibrahim (Abram) and Ibrahim's
cousin, Lot and their wives out of Ur of the Chaldees
to go into the land of Caanan. The Bible is absolutely
incorrect on this account. The Chaldean Empire was the
last ruling dynasty of the Babylonian Empire and it
ruled from 612-539 BC. According to the Biblical
historians who use the Bible for historical events,
Abraham could not have lived before 1800 BC, so the
idea that Abraham could have come from Ur of the
Chaldees is extremely inaccurate. From the historical
evidence presented above that Joseph lived around 2600
BC, then we can deduce that Abraham, his great, great
grandfather, must have lived around 2800 BC or about
1000 years before the biblical scholars place him in
history.
The Quran again corrects Biblical history. Allah (swt)
gives evidence as to the exact date which Ibrahim
lived as well as Ibrahim's country of origin. Quran
6:74 says: "Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar:
"Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy
people in manifest error." Ibrahim's father was Azar,
a name which can be found in the ancient history of
Palestine.
Azar is Arabic for Hazor or Azor, an ancient city of
Canaan located about 5 miles West of Lake Hula in
Northern Palestine. Hazor became a very prosperous
commercial center in ancient Canaan in the Middle
Bronze Age. Hazor was first established around 3000BC
or the Early Bronze Age and ceased to exist as a
Canaanite city around 1l00 BC when it was supposedly
over-run and destroyed by the Hebrews (evidence of
this biblical event is still extremely speculative
even after archaeological excavation). Hazor, then was
Azar's place of origin, Hazor being the name that
Ibrahim's father used as a last name. Using one's
place of origin as a last name is not uncommon among
Semitic peoples. This is confirmed in the Quran by the
use of the word "Samiri" or Sumerian to designate the
person who crafted the golden calf during Moses'
absence. In modern times it is not unusual to meet
people whose last names are Baghdadi, Hadithi, Halebi
etc.-all names which designate a place of origin.
Hazor was but a small village at the time Ibrahim had
his encounter with the village elders and destroyed
their gods. Archaeologists are now excavating the
stone statues that the Hazorians of the Early Bronze
Age worshipped. So, Allah (swt) again has placed a
prophet in time and place which fits perfectly with
the time line established in the Quran. This confirms
that Ibrahim , as the Quran says, was not a Jew. He
was a Canaanite. Canaanites were the forebearers of
both the Arabs and Hebrews. The language of both
peoples is designated as of Canaanite origin.
Ibrahim left Canaan for Paran or the Arabian Peninsula
after defying the elders of Hazor. Both the Bible and
the Quran agree on this point. There is no evidence
that he was in any part of Iraq and it is highly
doubtful that he had any contact with the Egyptians
either as the Egyptians did not control Canaan until
the late Bronze age or about 1550 BC, more than a
thousand years after Ibrahim died.
In addition, Hagar, or Hajer which means one who
emigrates in Arabic, Ibrahim's wife and mother of his
first son, Ismail, could not have been an Egyptian
slave. The name Hajer is Semitic and not Egyptian. She
was a fellow Canaanite who emigrated with Ibrhaim to
Arabia. It was in Mecca that he settled his first
family and built the kaba with his son, Ismail. Where
Ibrahim wandered from there is purely speculative. It
is doubtful that he retured to Hazor to face his
persecuters. Since the Canaanites lived in what is now
Palestine, Jordan. Lebanon and Syria, he may have
settled in any other Canaanite village. It is was in
one of these areas that Isaac was born to Sarah his
elderly, but not necessarily his first, wife.
Traditionally, Islamic literature has Ibrahim as the
builder of the original house of worship in what is
now Jerusalem which may have happened since that area
was not urbanized at the time of Ibrahim. When Ibrahim
returned to Palestine is uncertain and, since Isaac
was born when he was elderly, some time must have
passed before he dared to re-enter that part of
Canaan. Perhaps, his persecutors had all died by then
or he lived a life of a herdsman, wandering from
pasture to pasture and out of reach of those who would
do him harm. Only Allah (swt) knows! But what we do
know is that Ibrahim was from Canaan, specifically,
Hazor. Again, Allah (swt) has given confirmed the
absolute accuracy of the Quran.
Time Line
Ibrahim from Hazor in Canaan-circa 2800BC
Yusuf in Egypt under the Pharaoh Djoser-crica 2630BC
Musa in Egypt under the Paraoh Khufu-circa 2590BC
