Kashmir
Muslim Resistance Continues in Kashmir;
Pakistan Army Remains MIA
By Dr. Kaukab Siddique
On March 28, four policemen were killed by the Kashmiri
resistance in a forested area of Kashmir, known as Kathua.
Two mujahideen were killed as well. (Reuters, March 28,
2025). According to the local police chief, the police were
ambushed while searching for mujahideen. (Al Jazeera, March
29, 2025). The mujahideen deaths were instantly
characterized as the "elimination of two terrorists" by the
Indian Army. The terminology echoes that used by the Israeli
Occupation force in Palestine.
Over 500,000 Indian troops (some claim as many as 900,000)
occupy Kashmir. Munir Akram, permanent representative of
Pakistan's mission to the UN, characterizes it as "the
densest occupation in recent history, with one soldier for
every eight Kashmiri men, women, and children." (PassBlue,
August 3, 2023)
And Indian troops behave similarly, engaging in the most
heinous crimes against the Kashiri population. According to
Akram, this includes "extrajudicial killings of innocent
Kashmiris in fake encounters; custodial killings and
'cordon-and-search' operations; use of pellet guns to kill,
maim and blind peaceful protestors; abductions and enforced
disappearances, and 'collective punishments,' with the
destruction and burning of entire villages and urban
neighborhoods." (PassBlue, August 3, 2023)
So the Kashmiris suffer, but they continue to fight.
As in the Israeli case, the occupying force has made
concerted efforts to conceal its atrocities. According to
Akram, "Journalists, lawyers, human rights defenders, and
the entire Kashmiri political leadership are routinely
incarcerated, beaten, humiliated, harassed, and even accused
of 'terrorism' for reporting the human rights violations" in
Kashmir. (PassBlue, August 3, 2023)
The UN Security Council adopted Resolution 47 in 1948,
stating that the final status of Kashmir—whether it
should be part of Indian or Pakistan--ought to be determined
by Kashmiris through a free and impartial plebiscite. This
was followed by numerous other supporting resolutions. Both
India and Pakistan signed on to these resolutions, and are
bound by UN Charter to honor them.
However, India took over Kashmir by force. Some parts of the
territory were freed by Pathan (Pakistani) forces. That
territory is now called Azad Kashmir (Free Kashmir). The
rest of Kashmir remains occupied by the Indian Army.
India's line is that it's all "One India," and Kashmir is
part of that. But the Kashmiri people refute the claim. The
only impediment to their freedom is the presence of the
Indian army. Clashes on the frontier between Indian-occupied
Kashmir and Pakistan are quite frequent. In fact, several
wars have taken place between India and Pakistan on the
border between the two countries.
The Pakistani View
Pakistan has long viewed Kashmir as part of its territory.
One reason for this is that most Kashmiris are Muslim. Then
too, Kashmiris have frequently declared their alliance with
Pakistan, going so far as to say they want to be part of
Pakistan. A popular slogan among Kashmiris is "Pakistan,
Pakistan laykay rehayn gai azadi" ("Long live Pakistan! And
we will become part of Pakistan!") And it's a point of honor
for Pakistani troops to fight for Kashmir.
Pakistan has misdirected its forces to fighting Iran and
Afghanistan, instead of fighting India. Given the secular
nature of the Pakistani government, this might be a tactic
to impede the liberation of occupied Kashmir.
Editorial comment: Muslims of Pakistan should realize that
the real enemy is India, not the Muslims of Afghanistan or
Iran.

Has Pakistan Done Enough for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui?
By Maria Kari
Aafia's lawyer, Maria Kari, weighs in on the proceedings
ongoing in Islamabad, Pakistan.
For the first time in over a decade of writing for Pakistani
newspapers, I was denied editorial permission to publish the
following article by all of Pakistan's major
English-language newspapers. Without explanation, without
justification. The silence of the editors who I have known
and worked with for years speaks volumes. Make no mistake,
the efforts to bury my client Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's story is
deliberate. But my co-counsel, Clive, and I have always
said: we are not here to re-litigate what was done to Aafia
by the Pakistanis and Americans. We know the truth, and so
do those who had a hand in locking her away for a lifetime
(first at Bagram in Afghanistan and then in the House of
Horrors that is FMC Carswell). But, two decades later what
matters is simple: Aafia deserves to spend her remaining
years with her two surviving children and her sister, Dr.
Fowzia Siddiqui, who has spent twenty agonizing years
fighting for her sister's freedom.
Below is the article Pakistani media refused to publish. It
tells the story the Pakistani government will not let us
tell you.
We call her the Daughter of the Nation, yet today, we are
failing her in the most shameful way possible.
For decades, Aafia Siddiqui has been a stain on our
collective conscience—a Pakistani citizen who was
abducted, disappeared, and sentenced in a sham trial to 86
years in a U.S. prison, where she has been brutalized,
degraded, and forgotten.
The Pakistani government has long professed to champion her
cause, but its true colors are now showing. In the Islamabad
High Court, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) made a
stunning declaration: they have done enough for Aafia, and
[ed note: as far as the Pakistani government is concerned]
the legal battle for her freedom must end.
Enough?
Enough, when she faces daily sexual assault at FMC Carswell?
Enough, when she is denied medical care unless she strips naked?
Enough, when she is blocked from meeting with an imam even during Ramadan?
Enough, when she remains imprisoned despite clear evidence of her innocence?
Enough, even when no genuine efforts have been made to secure her repatriation?
This is not just injustice—it is abandonment. Aafia is
being cast aside, not by her captors, but by the very nation
that should be fighting for her.
The failures do not stop there. The U.S. Consulate in
Houston has refused to act on Aafia's reports of sexual
assault. Pakistani officials have ignored medical reports
detailing her suffering. Even Biden's diplomatic
snub—his refusal to respond to Prime Minister Sharif's
letter—has been meekly accepted. And now, MOFA wants
to wash its hands of Aafia entirely.
The government has had ample opportunities to act yet
insists it is powerless. One glaring example is its claim
that a prisoner swap between Aafia and Shakil Afridi is
impossible due to the lack of a formal legal framework
between the U.S. and Pakistan. Either MOFA is deliberately
misleading the court or it is woefully uninformed.
Prisoner swaps are inherently political. The U.S. has
negotiated high-profile exchanges with Russia and
Iran—nations it considers adversaries—without
formal agreements, relying instead on diplomacy. Pakistan, a
key U.S. ally with deep security and intelligence
cooperation, has far greater leverage. The truth is not that
a swap is impossible, but that MOFA refuses to even try.
The betrayal runs deeper still.
Last year, our legal team filed a lawsuit exposing the
constitutional violations Aafia has suffered for decades.
The Pakistani government has not filed a single document in
support. It has failed to pressure the Bureau of Prisons
(BOP) to meet its most basic obligations. Even something as
simple as obtaining Aafia's inmate account—critical
for proving her indigency and reducing legal costs—has
turned into a legal battle, with Pakistan nowhere to be
found.
As the BOP pushes to dismiss our case, urgent action is
needed. Yet, despite multiple requests, Pakistan has refused
to file an amicus brief in support of her fight against
sexual assault, medical neglect, and religious suppression.
Pakistan's obligation to provide legal assistance to its
citizens is enshrined under the Vienna Conventions and the
Diplomatic and Consular Act of 1972, yet it continues to
neglect its legal duties.
The hypocrisy is glaring.
How can the Islamic Republic of Pakistan ignore that Aafia
has been denied access to an imam for over a year? How can
it stand by as she endures another Ramadan in isolation,
unable to fully practice her faith?
Pakistan rightly advocates for the rights of Muslims in
Kashmir and Palestine—so why does it remain silent
when its own citizen is denied the most basic religious
freedoms in an American prison?
The evidence of Aafia's innocence continues to mount. Yet,
she has spent over 5,000 days in prison for crimes she did
not commit.
Pakistan must decide: Will it fight for its daughter, or
will it abandon her to die in silence?
Mass March Demands "Stop the Genocide" While DC Lawmakers
Prepare for Visit by Indicted War Criminal Netanyahu
By Nadrat Siddique
On April 5, thousands of people wearing kaffiyahs, carrying
Palestinian flags, drums, pro-Palestine banners assembled in
the vicinity of DC's Smithsonian museums. They came from
many different states and the District of Columbia to demand
a stop to the genocide, and an arms embargo against Israel.
The protestors placed long lines of children's shoes along
the National Mall, symbolizing the 17,400 children murdered
by Israel since October 7, 2023.
One contingent of the march carried portraits of journalists
killed by Israel. Israel has murdered at least 173
journalists since October 7, more than in any other
conflict.
The Palestine Youth Movement, the Palestinian Feminist
Collective, and Code Pink were just a few of the organizers
of the march, as support for Palestine in the DC area has
blossomed, and a very large and diverse coalition which has
emerged in response to Israel's genocide of the
Palestinians. Many of the organizers are women. Attendees at
this protest, as well as at earlier protests said that prior
to October 7, they were never aware of the extent of
Israel's crimes, had never attended a protest, or were "not
really activists."
Among the speakers was Imam Omar Suleiman. The Texas-based
imam sported a kaffiyah and spoke unflinchingly. "For every
single Palestinian that you kill, a thousand will rise up.
For every single voice that you seek to silence, a million
will speak in their place," he said to the sea of
kaffiyahs.
The imam, who has been a vocal supporter of Dr. Aafia
Siddiqui in recent years, asked the crowd: "Will you be
silenced?"
"No!" came the roar.
"Will you be intimidated by these halls of power?" he
asked.
"No!" the crowd shouted.
"We refuse to buckle in fear to these halls of power,
because we answer to a higher power and we've seen pharaohs
fall before," Suleiman continued.
Turkish-American social media influencer Hasan Piker, a
vocal supporter of a free Palestine, also spoke. "None of us
are free until all of us are free! Free Mahmoud, free
Rumeysa, free all the political prisoners! From the River to
the Sea, Palestine will be free!"
From the National Mall area, the marchers proceeded to ICE
headquarters to say "Hands off our students," a reference to
the many pro-Palestine activists being doxed, harassed, or
deported merely for speaking out against the genocide and
for human rights.
From there, the crowd proceeded to the White House with the
demand: "Stop supporting Israel, stop sending bombs to kill
children." Spirits were high, as chants of "From the River
to the Sea Palestine will be free!" and "From the Sea to the
River, Palestine will live forever!" rung out. "Falastine
harra!" and "Falastine Arabiyya!" reverberated across the
District.
While the people took to the streets to tell the truth about
the genocide, DC law makers prepared for a visit by indicted
war criminal Benjamen Netanyahu. He is expected to come
begging Washington to preferentially decrease tariffs on
Israel. May tariffs on Israel increase, and may Allah's
lanaat be on him and all other Israeli war criminals.
How Egomaniac Leaders Call to End Civilized Mankind?
By Mahboob A. Khawaja, PhD.
Do Leaders Live in Hell or with Normal Masses?
We, the People of human conscience, appear incapable or
unprepared not to imagine peace and global order as the
cornerstone of logic and perceived wisdom to resolve the
emerging crises in Gaza -Palestine and Ukraine. The hell of
powerful intransigence and planned violations of civilized
behavior comes from few leaders maintaining global nerves of
pride and power as if the rest of mankind happens to be just
digits and numbers and nothing else.
They claim and preach political anarchy of barbarism and
violence against the helpless and most vulnerable people to
disorder and insecurity across Gaza and Ukraine. They were
not elected to raise hell to others but threaten mankind all
the time as if it is the only asset they own. President
Trump and PM Netanyahu sound like mindless anarchists to
ignore the voices of reason to fracture the soul of innocent
people already subjected to genocide and crimes against
humanity. Is it the new world order to dehumanize the
citizens of the globe for a charcoaled world of tomorrow? Is
it not the evil mongering and futility of our time and the
21st century of knowledge and harmony to threaten with
bombing and massacres if their lies are not followed for a
new unilateral world order? Do the masses in the US and
Israel know their leaders could lead them to hell of human
pains and horrors if not forced to make a navigational
change? They prey on people who elected them whereas the
people seem to pray for them to end their fallicity of
endeavors.
Formative history warns of distress calls made by Hitler,
Mussolini, George W Bush, Tony Blair and so many others for
peace, not war but they did just the opposite to human
expectations and obsessed claims. We, the People know in
every age, powerful elite prey with cruelty and tyranny upon
fellow human beings - you just need to see the pictures of
bombed human bodies, wounded civilians, destroyed public
institutions, cemeteries and tormented women and children on
screen in Gaza and Ukraine. The voices of truth and
universal consent ask for reason, morality and honesty to be
the values of our endeavors to resolving the conflicts and
ushering a stable system of peace-making and a new global
order away from the superpower's accessibility. Be it
President Trump, President Putin or Netanyahu do not sound
like normal human beings when threatening to undermine the
very existence of civilized humanity. Leaders who make such
hollow and hasty warnings appear closer to their end rather
than beginning. Those having faith in military solutions,
act like wild animals. Israeli masses are against Netanyahu
policies and practices and want peace, ceasefire and return
of hostages. According to the editor of +972 Israeli
Magazine, at least 50% of the IDF do not wish to return to
fighting in Gaza. The Haaretz newspaper disclosed that half
a million Israelis have left the country since October
2023.
PM Netanyahu and Trump rebuke reasoned covenants and
dialogue for peace and are fast becoming a role model of
incensed tyranny and professed violence against innocent
people populating the earth. They allude to peaceful means
to resolve the wars but act like egomaniac dictators above
common sense and civilized codes of thoughts and behaviors.
If you want to nuke Iran and forcibly displace 2.5 million
people of Gaza for ethnic cleansing, would you be able to
breathe oxygen as normal beings without any reaction and
challenge from the global community? They make agreements
and then discard its implementation. Is it not the time and
necessity for Arab-Muslim leaders and President Zelensky to
learn something useful from their own enemies to change the
course of future-making? If so, it is an urge of necessity
to Arab-Muslim masses and people of Ukraine to understand
the encompassing reality of emerging trends of catastrophic
ends for all. Let us call a gathering of global leaders,
invite Trump and Netanyahu and open it with first come first
- Two States Palestine and Israel solution and peace in
Ukraine, take it or leave it and then a peace treaty on
nuclear deal and normalization. One would need intellect and
ingenuity of leadership to do so, Arab-Muslim leaders and
Zelensky look more lost than being deliverers.
The US-Israel Alliance Plans to Occupy Gaza and Arab-Muslim
Leaders are Just Puppets and Paper Boys
A snapshot of time and history of the Arab-Muslim leaders
claiming to be mediators for peace and ceasefire are
pretenders and liars, nothing more than rubber stamps
without mind, wisdom and courage to challenge Israel for its
planned onslaught of Palestinian masses. They have business
and diplomatic ties and profess friendship with Netanyahu
against Israeli animosities. The Egyptians, Qataris, Saudis
and others carry no values in global context and appear
morally, intellectually and politically bankrupt as a scum
floating on a torrent of naive puppets and discredited
leaders. The American-Israeli collaborative war on Gaza and
its immediate consequences made the Western world and all of
its institutions shamefully redundant and void in the
21stcentury global norms of civility, human rights, freedom,
justice and safety of civilians- whereas crimes against
humanity are captured in obscure impulses and indecision and
deliberate inaction by the UN Security Council. If Israel is
not stopped for a "Greater Israel" plan, soon the leading
oil exporting Arab states could fly Israeli-American flags
for a change. Please see more: "Israel Lost the War and
America Betrayed Humanity in Gaza." ,

Would the Global Community Hold America and Israel
Accountable for Crimes against Earth and Humanity?
The Earth is not a property of the US or Israel but a Divine
hub of human Life, Survival and a Trust, Those Bombing and
Destroying it are mentally sick and defy the Divine Truth.
It looks as if the US and Israeli leaders do not believe in
life and death and accountability to God -The Creator of
Universe. Propelled by irresistible and irrational
statements by Trump, Israel under Netanyahu has so far
dropped more than 90,000 ton of bombs on Gaza- more insane
than what happened at Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World
War 2. Perhaps, the Israeli and American leaders do not
believe in life and death and accountability to God for
their actions. The Torah and Bible fully reflect on this
core human responsibility and punishment to those who
violate the Divine Covenants: And killing of innocent people
is prohibited in the Ten Commandments (Torah): "Thou shalt
not kill" (Exodus. 20:13; also Deut. 5:17). Is human
intelligence still intact to understand this reality?
Wherever there is a trust, there is accountability. All
human beings are accountable for their actions. The Divine
warning (The Quran:7:56), warns: Do no mischief on the Earth
after it hath been set in order, but call on God with fear
and longing in hearts; For the Mercy of God is always near
to those who do good. "The Last Chapter of the Genocide",
Chris Hedges Report of March 22, 2025, narrates the
prevalent facts:
ChrisHedges.substack.com/p/the-last-chapter-of-the-genocide
This is the last chapter of the genocide. It is the final,
blood-soaked push to drive the Palestinians from Gaza. No
food. No medicine. No shelter. No clean water. No
electricity. Israel is swiftly turning Gaza into a Dantesque
cauldron of human misery where Palestinians are being killed
in their hundreds and soon, again, in their thousands and
tens of thousands, or they will be forced out never to
return. The Trump White House cheers on the slaughter along
with Democratic Party leaders such as Senate Minority Leader
Chuck Schumer. They attack critics of the genocide as
"antisemites" who should be silenced, criminalized or
deported while funneling billions of dollars in weapons to
Israel. Israel has begun the final stage of its genocide.
The Palestinians will be forced to choose between death or
deportation. There are no other options. Israel's message is
unequivocal: Gaza will be uninhabitable. Leave or die. Since
Tuesday, when Israel broke the ceasefire with heavy bombing,
over 700 Palestinians have been killed, including 200
children. In one 24-hour period, 400 Palestinians were
killed. This is only the start. No Western power, including
the United States, which provides the weapons for the
genocide, intends to stop it. The images from Gaza during
the nearly sixteen months of incessant attacks were awful.
But what is coming now will be worse. It will rival the most
atrocious war crimes of the twentieth century, including the
mass starvation, wholesale slaughter and leveling of the
Warsaw Ghetto in 1943 by the Nazis.

New York Mayor Adams Changes Parties
By Sis. 'Aisha Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York City
As expected, Mayor Eric Adams is running for Mayor as a
Democrat but on the Independent political party ticket.
Although he says he is still a Democrat, the hostility he's
received from fellow party members forced him to run under a
different party. This is a strategic political move.
A judge only recently dismissed all of the federal
corruption charges against Mayor Adams, which had left him
limited time to prepare for the June 2025 Democratic Mayoral
Primary. Running as an independent allows him to skip the
primary and focus on the November 2025 election.
NYU Salat Area Vandalized
Video images showed prayer mats thrown about the room, urine
splattered on the floor, and graffiti on the walls of the
NYU Islamic Center at the Elmer Bobst Library on Thursday,
April 3rd. New York Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney
General Letitia James offered their condolences.
Faiyaz Jaffer, the Associate Muslim Chaplin, said that more
than words of support are needed in this case. He said that
taking action and speaking out against the Trump
Administration's hateful rhetoric would be more potent.
NYU is investigating and has issued a statement saying that
the perpetrator(s) "will be subjected to the most serious
sanctions available" by the university. The NYPD Hate Crimes
Task Force is also investigating.
