TALIBAN SLIP THROUGH

PINCER
The Pakistani army and the U.S. army carried
out a pincer movement
against the Taliban while General Musharraf was
in the U.S. The Pakistanis blocked 8
entry points from Afghanistan into Pakistan's
Mohmand Agency. They drove back
the Khuga Khel tribe of Afghans who contested one
entry point.
The U.S. carried out an impressive military
operation on the Afghan side
of the border. Unfortunately for
Bush
and
Musharraf, the Taliban neatly
slipped through the pincer. NOT EVEN ONE TALIB
was KILLED or CAPTURED. Observers
say it was a total and expensive failure.
Meanwhile, the Taliban
jihad
council,
carrying the green banners of
Islam, is carrying out its classic guerrilla
warfare all the way from Quetta to
Chitral. Near GARDEZ, the U.S. has admitted that
one of its elite Special
Forces soldier was killed and two wounded.
KARZAI's condition is pathetic. He can trust
no Afghan and is being
guarded by a PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY IMPORTED
FROM AMERICA. However, Karzai claims
that the Taliban threat is "insignificant," as
does Musharraf. Observers say,
the U.S. might have to find new
CIA
agents to
replace Musharraf and Karzai.
