On October 31, six pages relating to Jamaat al-Muslimeen's National Shoora were given to 100 Mjuslims after Juma salat at a mosque in White Marsh, Maryland. Most of the people were Arab Americans followed by Ind-Pakistanis.

The Obama administration is quietly releasing more than $1.6 billion in frozen military and financial assistance to Pakistan, ahead of the prime minister's visit to the White House this week. The Associated Press reported on Saturday that Congress has given the green light to dispersing most of the money, which should start moving in early 2014. On Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet with President Obama and Vice President Biden at the White House. Obama will try to convince Pakistani leaders to play a supportive role in neighboring Afghanistan once American troops begin to pull out of the country after 2014

BEIJING, Oct 29 (Reuters) - The Chinese government suspects that Monday's incident in which a vehicle plowed into pedestrians in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, killing five including the three people in the vehicle, was a suicide attack, sources told Reuters.

At least 38 people were injured in the incident, but there has been no official word whether it was an accident or an attack.

"It looks like a premeditated suicide attack," a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity to avoid repercussions for talking to the foreign media.

While police are still investigating and have yet to determine the identities of the three people in the vehicle, according to the sources, Beijing police said late on Monday they were looking for two suspects from the restive far western region of Xinjiang in connection with a "major incident". Assad treating ENTIRE Sunni population as ENEMY+Russian troops killed helping Assad.

Syria: October 30-November 3: Assad is carrying out an offensive from the air against civilian populations in all areas across the country which are under Islamic control. The mujahideen do not have weapons to shoot down jet fighters and fighter bombers.

Mujahideen have captured Beit Jinn, a village near the Israeli occupied border. Assad's forces immediately started long range shelling of the population. The population has been fleeing to the Lebanese town of Shebaa but refugees have the cross the rugged Hermon mountain area and as they flee they are taregeted by Assad's forces. The Israelis laugh at them as they see Assad's forces killing the fleeing civilians. The Lebanese town of Shebaa has become a refugee town.

Meanwhile, mujahideen killed and wounded some Russian troops in one of Assad's attempts to take back a Muslim town. The clash brought out the presence of Russian forces in Syria. The Russians justify their presence by saying that Islamics from central Asia [once part of Communist empire] have joined the mujahideen.

Assad's air force is hitting food transports. As a result, more than 50 people, including children, have died of starvation. [See report from Jordan below. Scroll to end. ]

Pakistan being pushed into more war as US assassinates Hekeemullah Mehsud.
Nawaz Sharif and General Kayani-ISI are two wings of US Control of the Pakis.

On October 31, a US predator drone fired two missiles at Islamic fighters coming out of a village mosque in North Waziristan. The attack killed the top leader of the Pakistani Taliban, Hakeemullah Mehsud, two of his commanders and two of his bodyguards.

The US saw Mehsud as a dangerous enemy who had himself photograped with the Jordanian martyrdom operator who killed 7 top CIA officers in Khost, Afghanistan. US put a $5 million trophy on Mehsud's head.

Pakistani government has expressed its dismay at the US attack just when peace talks were to resume with the Pak Taliban. In a similar attack in May, Waliur Rahman, Mehsud's second in command had been killed. Small but angry rallies have been held against the murder. Imran Khan, whose party, Insaf, rules Frontier province has promised to block NATO supplies in response to the attack.. Jamaate Islami said it would support such a move.

On November 1, in a quick response to the US attack, the Pak Taliban elected a new leader, Khan Saeed Sajna, although the Pak Taliban's Shoora is spread across 30 areas of the rugged tribal region. Of 60 delegates, 47 voted for Sajna.. With such superb discipline, the chances for reprisals by the Pak Talibzan are high.

New Trend's analysis of Mehsud's murder is that the US does not understand the Mehsud people in particular and the Islamic Pathans in general. These are deeply Islamic people who think killings by the US infidels guarantees paradise for those killed in such attacks. There is a long line up of young fighters ready to be leaders, so killing Hakeem will not change anything. It will only make the Mehsuds angrier than ever. Their weakness is that they do not take cover and do not realize that the US has the technology to kill them from a great distance. The Pakistani military is working closely with the US and successful drone attacks cannot take place without Pakistani intelligence on the ground. General Kayani's men are mentally made in America, armed, funded and brain washed by the US. The US is sly enough to have a two pronged policy: political leaders of Nawaz Sharif's ruling party condemn the drone attacks to deflect public anger while the military generals continue their treacherous alliance with the US.

How the Qur'an was Transmitted. Every verse was connected to Hadith.
Answering the Fitna of Rejection of Hadith.

The following is a segment of the Juma Khutba given by Dr. Kaukab Siddique in Baltimore on October 25:
  1. The Book called the Qur'an was with Allah and was revealed to Muhammad, pbuh, over a period of 23 years.

  2. Each time it was revealed, it was a WAHI or revelation on his heart and soul, NEVER IN WRITING.

  3. He would be helped by the Angel to memorize it. Then he would recite it to one of few Companions who could write and the sahabi would write. The Prophet, pbuh, himself could NEITHER READ nor WRITE.

  4. When the Prophet, pbuh, would tell a Companion what had been revealed and ask him to write, that was Hadithe Muhsammad, pbuh. Thus EVERY VERSE in the Qur'an was transmitted by hadith.

  5. In Madina, the Prophet, pbuh, instituted writing as a skill among the converts to Islam. Thus as longer and longer suras were revealed, there were more and more katibs [scribes] to write them down.

  6. The Book was with Allah and was gradually revealed VERBALLY, not in writing, to the Prophet, pbuh. This should be clear to all.

  7. Thus when the world IQRA is translated as read or recite, it meant that Allah was going to educate the Prophet, pbuh, to be able to recite the Book coming down [nazil] from heaven.

  8. When the Qur'an says, "Book", it is not implying that the whole book had been revealed right away. The whole Book was with Allah.

  9. As time went on, the Prophet, pbuh, through Allah's Guidance told the sahaba [his Companions] which Sura to place where. Thus the first revelation, Alaq or Iqra became sura 96.

  10. Again all this arrangement of the Qur'an was through Hadith, the Prophet's directions to the sahaba,

  11. Sometimes, a few words were placed by the Prophet, pbuh, within an entire sura which had already been revealed. Again, this is Hadith in action. The Qur'an thus is UNTHINKABLE without hadith. There is no Islam without Muhammad, pbuh.

The Qur'an uses the term RECITE in various forms, such as YATLU, TATLU, ATLU, YATALA. The role of the Prophet's, pbuh, hadith, is best defined thus in Sura 2 verse 151:

"Allah has conferred a great favor on the believers, sending among them a messenger from among themselves, who RECITES [YATLU] unto them the Signs of Allah, and purifies them and INSTRUCTS them in the Book and Wisdom."

The whole process was verbal, not in writing:

"Do not move your tongue concerning the Qur'an to make haste therewith. It is for US to collect it [in your heart], so you may recite it [quranu'hu], and when We have recited it, follow its recital [quranuhu] Nay, more, it is for US to expound it [through your tongue." [75:16-19]

So, dear Muslims, the Prophet, pbuh, was not carrying a written Book around with him. It was all verbal and became WRITING when the Sahaba, r.a., wrote it down and memorized it.

So, bless the Sahaba, r.a., after you bless the prophet, pbuh, among them the great compiler of the entire revelation, Usman r.a., ibn Affan.

Thus those who say "Qur'an only" or that hadith was produced in the 3rd century are playing into the hands of the Zionists and the Rand Corporation.

EVERY WORD of the Qur'an was transmitted through hadith.

I conclude with this beautiful Hadith:

Fatima Zahra, r.a., narrates: "The Prophet informed me secretly, 'Jibril used to recite the Qur'an to me and I to him once a year, but this year he has recited the entire Qur'an with me twice. I do not think but that my death is approaching.' " [Sahih Bukhari, Fadail al-Qur'an.]

What is 'Holocaust Denial'?

In recent years, considerable attention has been devoted to the supposed danger of "Holocaust denial." Politicians, newspapers and television warn about the growing influence of those who reject the Holocaust story that some six million European Jews were systematically exterminated during the Second World War, most of them in gas chambers.

In several countries, including Israel, France, Germany and Austria, "Holocaust denial" is against the law, and "deniers" have been punished with stiff fines and prison sentences. Some Jewish community leaders have called for similar measures in North America. In Canada, David Matas, Senior Counsel for the "League for Human Rights" of the Zionist B'nai B'rith organization, says: [1]

"The Holocaust was the murder of six million Jews, including two million children. Holocaust denial is a second murder of those same six million. First their lives were extinguished; then their deaths. A person who denies the Holocaust becomes part of the crime of the Holocaust itself."

Often overlooked in this controversy is the crucial question: Just what constitutes "Holocaust denial"?

Six Million?

Should someone be considered a "Holocaust denier" because he does not believe - as Matas and many others insist - that six million Jews were killed during World War II? This figure was cited by the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg in 1945-1946. It found that "the policy pursued [by the German government] resulted in the killing of six million Jews, of which four million were killed in the extermination institutions." [2]

Yet if that is so, then several of the most prominent Holocaust historians could be regarded as "deniers." Professor Raul Hilberg, author of the standard reference work, The Destruction of the European Jews, does not accept that six million Jews died. He puts the total of deaths (from all causes) at 5.1 million. Gerald Reitlinger, author of The Final Solution, likewise did not accept the six million figure. He estimated the figure of Jewish wartime dead might be as high as 4.6 million, but admitted that this was conjectural due to a lack of reliable information.

Human Soap?

Is someone a "Holocaust denier" if he says that the Nazis did not make soap from the corpses of murdered Jews? After considering the evidence - including an actual bar of soap supplied by the Soviets - the Nuremberg Tribunal declared in its Judgment that "in some instances attempts were made to utilize the fat from the bodies of the victims in the commercial manufacture of soap." [3]

In 1990, though, Israel's official Yad Vashem Holocaust center "rewrote history" by admitting that the soap story was not true. "Historians have concluded that soap was not made from human fat. When so many people deny the Holocaust ever happened, why give them something to use against the truth?," said Yad Vashem official Shmuel Krakowski. [4]

Wannsee Conference?

Is someone a "Holocaust denier" if he does not accept that the January 1942 "Wannsee conference" of German bureaucrats was held to set or coordinate a program of systematic mass murder of Europe's Jews? If so, Israeli Holocaust historian Yehuda Bauer must be wrong - and a "Holocaust denier" - because he declared: "The public still repeats, time after time, the silly story that at Wannsee the extermination of the Jews was arrived at." In Bauer's opinion, Wannsee was a meeting but "hardly a conference" and "little of what was said there was executed in detail." [5]

Extermination Policy?

Is someone a "Holocaust denier" if he says that there was no order by Hitler to exterminate Europe's Jews? There was a time when the answer would have been yes. Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg, for example, wrote in the 1961 edition of his study, The Destruction of the European Jews, that there were two Hitler orders for the destruction of Europe's Jews: the first given in the spring of 1941, and the second shortly thereafter. But Hilberg removed mention of any such order from the revised, three-volume edition of his book published in 1985. [6] As Holocaust historian Christopher Browning has noted: [7]

"In the new edition, all references in the text to a Hitler decision or Hitler order for the 'Final Solution' have been systematically excised. Buried at the bottom of a single footnote stands the solitary reference: 'Chronology and circumstances point to a Hitler decision before the summer ended.' In the new edition, decisions were not made and orders were not given."

A lack of hard evidence for an extermination order by Hitler has contributed to a controversy that divides Holocaust historians into "intentionalists" and "functionalists." The former contend that there was a premeditated extermination policy ordered by Hitler, while the latter hold that Germany's wartime "final solution" Jewish policy evolved at lower levels in response to circumstances. But the crucial point here is this: notwithstanding the capture of literally tons of German documents after the war, no one can point to documentary evidence of a wartime extermination order, plan or program. This was admitted by Professor Hilberg during his testimony in the 1985 trial in Toronto of German-Canadian publisher Ernst Zündel. [8]

Auschwitz

So just what constitutes "Holocaust denial"? Surely a claim that most Auschwitz inmates died from disease and not systematic extermination in gas chambers would be "denial." But perhaps not. Jewish historian Arno J. Mayer, a Princeton University professor, wrote in his 1988 study Why Did the Heavens Not Darken?: The 'Final Solution' in History: "...From 1942 to 1945, certainly at Auschwitz , but probably overall, more Jews were killed by so-called 'natural' causes than by 'unnatural' ones." [9]

Even estimates of the number of people who died at Auschwitz - allegedly the main extermination center - are no longer clear cut. At the postwar Nuremberg Tribunal, the Allies charged that the Germans exterminated four million people at Auschwitz. [10] Until 1990, a memorial plaque at Auschwitz read: "Four Million People Suffered and Died Here at the Hands of the Nazi Murderers Between the Years 1940 and 1945." [11]

Is it "Holocaust denial" to dispute these four million deaths? Not today. In July 1990, the Polish government's Auschwitz State Museum, along with Israel's Yad Vashem Holocaust center, conceded that the four million figure was a gross exaggeration, and references to it were accordingly removed from the Auschwitz monument. Israeli and Polish officials announced a tentative revised toll of 1.1 million Auschwitz dead. [12] In 1993, French Holocaust researcher Jean-Claude Pressac, in a much-discussed book about Auschwitz, estimated that altogether about 775,000 died there during the war years. [13]

Professor Mayer acknowledges that the question of how many really died in Auschwitz remains open. In Why Did the Heavens Not Darken? he wrote: [14]

"... Many questions remain open ... All in all, how many bodies were cremated in Auschwitz? How many died there all told? What was the national, religious, and ethnic breakdown in this commonwealth of victims? How many of them were condemned to die a 'natural' death and how many were deliberately slaughtered? And what was the proportion of Jews among those murdered in cold blood among these gassed? We have simply no answers to these questions at this time."

Gas Chambers

What about denying the existence of extermination "gas chambers"? Here too, Mayer makes a startling statement: "Sources for the study of the gas chambers are at once rare and unreliable." While Mayer believes that such chambers did exist at Auschwitz, he points out that "most of what is known is based on the depositions of Nazi officials and executioners at postwar trials and on the memory of survivors and bystanders. This testimony must be screened carefully, since it can be influenced by subjective factors of great complexity." [15]

Höss Testimony

One example of this might be the testimony of Rudolf Höss, an SS officer who served as commandant of Auschwitz. In its Judgment, the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal quoted at length from his testimony to support its findings of extermination. [16]

It is now well established that Höss' crucial testimony, as well as his so-called "confession" - which was also cited by the Nuremberg Tribunal - are not only false, but were obtained by beating the former commandant nearly to death. [17] Höss' wife and children were also threatened with death and deportation to Siberia. In his statement - which would not be admissible today in any United States court of law - Höss claimed the existence of an extermination camp called "Wolzek." In fact, no such camp ever existed. He further claimed that during the time that he was commandant of Auschwitz, two and a half million people were exterminated there, and that a further half million died of disease. [18] Today no reputable historian upholds these figures. Höss was obviously willing to say anything, sign anything and do anything to stop the torture, and to try to save himself and his family.

Forensic Investigations

In his 1988 book, Professor Mayer calls for "excavations at the killing sites and in their immediate environs" to determine more about the gas chambers. In fact, such forensic studies have been made. The first was conducted in 1988 by American execution equipment consultant, Fred A. Leuchter, Jr. He carried out an on-site forensic examination of the alleged gas chambers at Auschwitz, Birkenau and Majdanek to determine if they could have been used to kill people as claimed. After a careful study of the alleged killing facilities, Leuchter concluded that the sites were not used, and could not have been used, as homicidal gas chambers. Furthermore, an analysis of samples taken by Leuchter from the walls and floors of the alleged gas chambers showed either no or minuscule traces of cyanide compound, from the active ingredient of Zyklon B, the pesticide allegedly used to murder Jews at Auschwitz. [19]

A confidential forensic examination (and subsequent report) commissioned by the Auschwitz State Museum and conducted by Institute of Forensic Research in Krakow has confirmed Leuchter's finding that minimal or no traces of cyanide compound can be found in the sites alleged to have been gas chambers. [20]

The significance of this is evident when the results of the forensic examination of the alleged homicidal gas chambers are compared with the results of the examination of the Auschwitz disinfestation facilities, where Zyklon B was used to delouse mattresses and clothing. Whereas no or only trace amounts of cyanide were found in the alleged homicidal gas chambers, massive traces of cyanide were found in the walls and floor in the camp's disinfestation delousing chambers.

Another forensic study was carried out by German chemist Germar Rudolf. On the basis of his on-site examination and analysis of samples, the certified chemist and doctoral candidate concluded: "For chemical-technical reasons, the claimed mass gassings with hydrocyanic acid in the alleged 'gas chambers' in Auschwitz did not take place ... The supposed facilities for mass killing in Auschwitz and Birkenau were not suitable for this purpose..." [21]

There is also the study of Austrian engineer Walter Lüftl, a respected expert witness in numerous court cases, and former president of Austria's professional association of engineers. In a 1992 report he called the alleged mass extermination of Jews in gas chambers "technically impossible." [22]

Discredited Perspective

So just what constitutes "Holocaust denial"? Those who support criminal persecution of "Holocaust deniers" seem to be still living in the world of 1946 where the Allied officials of the Nuremberg Tribunal have just pronounced their verdict. But the Tribunal's findings can no longer be assumed to be valid. Because it relied so heavily on such untrustworthy evidence as the Höss testimony, some of its most critical findings are now discredited.

For purposes of their own, powerful special interest groups desperately seek to keep substantive discussion of the Holocaust story taboo. One of the ways they do this is by purposely mischaracterizing revisionist scholars as "deniers." But the truth can't be suppressed forever: There is a very real and growing controversy about what actually happened to Europe's Jews during World War II.

Let this issue be settled as all great historical controversies are resolved: through free inquiry and open debate in our journals, newspapers and classrooms.

India may not have had diplomatic ties with Israel but New Delhi quietly sought and got arms from Tel Aviv as it prepared to go to war with Pakistan in 1971, a book has revealed.

The book, 1971, by scholar Srinath Raghavan offers fresh insights into the 14-day war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Raghavan accessed the PN Haksar papers maintained at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library in Delhi. These papers document startling aspects of a war that is probably India's finest military moment but has not been documented adequately. A diplomat, Haksar was also an adviser to the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Raghavan's research reveals that India's ambassador to France DN Chatterjee began the process to get Israeli arms with a note to the external affairs ministry on July 6, 1971, saying assistance from Israel for "propaganda, finance and even procurement of armament and oil" would be "invaluable".

Gandhi immediately accepted the proposal and through the country's external intelligence agency R&AW began the process to get the arms through the tiny principality of Liechtenstein.

India didn't have diplomatic ties with Israel at that time, having voted against its creation in 1948, and consistently supported the Arabs in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Israel was in middle of an arms shortage but prime minister Golda Meir stepped in to divert arms meant for Iran to India. She sent a note addressed to Gandhi in Hebrew through Shlomo Zabuldowicz, the director of the firm handling the secret transfers, with a request for diplomatic ties in return for arms. The diplomatic ties, however, could only be established in 1992 when Narasimha Rao was the Indian PM.

Another note - from then R&AW chief RN Kao on August 4, 1971 to Haksar - also finds mention in Raghavan's book. The note detailed how the arms would be airlifted with a batch of Israeli instructors. The arms would eventually land up with the Indian Army and the Mukti Bahini, the guerilla force of Bengalis who would force the Pakistanis to surrender.

Other revelations in the book include a secret agreement between Iran and Pakistan to give air cover to Karachi in case of an Indian attack. But the Shah of Iran reneged on the agreement, fearing retaliation from the Soviet Union.

Interestingly, while Gandhi was worried about Chinese intervention, the then charge de affairs of the Indian embassy, Brajesh Mishra, who would go on to be the national security adviser in the Vajpayee government, sent an authoritative assessment that China would stay out of the war.

Finally, the US move to send in the seventh fleet to "intimidate" India proved counter-productive. As soon as the American ships arrived, India decided to step up the offensive and para-dropped troops in Tangail to make a dash for Dhaka. As the capital fell, India forced a surrender before any international power could intervene.

50 displaced Syrians 'die of starvation' near Jordan border

AMMAN/IRBID - Fifty Syrian refugees trapped along the Jordanian-Syrian border by ongoing shelling died of starvation and malnutrition on Monday and Tuesday, activists and border region residents said.

The deaths were reported in the Syrian border villages of Daal, Sheikh Maskin and Al Tufs as regime forces continued an ongoing aerial bombing campaign that has prevented food supplies from reaching the under-siege towns.

The vast majority of the deceased were some of the estimated 50,000 displaced Syrians who have fled various cities across the country and have been prevented by rising violence from crossing into Jordan, activists claim.

"We are starting to see children and even adults dying from simple health conditions such as dehydration and diarrhoea," said Ahmad Al Jayousi, a volunteer nurse at a makeshift field hospital in Al Tufs, where 20 patients have reportedly died of malnutrition-related complications this week.

The reported deaths raises to 250 the total number of civilians in southern Syria who have allegedly succumbed to starvation-related health conditions this month, Syrian rebel officials say, warning that the lives of over 20,000 remain in danger should relief agencies fail to break the ongoing military blockade and deliver aid to border towns and villages.

Damascus continued its seven-week-old aerial offensive across southern Syria, closing off traditional access routes to Jordan and driving hundreds to flee to the Kingdom via the eastern desert along the Iraqi border.

Some 400 Syrians crossed into Jordan early Tuesday, the Jordan Armed Forces said, the vast majority having travelled from the northern Syrian towns of Homs and Hama.

Jordan has opened its borders to over 600,000 Syrians since the onset of the conflict in March 2011.

Bill Maher was born in New York City and grew up in River Vale, NJ. His Irish Catholic father, William, was a radio announcer and news editor. His Jewish mother, Julie, was a nurse. Maher was raised in the Catholic faith. While attending Cornell University, he decided to try stand-up comedy.

His family stopped going to church, however, when Bill was a young teen due to his father's objection to the Catholic Church's stance on birth control. Judaism was almost a non-issue in the Maher household and young Bill didn't even find out that his mother was Jewish until his early teens.1

Most of the research for this article was done by watching Bill Maher's film, Religulous. The film very clearly outlines Maher's religious beliefs interspersed with him making fools of religious people (which he very effectively does), be they fundamentalist Muslims or barely-educated truckers at a truck stop Christian church.

Maher would be considered, in traditional terms, an agnostic, saying:

"I'm saying that doubt is the only appropriate response for human beings"

However, Maher takes it a step further, calling himself an "apatheist"3 because he thinks religion is so ridiculous that it's not even worth thinking or caring about-even though his films, numerous comments and critiques, and his show "Real Time with Bill Maher" would indicate that he does, in fact, care quite a bit. This is certainly not the only case of hypocrisy in Maher's mentality-as we will see later.
