To Trump, a De-Fanged Palestine is the Only Acceptable
Palestine
By Dr. Kaukab Siddique
Trump has declared that if the Palestinians don't stop
fighting back, "there will be hell to pay."
What can he do, which the Zionists have not already done?
They bombed mosques, waterways, roads, buildings, and much
else. Will Trump outdo this? We pray that will not be the
case.
The Upcoming Travel Ban: Allah Versus Trump
By Dr. Kaukab Siddique
Immediately after coming into office, Trump enacted an
executive order intended to lead to a Muslim ban. He
obviously sees Muslims as hostile. He has even deported
Indians back to India in shackles. (Did he perhaps think,
mistakenly, that they were Muslims?)
The executive order claims it will protect U.S. citizens
from "aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks,
threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or
otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent
purposes."
According to the Nation, it "doesn't name any country or
even dictate specific policy.. Instead, it directs four
cabinet secretaries to begin a rolling 60-day collaborative
multi-agency review process. The process is intended to end
on March 21 with the publication of a list of countries that
are supposedly not in compliance with information-sharing
standards about immigrants and will thus be subject to
restrictions on the ability of their citizens to enter the
United States." (The Nation, February 24, 2025)
Whatever Trump intends, there are certain to be legal
challenges from many different quarters.
There are two billion Muslims worldwide, and they/we love
anybody who is not bigoted. Islam, in its essence, teaches
brotherhood and sisterhood of humanity, supporting the
oppressed, and effectively, a world without borders. And
there is the minor detail that "Allah is the Best of
Planners." Inshallah Trump can't win, and won't win.
Arab League Proposal for Gaza: An Exercise in Hypocrisy
On March 4, the Arab League met in Cairo to ratify a plan
offered as an alternative to Trump's plan for Gaza. The plan
was initiated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi,
known for his brutal treatment of Muslims. On March 7, the
57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation adapted the
plan at an emergency meeting in Jeddah.
Part of the plan is that Hamas would be removed as the
governing authority in Gaza, and be replaced by the
Palestine Authority (PA) of Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas would then
be disarmed. But senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri
rejected Israeli and U.S. calls for the group to disarm,
saying its right to resist was not negotiable. (CBC, March
4, 2025)
The plan calls for international peacekeeping troops to be
dispatched in Gaza through a UN Security Council resolution.
In the interim, Egypt and Jordan would train Palestinian
Authority police officers so that they can then be
dispatched to Gaza to uphold law and order.
Times of Israel, March 8, 2025) This is troubling because both of
these governments are known for their detention and torture
of Muslim activists.
To the Arab governments launching the current initiative, we
ask this question: On what Islamic basis do they claim they
can help Gaza—when they totally stayed away from
helping the Palestinian people during the fighting?
Comic Opera: Trump and Zelensky Go at It on National Television
By New Trend Staff
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President
Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance in the Oval Office of
the White House on February 28. He probably wished he
hadn't, because Trump and Vance rubbed his nose in the dirt
repeatedly. Between them, they repeatedly reprimanded the
Ukrainian president, as if he was an ornery child, for not
saying "thank you" to the US for its aid and support. At one
point, Trump cut Zelensky off in mid-sentence, telling the
latter he'd done a lot of talking! Vice President J.D. Vance
told Zelensky he'd disrespected the US, and later told him
to leave. And Trump told Zelensky he was "gambling with
World War III," a reference to the fact that Zelensky had
showed a lack of willingness to sign a peace deal. Further,
Trump showed his business side, telling Zelensky had to
"make a deal or we're out," to which he added, "You don't
have the cards."
Zelensky appeared at the Oval Office meeting dressed in a
casual black military-style shirt. He used to be a comedian,
before he somehow attained the office of president of
Ukraine. (In the 2019 election which brought him to office,
there were 39 candidates. As none of them got a majority
vote, the top two vote-getters, incumbent Petro Poroshenko
and Zelensky, were brought up for a runoff vote. Evidently,
Zelensky won this second round.) As Zelensky sat through his
ordeal at the Oval Office, he made faces indicating his
disgust and disagreement with Trump and Vance, crossing his
arms across his chest much of the time.
Zelensky is a Ukrainian Jew. His wife, Olena Zelenska, is a
screen writer by profession. Zelenska was welcomed by the
Bidens and Vice President Kamala Harris during a 2022 visit
to the US. She was also warmly received by US Secretary of
State Anthony Blinken (dubbed "Bloody Blinken" by
pro-Palestine activists for his role in the killing of
Gaza's children). She addressed the US Congress, calling for
more military aid for Ukraine. It's hard to imagine any
women from the Palestinian resistance receiving such a
welcome, either under Biden or Trump.
Zelensky himself has a net worth of $30 million. The
Ukrainian masses are suffering under the hands of the
Russian army, while their leader lives a luxurious life
style and is totally wasteful about his living style and his
character.
According to Trump, the war should never have started.
According to the Congressional record, the US has given $175
billion to Ukraine, making Ukraine the only European country
to be the top recipient of US aid.
After the meeting, the US paused military aid to Ukraine and
to stop sharing intelligence. (BBC, March 6, 2025). Trump
has openly stated he expects Ukraine to share mineral
resources with the US in exchange for US aid.
Butt-Kissing at Its Best?
His nose rubbed in the dirt in the Oval Office meeting,
Zelensky still expressed willingness a few days later to
work under Trump's "strong leadership."
Ukraine has significant deposits of graphite, titanium, and
lithium. Originally, Zelensky was to sign a minerals deal
with the US during the Washington, DC meeting. With the
meeting resulting in a shouting match, that did not
materialize. But, on March 6, Zelensky said Ukraine was
ready to sign on to that deal. (BBC, March 6, 2025). In a
post on the social media platform X, he also went out of his
way to offer gratitude to the US for the help it has given
his country.
By comparison, the Islamic leaders of Gaza live in poverty
among their people, and are fighting back against the
superior military power of the US and Israel. And they have
dignity, refusing to leave Gaza, despite Trump's threats to
annex it, and turn it into the "Riviera of the Middle East."
One would hope that Trump, if he truly believes in "America
First," will cut off all aid to Israel.
Historical perspective: As World War II progressed, the
people of Ukraine supported the Germans. In other words,
they supported Hitler. In its support for Germany, Ukraine
killed thousands of Jews. The other reason for this was that
Jews had been mistreating and killing the Ukrainians before
the war. The Russians supported Ukraine in this. (In fact,
Russia also killed vast numbers of Jews during the World
War.) Now suddenly a Jew is the head of Ukraine! One wonders
how this came about.
The Ramadan Survival Package
By Dr. Asma
Three simple yet impactful changes to make......
I remind myself first and then each of you my friends and
family:
There are only three lifesaving instructions in your Ramadan
package. If you can use them, you will be happy in this
world, make others happy, and this will also keep you away
from the Eternal Fire!
Don't Lie! as it is a major sin and is guaranteed the Fire!
No white lies, small lies, or big lies.
Don't Backbite! Because that is a sure shot landing in the
Fire, plus the curse from all the people you backbite.
Don't hurt people by putting them down which is a sign of
Arrogance. We know that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, and I
paraphrase, "No one with even an iota of Arrogance will
enter Jannah.
May Allah give you and me the Himmah to change these habits
in 30 days inshallah!
Homelessness Myths
By Sis. 'Aisha Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York City
Ed Latimore is a retired professional boxer who details some
of his experiences working as a security guard at a men's
homeless shelter in Pittsburgh, PA. He claims there are
things that we are all taught about homelessness that are
myths.
Myth #1:
Most homeless men are former military veterans or
mental health patients. Latimore mostly encountered
ex-convicts who served their time (5-10 years) but had no
family or friends they could depend on for help. The justice
system does not operate to prevent recidivism, which is the
word attributed to repeat criminal offenders. You see them
with a huge plastic bag filled with their belongings,
applying for public assistance. Unless they start their own
business, they are at the mercy of a merciless job market.
Myth #2:
Prisoners can learn while in prison. This is true,
but the success rate is very low. Latimore wants the viewer
to imagine what it would be like to take advantage of
educational opportunities in a place where hardcore
criminals of all kinds surround you. Even if you are in a
low-security prison, that does not mean that the prisoners
there have not committed heinous crimes. They are only in
jail for that particular minor offense!
Myth #3:
Applications now make it easier for ex-convicts to
apply. If they apply, that does not mean they will be hired!
Lack of employment contributes to homelessness because if
you don't have a job to bring in a steady income, which is
needed to pay rent for an apartment, then you have no choice
but to stay at the shelter.
There have been ex-convicts who have avoided becoming a
recidivist statistic, but that's because they are given an
opportunity by a benevolent soul or they generate income
from the gig economy. They may generate enough revenue to
expand their gig into a full-fledged business.
But that is the exception and not the rule. Most homeless
men are doomed to be homeless unless they seek help outside
of this corrupt system.

"If You Eat or Drink Forgetfully While Fasting...??
The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said...
"Whoever forgets that he is fasting and eats or drinks,
then he still completes his fast.
It is only Allah who fed him and gave him drink."
