Rabi' al-Thani 14,1432/March 19, 2011 # 12
Press Release: from Kaukab Siddique, Ameer of Jamaat
al-Muslimeen
In Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Pakistan, Islamic Rights of the
People are the Issue.
The western assault on Libya began on March 19. The attacks
were begun by France. Then at 4.46 PM EST, the US and
Britain fired 110 Tomahawk missiles at Libyan installations.
Libya had declared cease fire but the western powers claimed
that it was not real and started attacking Libya. These
attacks are not meant to help the Muslim masses.
Let us put it in context.
Gaddafi of Libya, Khalifa of Bahrain, Salah of Yemen have
one thing in common: They want to deny the people their
Islamic rights at the point of the gun. Gaddafi sent jet
fighters and tanks to crush the people of Libya. In every
city, including Tripoli, the people rose up but were
attacked by Gaddafi's military. This is tyranny beyond all
limits.
The western powers waited till they thought Gaddafi had
crushed the people in almost every city. Now the West sees
it opportune to emerge as the savior of Libya. The Libyan
Islamic communities can be crushed in conventional battles
but in the long run, the mujahedin will win, inshallah. The
media propaganda about tyhe imminent collapse of the Libyan
opposition has been used by the West to give it a chance to
intervene.
In Yemen, 52 Muslims were killed in Sana'a alone by the
tyrant Salah's snipers on Friday, March 18. President Obama
and the Europeans have shown no desire to end the slaughter
of innocent civilians in Yemen. In fact, USA is working
closely with the Yemeni tyrant. Why this double standard [a
polite name for hypocrisy]? Is it because segments of Yemen
have passed into the hands of the dreaded al-Qaida Islamic
movement? Yemenis have no right to establish Islam?
In Bahrain, the Saudi army carried out an invasion and
helped the local tyrant to assault the people gathered in
their mass rallies in Manama's central square. Again no high
moral tone from Obama and the crusaders. The Saudis are
reported to have attacked a hospital where Bahrainis injured
by the police were being treated. Does the Saudi army have
any Islamic values, or is it an American army with Muslim
names?
In all these uprisings, the real issue is the emergence of
Islamic power. Don't be fooled by the hype.
In Pakistan, the latest US drone attacks have killed 40
people in North Waziristan, most of them tribal supporters
of the government. The CIA man who killed 2 Pakistanis has
been released and flown rapidly out of Pakistan. Reports
indicate that the relatives of the dead were coerced into
"forgiving" the CIA man, were promised $2 million and then
put into a hiding place. Pakistanis feel betrayed and see
the involvement of the army chief and the ISI chief in this
drama. Pakistanis don't know whom to trust among their
leaders. See that Dr. Afia is in a US prison cell while the
CIA agent is free.
On March 17 and 18, Pakistanis rallied in many cities to
condemn the release of CIA's Raymond Davis and the drone
attacks. No reports in the US media and trivialization in
the secular, English language, Pakistani media, which
Americans read.
[For an Islamic commentary on the "release" of Raymond
Davis, see an important article by Shamim Siddiqui, a
distinguished US Muslim.Scroll to end.]

Spotlight on Libya: We Condemn French Intervention
by Imam Badi Ali [Jamaat al-Muslimeen National Shoora] North
Carolina
Through New Trend, we have always opposed the tyranny of
Mu'ammar Gaddafi. We are against all oppressors [known in
the Qur'an as taghoot], The Prophet, pbuh, opposed his own
uncle's tyranny. We are the followers of Muhammad, pbuh.
However, we must say NO to French intervention, and all
anglo-european intervention, in Libya. We urge Muslims not
only to look at what is happening right now [March 19] but
also at the past record of France and consider what might
happen in the future.
France has had an ugly past in its interventions all over
Africa. For 80 years France has carried out its secret and
deadly games in Africa, setting up and removing one dictator
after another. What has remained constant is the focus on
French interests and French material gains. France controls
uranium and oil and other products in Africa and is now
making a big move in Libya.
France has been involved in genocide against Muslims and
Africans in general. It was supposedly the friend of Saddam
Hussain but then betrayed him. During the war of
independence in Algeria, it carried out serious mass
killings. Later it supported the Algerian generals in their
slaughter of Islamic activists and their families.
There are indications of a French role in the genocide in
Rwanda, turning Hutus against Tutsis.
Few people know that France has its own secularized group in
Eastern Libya. These are intellectuals who have studied in
France. They are "French Libyans" They have become vocal
during the anti-Gaddafi rallies, exploiting the anger of the
masses, and have been displaying the French flag along with
the old Libyan flag. An effort is underway to bring up a
secular Libyan leadership to benefit from the sacrifices of
the Islamic masses.
France has been in Africa all this time, under various
guises and hidden behind people with African faces and
names. It had a role in the break up of Sudan and in the
disturbances in Darfur. France is certainly not a friend of
Africa or of Muslims. Within France itself, a police state
has developed which has been persecuting Muslims and forcing
Muslim women to give up the hijab.
Using the Arab League as a facade to intervene in Libya,
won't fool anyone. These Arab "leaders" have no credibility
and have been the tools of the western powers in the issues
of Iraq and Palestine.
Libya Hit on the anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq
by Nadrat Siddique
This weekend is the anniversary of the imperialist invasion
of Iraq. Please pray for all the war victims and their
families, amputees, innocents rendered to secret prisons,
political prisoners, poor and black cannon fodder on the
U.S. side and U.S. soldiers who dare speak up against the
war.
Afghan War Costs $300 Million a Day, Pentagon Says
AFP
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110214/pl_afp/useconomypoliticobamabudgetdefense_20110214220016
The withdrawal of American troops from Iraq will allow for a
reduced US defense budget in 2012 but the war in Afghanistan
still costs the United States close to 300 million dollars a
day. Under the Pentagon's proposed budget, the cost of the
wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will drop to $117.8 billion for
fiscal year 2012, a reduction of 41.5 billion from the
previous year.
Jamaate-Islami, Tehrik Insaf, Jamat-ud-Dawa Joint
Protest
Pakistanis Rally Against Release of CIA Agent
First Time Army Chief & ISI Boss seen as traitors
by Shamsuddin [Lahore]
LAHORE, Mar. 18: Countrywide protest on the release of CIA
operative and double murderer, Raymond Davis, continued for
the second day on Friday on the appeal of the Jamaat e
Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan.
Thousands of the protestors, especially the youth charged
with emotions and rage, participated in the rally that
marched from the Nasir Bagh up to the Assembly Chambers.
Addressing a joint rally taken out by Jamaate Islami, the
Tehrik e Insaaf and the Jama't-ud- Da'wa, in the Punjab
capital, Syed Munawar Hasan, termed the Punjab government as
the biggest culprit in the Raymond Davis deal for
fulfillment of the US agenda along with the federal
government and the ISI.
He said, the Sharif Brothers [Nawaz Sharif & Shabaz Sharif]
could not conceal their criminal conduct by flying to London
on any excuse. They were guilty of treachery as they
facilitated Raymond's four accomplices moving in the vehicle
that overran Ibadur Rehman, in fleeing abroad. The secret of
Nawaz Sharif's mysterious ailment has already been revealed
to the masses, he remarked, adding that President Zardari,
PM Gilani, Army chief Kiayni and above all the Sharif
Brothers had sold out the national prestige and honour for a
few coins.
He said, the joining together of the JI, Jama't al Dawa and
the Tehrik e Insa'f for a supreme national cause was the
first drop of the rain.
The protestors carried placards condemning the forces
striking the Raymond deal, bringing degradation and ignominy
to the country and nation.
Syed Munawar Hasan deplored that the ISI had joined the CIA
agenda of the killing of innocent Pakistanis and had lost
nation's confidence by providing protection to a criminal of
the state. He said the killing of over forty people in a
drone attacks on a Jirga on the very next day of Raymond's
release had put the ISI in the dock. The national security
institutions, were inviting public wrath by siding with the
US in its anti-Pakistan policies.
The JI chief was confident that the Go America Go drive of
the JI would be successful in the long run and urged the
people dreaming of the rule of law and justice in the
country to stand by the JI. He said, the parties in power
now were openly ridiculing the judiciary's decisions and the
rule of law and they could not be expected to establish the
rule of law.
Jamaat al Dawa central leader Maulana Ameer Hamza,
addressing the rally, said that the country was being run by
traitors like Mir Ja'fer and Mir Sadiq. He said whenever
there was some bomb blast, the rulers put the blame on the
religious parties and bearded people. But now when a real
terrorist had been nabbed, the ruling parties had ganged up
for his rescue. Therefore, he said, in case of any terrorist
activity in the country in the future, an FIR would be
lodged against Zardari, Gilani, Kiyani, Nawaz Shaif and
Shahbaz Sharif.
He pointed out that the Pakistan envoy in Washington,
Hussain Haqqani, had issued visas to [American] terrorists
in a single day while Interior Minister Rehman Malik had
allowed their entry into the country.
The TI Punjab chief, Ahsan Rashsid, Ahle Hadith scholar
Ibtesam Elahi Zaheer, and Islami Jamiat e Talaba Nazim,
Abdur Rashid, also addressed the protestors.

March 16: NATO Tankers hit in Pakistan
Armed men opened fire at tankers parked outside a roadside
restaurant in Mastung district, some 60 kilometers south of
Quetta, the provincial capital, they said.
The tankers caught fire and four were torched. A driver was
killed and a cleaner injured in firing, police said. The
injured was taken to a nearby hospital.
Pakistan and the Raymond Davis Deal
by Shamim Siddiqui [Long Island, New York]
Here the Deal is fishy. It is not between the killer and the
aggrieved but with the force of Governments and intercession
of Saudi King offering big ransom money in millions of
dollars. There were two issues involved in this case.
1. A person who was an "illegal" entrant in the country and
possessing unauthorized weapons, in broad day light, killed
intentionally two citizens of Pakistan on flimsy grounds on
a thoroughfare. He was arrested red handed. The superpower
of the time applied all the unethical pressures to get him
released but couldn't succeed as the public opinion was
totally against his release. The culprit was under trial.
The outside governmental pressures manipulated the situation
for his release but failed in front of public pressure.
They had no choice but to go to Shariah Law as it was in
their favor. They apparently prevailed upon the family of
the aggrieved people and coerced them to agree to accept
huge ransom in millions of dollars. The poor families
succumbed to the uncalled pressure of governments and agreed
to his release against the payment of ransom. They gave the
statement of acceptance in the court in Jail and within an
hour or so, the captioned prisoner was released from jail,
flown to Afghanistan by a military helicopter and he is now
on his way to the USA.
2. He was an illegal entrants in the country, possessing a
lot of unauthorized weapons and was an agent of CIA. The
honor and prestige of the country was expressly involved
and he should have been tried separately as the spy agent
of a foreign country. The entire country was in favor of it
but the interests of the ruling clicque in Pakistan were in
jeopardy. As such, they all became party to the case and
were maneuvering for his release one way or the other by
hook or by crook.
* The release of Davis is a crime against the country. It
has tormented and violated the honor and prestige of the
country which stands sold for a few million dollars. The
Supreme Court of Pakistan should take notice of this gross
neglect on its own accord and call the Regime to justice and
to bear the consequences of their shameful act of neglect.
*It was a crime against Shariah Law which has been used very
improperly. The Shariah gives permission to the aggrieved
party to pardon the criminal against ransom so that the
wounds are healed, enmity does not continue and the
compensation money may console the hearts and feelings of
the aggrieved. Here in this case "consent" came from outside
pressure, the kings, the Presidents and the so-called
democratic governments have equally committed a crime
against Shariah Law. Who will put them to trial?
* This release represents a case of total cowardice and that
of coercion applied by Pakistan Government, Saudi
Government and that of the USA through lucrative resources
and the families involved exposed the game by BBC Evening
News of today that the wife of a person killed by Davis was
crying and saying loudly that "she "will not accept the
Ransom money adding: "It will not bring back my lost
husband. I am ruined for ever". It must not be forgotten by
anyone that the wife of other victim has already committed
suicide as she couldn't bear the loss of her husband killed
intentionally by Davis.
* Islam has equally allowed to take "KASAS" [revenge] in
stead of ransom money. Has this case not become one of open
"coercion"? Davis would have paid the cost of revenge by
going through the legal proceeding to the gallows. The
Qur'an keeping the human sentiments of the aggrieved
majestically commands: " And there is life for you in
revenge or retaliation, O men of Intellect, so that you may
have [developed] Allah- consciousness" [Verse # 179 of Surah
Al-Baqarah]
*The learned scholars of the Ummah around the Muslim world
must sit together and decide wether the use of coercive
means to get the aggrieved party accept the Ransom by
outside forces as stated above comes within the purview of
the Qur'anic provisions or is it TANTAMOUNT to denial of
justice to the aggrieved parties?
* Will the Islamic Parties of Pakistan accept this outcome
as a fait accompli or agitate the people to rise against
the Government of Islamabad? Allah has provided the best
opportunity to establish the Rule of Shariah in the body
politic of the country or miss it for ever?
