A Jamaat al-Muslimeen activist Br. Abu Talib working at the
grassroots level
Photo shows Br. Kaukab about to shake hands with Br. Abu
Talib from Brooklyn, New York. Br. Abu Talib was awarded a
plaque by Imam Badi Ali honoring him for his services to
Islam. Br. Abu Talib, from the West Indies, has distributed
countless copies of New Trend in New York. People ask why he
is so thin? He eats very little and is there at just about
all political rallies and demonstrations in New York,
distributing Jamaat al-Muslimeen and other literature. He
has been urging Shi'a Muslims to speak out against the
imprisonment of three Shi'a Muslims in the JFK case.
Somalia: USA has offered $22 million bounty for Somali
Islamic leaders.
Please scroll to end for report.
Yemen: Heavy fighting is reported as Yemeni troops supported
by armor and jet fighters try to take back the town of Jaar
captured by Ansar al-Shari'a, Looks like a stalemate. The
troops can't advance.
Nigeria: The war situation is ugly after attacks on mosques
and the killing of 6 Islamics in Maiduguri by troops, Boko
Haram is retaliating against regime forces, killed three
senior officers, and hitting 2 churches. The Boko Haram is
trying to drive out Christian tribes who were brought from
the South and settled in Muslim majority area to dilute the
Muslim population. [Why is no attempt made for a peaceful
solution? No one has an answer.]
Afghanistan: Fifteen elite NATO troops were killed in the
first 10 days of June. These include 4 French troops killed
and 5 wounded by a human bomber in Kapisa province.
In May 45 NATO troops were killed. The situation for NATO is
grim.
Syria: Assad facing reversals but continues to kill. It's
the Warsaw syndrome.
Breaking news: June 10: Heavy fighting is going on in
Damascus as troops who have joined the Islamic side are
battling Assad's security forces. Earlier there was fighting
in the Idlib area [north west] in which the "deserters" used
rpgs to knock out five of Assad's tanks.
Over the weekend of June 10-11, the Syrian tyrant killed
another 35 civilians in his attempts to crush the mass level
protests. However, the situation is changing with steady
defections from the Syrian army. Several thousand troops
have deserted with their weapons. They are organizing and
defending the Muslim population from attacks by Assad's
elite Alawite troops. Alawites and Syrian Christians,
Assad's base, are suffering some revenge attacks.
Iranian media are spinning conspiracy theories about the
conflict.
In 1982 this Assad's father wiped out the city of Hama and
remained in power. Iran, Israel and the West sense that this
Assad could do a repeat of 1982 on a national level and
still remain in power. However, defections from the military
are a new factor, the communication provided by email and
facebook and the meagre but important help provided by
Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia has changed the situation.
[As New Trend predicted, Israel and the US are following the
Warsaw syndrome: let Assad kill the Islamics and then move
against a weakened Assad or even remove him as a "favor" to
the Muslims.]
History in the making
June 11: NATO Supply routes through Pakistan remain blocked.
Jamaate Islami is leading a peaceful blockade of NATO
supplies. Islamic "militants" Sami-ul-Haq and Hafiz Saeed
urged the masses to stop the supply containers right in
Karachi if the regime suddenly starts moving them. Hafiz
Saeed has become extremely popular after the US put a bounty
on his head and then withdrew it in the face of Pakistani
defiance.[US media are not reporting that NATO is being
blocked by the masses of Pakistan.]

Faith Increases and Decreases [Imam Bukhari].
Is our faith increasing or are we integrating into the Pagan
Culture?
In The Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially
Merciful
Transliteration: "Innal-eemaana qawlun wa 'amal, yazeedu wa
yanqus."
Translation: "Eemaan is statement and action, it increases
and decreases."
The the definition of faith by consensus is statement AND
action. Our faith as Muslims increases and decreases. It
increases with obedience to Allah, and decreases with
disobedience. Faith is never static. There are over 70
branches of faith, and there are three levels of faith. The
highest level of faith is changing something with your hands
and the lowest level is hating something with your heart.
Modesty is a branch of faith. So, unlike the slaves of the
cross, we know that just proclaiming the shahadah is not
enough, because we need to take action.
Islam is not a religion of wimps, because part of faith is
enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. Our faith as
practicing Muslims is something that the West hates. They
complain that we do not "integrate" into their society. They
will only be happy with us if we go to brothels, casinos,
and pubs. That is their idea of integration.
With this in mind, where are we in our faith? Is our faith
speech and action? Or are we just wimps that "proclaim" we
believe in Allah and His Messenger? We cannot "have our cake
and eat it too".
"The most in their suffering among the people are the
prophets, then the best, then the (next) best. One is
afflicted in accordance with his faith. If his faith is
firm, his affliction is hard, and if his faith is weak, his
affliction is light. Indeed, one would be so much subjected
to adversity until he walks among the people without any
sins." (Ahmad and At-Tirmidhi)
Are we being tested because we have strong faith, or are we
living a life of ease? Wallahu 'Alim.
Latest Khutba
Elimination of Muslim Leaders is not the way to Peace: Islam
is decentralized.
We want peace with Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims who are
not oppressors
On June 8, 2012, Br. Kaukab Siddique gave the Juma khutba
and led prayers at a mosque in central Baltimore. The masjid
was packed with worshippers. Later 4 young African Americans
from a local high school came in to embrace Islam and were
given the shahadah by Br. Kaleem.
Here are the main points of the khutba by Siddique for wider
distribution.
-
Text # 1:
 -
"Dispute with the people of the Book only in the
best way, except with those who are oppressors, and say 'We
believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and in
that which came down to you,. Our God and your God is one,
and it is to Him that we submit in Islam.' " [The Qur'an
29:46]
 -
Text #2:
 -
"When there are three of you, one should lead,
and the best for leadership should be the well read one."
[Hadith of Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, narrated by Abu Saeed,
r.a., in Sahih Muslim.]
"The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be on
him, commanded us, if there are even three of us, one should
step forward and lead." [Hadith narrated by Samurah ibn
Jundub, r.a., in the Sunan of Tirmidhi.]

-
We want to communicate peacefully with everyone for the
sake of understanding. However the Qur'an, 29:46, does make
an exception of those who are oppressors. The Muslim cliques
working with the government leave out the words of the verse
which delinks the oppressors and thus these "regime Muslims"
violate the Qur'an.
 -
The way to peace is to end oppression, war, occupation,
exploitation. Islam is not a nationality or a country which
can be defeated by killing its leaders or through genocide
of its people. It is global and it is based on faith and the
inner yearnings of the soul.
 -
Malcolm X was killed but as al-Hajj Malik Shabazz, the one
who went to Makka, he won millions to Islam and became not
only a national or an African leader but an international
one AFTER his death. It was his message that won, that
"whiteness" is a mental condition. In India, 2000 British
officers controlled millions of people through mental
dominance. Under South African Apartheid, a few Whites used
brainwashed Blacks to impose rigid controls.
 -
Then, to stop Islam in America, Imam Jamil al-Amin was
"eliminated" and put away in a far away cell. Today his
message has widespread support, much more than when he was
free.
 -
Bush went into Iraq and toppled Saddam Hussain. Bush
declared "mission accomplished" in triumph. Saddam went to
his death reciting the kalima with the Qur'an in his hand.
 -
Then began the Iraqi resistance, with seemingly no
leaders. The US killed al-Zarqawi but the fighting went on.
We saw that Obama was elected promising to end the creeping
defeat of the occupiers in Iraq.
 -
Then look at the "war on terror." Khalid Muhammad was
tortured and "water boarded" 81 times. You can make a man
say anything after such torture. Then Shaykh Awlaki was
killed, and then Shaykh Osama was killed, and now al-Libi
[The Libyan].
 -
The idea behind all these killings is that if you get rid
of the leaders, the whole world will become the plaything of
the imperialists.
 -
Americans are never told that when you kill Muslim
leaders, things get worse, not better. Islam is not a
"thing" or a "person" you can destroy or kill. It is the
Qur'an, it is the Sunnah, it is the Shari'ah.
 -
Every other day some Zionist Jew or other Zionist comes
on TV and declares "Mission Accomplished." They think they
can fool all the people all the time.
 -
As the hadith I have quoted show, Islam is
decentralized. Islam is not a cult which can be defeated by
killing leaders. Even three Muslims will have a leader.
 -
In reverse, the American power structure supported
dictators on the basis that Muslim nations are represented
by leaders.Hosni Mubarak, Ben Ali, Qaddafi, Saleh of Yemen,
and now Assad, were all America's boys. Now America claims
to be on the side of the Muslim masses who are rising up,
and here too the effort is to prop up a few westernized
puppets.
 -
Muslims in America must resist these fake ideas of the
Zionists that Islam can be defeated by killing leaders.
Islam is not the enemy of America, so get over it and learn
that Muslims have their own agenda. The Qur'an cannot be
defeated by doing what you did to Germany and Japan.
 -
Let us work for peace by coming up with initiatives for
peace. It's ridiculous to try to re-elect Obama by
celebrating the killing of unarmed opponents. Every
Palestinian child knows that Palestine is occupied and
Israel is a fraud.
We are not Germans that you can
legitimize our oppression in our own minds.

In blow to Zionist censors, California backs professor's
right to call for Israel boycott on state university
website
Submitted by Ali Abunimah on Tue, 06/05/2012 - 20:03
Palestine solidarity activism on US campuses continues to
grow despite attacks by Israel lobby groups. (Maureen Clare
Murphy / The Electronic Intifada) The Attorney General of
California has rejected a request by a Zionist group to
prosecute a professor at California State University,
Northridge (CSUN) for "misuse of state resources" because he
uses university servers to host a website on which he
campaigns for the boycott of Israel.
As The Electronic Intifada reported in January, CSUN
mathematics professor David Klein has been under intense
fire from Zionist groups for organizing in opposition to the
California State University system's resumption of a study
abroad program in Israel. In April, the Global Frontier
Justice Center asked the California Attorney General to
investigate and prosecute Klein.
Klein told me today that he was pleased and surprised by the
decision of the Attorney General not to prosecute him, which
he learned of by letter.
"I saw the letter in my mailbox and I thought uh-oh here we
go, but then I opened it and heaved a sigh of relief," Klein
said, "I hope that it is a source of encouragement to other
faculty members to do similar things, to go ahead and take a
public stand against apartheid in Israel and ethnic
cleansing, and all the injustices there."
The attacks on Klein prompted USACBI, the US Campaign for
the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, of which he is
an organizer, to launch a petition in his support.
Call to prosecute Klein for expressing his views
In April, the Global Frontier Justice Center sent a letter
to the California Attorney General, alleging "the prolonged
and continuous violation of a state statute" by Klein "and
the complicity of his employer" for using his university
webpage to express his opinions.
The letter went on to list Klein's thought crimes,
including, "(1) expressing hostility toward the State of
Israel; (2) painting the Palestinian people as victims
only-not aggressors; (3) encouraging people to boycott
Israeli goods, Israeli scholarship and academics, and
Israeli sports," and encouraging other forms of divestment
and boycott activities.
Attorney General finds claims against Klein baseless
In a 17 May letter to the Global Frontier Justice Center's
lawyers, a copy of which Klein posted on his website, the
Attorney General's office rejected the claims:
Thank you for your letter to Attorney General Harris
concerning the alleged misuse of state resources by
Professor David M. Klein. The Department of Justice is
committed to upholding and enforcing state laws, and we take
allegations like these very seriously.
We have carefully reviewed the letter and materials you sent
to this office on April 2, 2012, in which you request we
prosecute an alleged misuse of the name and resources of the
California State University, Northridge by Dr. Klein.
Because we conclude upon review that the evidence provided
does not support a finding of misuse of such name and
resources, we find no basis for any action on our part.
Latest setback to "lawfare" efforts
"I'm not sure that their efforts are over but I think this
is a defeat for them that they've been unable to enlist any
legal authority to take action against me," Klein said of
Global Frontier Justice Center.
Klein praised the strong support he has received from
university administrators, especially CSUN Interim President
Harry Hellenbrand who has publicly stood by Klein's right to
free speech.
In April, Hellenbrand distributed a public letter on campus
titled "J'Accuse: The New Anti-Anti-Semitism" in which he
dismissed accusations of "anti-Semitism" against Klein as
"partisan and sectarian" and noted that, "invoking the
apparatus of the state to proscribe broad categories of
speech in hubs of innovation and disruption like public
universities will have the paradoxical effect of chilling
public exchange while heating up zealotry."
The failed effort to bring state censorship down on Klein
represents the latest setback for Zionist groups attempting
to use "lawfare" - legal harassment - to silence and
intimidate the Palestine solidarity movement.
In February, a judge in Olmypia, Washington threw out an
Israel-backed lawsuit intended to force the Olympia Food
Co-op to abandon its boycott of Israeli goods.
And in January, a federal judge in San Francisco threw out a
lawsuit by members of a Zionist student organization
alleging that administrators at the University of California
Berkeley had allowed an "anti-Semitic climate" to develop
due to the activities of Students for Justice in Palestine
and the Muslim Student Organization.
Who is the Global Frontier Justice Center?
The Global Frontier Justice Center has also threatened to
sue the University of New Mexico over a protest by students
at a speech by StandWithUs propagandist Nonie Darwish at
which the protesting students were physically attacked.
But the organization appears to be have little real-world
existence. It has a Twitter account, which only tweeted
twice, on 2 April, in relation to David Klein:
Africans in "Israel" Face Concentration Camps and
Deportations
Israeli Interior ministry statistics show that approximately
60,000 African immigrants have entered Israel illegally,
about 1,500 of whom are from South Sudan with which Israel
has friendly relations.
Human Rights Watch on Sunday urged Israel to repeal or amend
a law that allows migrants to be detained without charge for
up to three years, calling it a violation of "basic rights."
"Subjecting irregular border-crossers to potential
indefinite detention without charge or access to legal
representation would violate the prohibition against
arbitrary detention under international human rights law,"
the New York-based group said.
Israel announced on June 3 that officials would be able to
detain migrants who crossed into the Jewish state illegally
for up to three years, as part of a bid to stem the flow of
African migrants into the country.
But Human Rights Watch said the law stood to stoke anger
against migrants, which erupted last month when a protest by
around 1,000 people against the rising number of Africans in
Israel turned violent.
"Israeli officials are not only adding rhetorical fuel to
the xenophobic fire, but they now have a new law that
punishes refugees in violation of international law," said
Human Rights Watch's refugee program director Bill Frelick
in a statement.
"The law should be amended immediately, and not enforced
until necessary revisions are made."
In February, the defense ministry announced plans to build
an immigrant detention centre in southern Israel at a cost
projected at the time of 250 million shekels (about $64
million). (AFP)
The West can't win against the Quran, the book of
revolution: Jamaate Islami Leaders of India and Pakistan.
The Qur'an is Available in 70 Translations including
Sanskrit.
by Syed Zahid Askari
"The incidents of desecrating the holy Quran were manifest
of utter frustration of the 'learned West' to produce
logical arguments versus Quran. They have been badly
irritated because think tanks of the West had realized that
the way of Quranic revolution could not be stopped with any
weapon - Syed Munawwar Hassan"
"The promising effects of the holy Quran can only be
attained by implementing the message of the holy Quran -
Syed Jalaluddin Umri"
KARACHI: Jamaat-e Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Syed Munawwar
Hassan has said that the forces of the evil had realized
that the New World Order and bombardment would not impede
the way of Islamic revolution as laid in the holy Quran,
which is a divine book of everlasting guidance toward peace
and prosperity and welfare of the mankind.
The JI Ameer expressed these thought provoking views in his
presidential address to the inaugural session of a 3-day
long Quran Exhibition 'Mazahir-ul Quran' at the Idara-e
Noor-e Haq Friday, June 8.The exhibition would continue till
June 10.
The Consul General of Iran Abbas Ali Allahi, Iran Cultural
Centre Director General Mehdi Khateeb and the Vice Consul of
Japan Yucki Ochai were also present.
JI India Ameer Syed Jalaluddin Umri, who had arrived in the
city on special invitation, inaugurated the exhibition.
June 9 would be for women to attend the exhibition while on
June 10, families would come to the exhibition. The
exhibition, Mazahir-ul Quran, which was being divided into 5
sections that included rare editions of the holy Quran,
translations in different languages, Tafaseer (elaborative
descriptions of Quranic messages), hand-written manuscripts
that were compiled during the emperor Alamgir's era, which
were coated with pure gold. The exhibition offered around 70
different editions of translations in foreign languages
including those in Sanskirit. Around 35 Tafaseers and 4
poetic versions would also be available.
Hassan while unfolding the madness of the highly educated
people of the West involved in desecrating the holy Quran
said that the desecration of the holy Quran could not do any
damage to the divine book but exposed the irritation of the
people of the West that were quite incapable to produce
logical answers to the questions and messages of the holy
Quran. He said that the Think Tanks of the West had realized
that Quran was the book of revolution, which was inevitable
and could not be checked; hence the forces of evil and the
countries of the West had acquired a bitter irritation as
they did not have any mechanism to prevent Quran from
bringing revolution in lives of people. Western leaders are
frustrated and irritated because they see their inability to
defeat the message of the Qur'an despite their advances in
technology and organizational power,
He said that failure of the highly trained, learned and
scholastic people of the West to convince through logical
arguments was the manifest of victory of the holy Quran,
which was descended to bring peace, prosperity and
revolution in the world, which was inevitable.
In his inaugural speech, JI India Ameer Syed Jalaluddin Umri
said that Quran had brought about a revolution by the
Muslims, who sought guidance from the holy Quran. The
promising effects of the holy Quran could only be attained
by implementing the message of the holy Quran.
He said that the unrest and frustration across the world was
due to abandoning the holy Quran. It is the only divine book
that is intact word by word and it is the only book that
would bring revolution in the world.

Terrorism by another name.
US Drone Strikes categorize ALL civilian supporters of
Taliban and al-Qaidah as "militants" and "terrorists" to be
Killed.
Even a former CIA Chief sees this as a blunder especially in
Yemen and Pakistan
[From the British paper The Guardian, June 5, 2012.]

A former top terrorism official at the CIA has warned that
President Barack Obama's controversial drone programme is
far too indiscriminate in hitting targets and could lead to
such political instability that it creates terrorist safe
havens.
Obama's increased use of drones to attack suspected Islamic
militants in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia and Yemen has
become one of the most controversial aspects of his national
security policy. He has launched at least 275 strikes in
Pakistan alone; a rate of attack that is far higher than his
predecessor George W Bush.
Defenders of the policy say it provides a way of hitting
high-profile targets, such as al-Qaida number two, Abu Yahya
al-Libi. But critics say the definition of militant is used
far too broadly and there are too many civilian casualties.
The London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism
estimates up to 830 civilians, including many women and
children, might have been killed by drone attacks in
Pakistan, 138 in Yemen and 57 in Somalia. Hundreds more have
been injured.
Now Robert Grenier, who headed the CIA's counter-terrorism
center from 2004 to 2006 and was previously a CIA station
chief in Pakistan, has told the Guardian that the drone
programme is targeted too broadly. "It [the drone program]
needs to be targeted much more finely. We have been seduced
by them and the unintended consequences of our actions are
going to outweigh the intended consequences," Grenier said
in an interview.
Grenier emphasised that the use of drones was a valuable
tool in tackling terrorism but only when used against
specific identified targets, who have been tracked and
monitored to a place where a strike is feasible. However,
recent media revelations about Obama's programme have
revealed a more widespread use of the strike capability,
including the categorising of all military-age males in a
strike zone of a target as militants. That sort of broad
definition and the greater use of drones has outraged human
rights organisations.
The BIJ has reported that drone strikes in Pakistan over the
weekend hit a funeral gathering for a militant slain in a
previous strike and also may have accidentally hit a mosque.
That sort of action adds credence to the claims that the
drone campaign is likely to cause more damage by creating
anger at the US than it does in eliminating terrorist
threats.
"We have gone a long way down the road of creating a
situation where we are creating more enemies than we are
removing from the battlefield. We are already there with
regards to Pakistan and Afghanistan," he said.
Grenier said he had particular concerns about Yemen, where
al-Qaida linked groups have launched an insurgency and
captured swathes of territory from the over-stretched local
army. US drones have been active in the country, striking at
targets that have included killing US-born cleric Anwar
al-Awlaki and his 16-year-old son.
The BIJ estimates that there have been up to 41 confirmed US
drone strikes in Yemen since 2002 and possibly up a 55
unconfirmed ones. Grenier said the strikes were too
indiscriminate and causing outrage among the civilian
population in the country, lending support to Islamists and
seeing a growth in anti-US sentiment.
"That brings you to a place where young men, who are
typically armed, are in the same area and may hold these
militants in a certain form of high regard. If you strike
them indiscriminately you are running the risk of creating a
terrific amount of popular anger. They have tribes and clans
and large families. Now all of a sudden you have a big
problem ... I am very concerned about the creation of a
larger terrorist safe haven in Yemen," Grenier said.
Grenier was the CIA's station chief in Islamabad when
terrorists struck the World Trade Center in New York and
attacked the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. He played a key
role in co-ordinating covert operations that led up to the
downfall of the Taliban in Afghanistan. He later headed up
the CIA's CTC where he led the CIA's global operations in
the War on Terror as its top counter-terrorism official. He
left the agency in 2006.
Pakistan: From Shamsuddin Amjad
JI condemns Panetta's threats : US has been making War on
Pakistan.
LAHORE, June 8: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed
Munawar Hasan, has strongly reacted to the US Defence
Secretary Leon Panetta's threats to the country and said the
Pakistani nation won't be cowed down and it wont yield to
any pressure for restoring the NATO supplies.
In a statement here before his departure for Karachi on
Friday, he urged the peace loving nations to take notice of
the US threats in order to save the world from the third
world war.
The JI Ameer said that the US and its allies were furious
because the NATO supplies had not been restored so far. They
were playing the policy of carrot and stick and some times
looked irritated. At the same time, scores of innocent
citizens were being killed in drone attacks. He said the
nefarious designs of India and Israel in Balochsitan under
the US patronage had already come to fore. In fact, the US
was trying to destabilize the country in order to establish
India's hegemony in the region.
Syed Munawar Hasan said the US had been waging an undeclared
war against this country for the last twelve years only
because of the cowardice of Musharraf and Zardari
governments and was now out to thrust an open war on this
country. He said if the rulers did not come out of the US
fear, Washington would turn this country into a battlefield.
He was however sure that the 180 million Pakistanis would
bravely face the US threats.
Unfortunately, he said, the Pakistani rulers were only
interested in prolonging their rule and had even staked the
country's integrity and solidarity in their lust for
dollars. The US slavery had made them totally blind and they
could neither see the US brutalities nor hear its
threats.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the nation did not expect the
cowardly rulers to show some courage but the silence of the
army chief over the US Defence Secretary's statement was a
matter of concern as he should have given a befitting reply.

The rewards for seven leaders of the al-Shabab militia
movement will be announced on Thursday by the State
Department, the officials said, speaking on condition of
anonymity ahead of the announcement.
The bounties will be administered by the department's
Rewards for Justice program. It will be first time the
programme has offered rewards for members of al-Shabab,
which is accused of terrorist attacks in Somalia, Uganda and
Kenya.
The programme will offer up to $7 million for al-Shabab's
founder, Ahmed Abdi aw-Mohamed; up to $5 million each for
his associates, Ibrahim Haji Jama, Fuad Mohamed Khalaf,
Bashir Mohamed Mahamoud and Mukhtar Robow; and up to $3
million for Zakariya Ismail Ahmed Hersi and Abdullahi Yare,
according to the officials.
Al-Shabab and al-Qaeda formally joined organisations earlier
this year, though the ties between the groups already were
strong. Al-Shabab counts hundreds of foreign fighters
among its ranks, including fighters with experience in the
Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
In April, the US government warned that it continues to
receive information about potential terrorist threats
aimed at US, Western and Kenyan targets inside Kenya
