Mohurram 15,1431,/ January 1, 2010 # 1
Don't miss Husayn al-Kurdi's unusual article on President
Saddam's Final Will.
Scroll way down.
From Imam Badi Ali [Jamaat al-Muslimeen North Carolina]:
Spotlight #1: Many people live within their traditions and
established ways of life as if they are in mental prisons.
They cannot live in a free world. When faced with new
situations and new contexts, they become disoriented. The
Qur'an and the Sunnah can guide tem, but they think their
tribal and archaic ways are "Islam."
Spotlight #2: The Muslim world's dilemma can be thought
about under three headings:
-
The ignorance of the masses.
 -
Betrayal by the rulers.
 -
Betrayal by the religious scholars.

Spotlight #3: America's power structure and Israel support
each other in aggression. Owing to Israeli influence in the
US, we often forget that Israel is America's forward
military base. Its purpose is to create divisions within the
Muslim world and make American control easy. Divide and
Conquer. We should look at the following facts:
-
The creation of boundaries and borders between Arab countries.
 -
Countries created in such a way that
oil wealth belongs to tiny states and small populations
while big populations and lands are poverty stricken. For
instance: Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Libya, Saudi. By contrast,
Egypt has nothing.
 -
Constant attempts at division: Shi'ii vs
Sunni, Arab vs. Persian, tribe against tribe in Africa,
Iraq, etc, nation against nation though they are all one
nation..

Jamaat al-Muslimeen: New National Level Leadership
Sis. Ashira has taken over as Secretary General of Jamaat
al-Muslimeen. She is an orthodox Muslim, adhering to the
Qur'an and Hadith. She has a track record of peaceful
Islamic work for the rights of the disenfranchised and the
oppressed. She is the administrator of our Masjid in
Baltimore and has traveled far and wide to spread the
message of unity, equality and Taqwa in her own humble
way.
We thank Sis. Karen, the outgoing Secretary General, for the
high quality of the work she did for Jamaat al-Muslimeen, in
particular for the movement to boycott businesses which
support Israel.
Atlanta's Shame
Free Shifa Sadequee Campaign: Bangladesh High Court Calls it
Illegal Kidnaping by the US
Photo below shows demonstrators in Atlanta protesting
against the US government's bogus terrorism charges against
Ehsanul Sadequee, also known as Shifa. The US has sentenced
this 23 year old devotee of Allah to 17 years in prison. He
was held in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT for 1300 days in an
American prison before he was sentenced. That is USA's
justice system.
In August 2009, the High Court Division of the Supreme court
of Bangladesh declared Shifa's detention, deportation and
handing over to the US authorities "illegal." [With thanks
to the Justice for Shifa campaign.]
Another Revolutionary Khutba
How to Answer Attacks on Islam and Media Propaganda Which
calls Muslims "Terrorists"
On January 1, 2010 Dr. Kaukab Siddique gave the juma khutba
at Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen in Baltimore, Maryland. The
men's area was full. The main points are summarized here for
countrywide distribution and use by other khateebs,
inshallah:
-
Owing to the barrage of media propaganda against Islam and
Muslims, every Muslim must learn how to answer the abuse.
Here are a few points:
 -
Muslims do not fight Christians, Jews or Hindus to force
them to become Muslims. Such forced conversion is clearly
forbidden in the Qur'an and even "extremists" like Shaykh
Osama are not trying to force anyone to change
religions.
 -
Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan are fighting American
troops not because they are Christians but because they are
occupiers. Similarly, in Kashmir and Chechnia, the fight is
against occupation, not against the religion of the
occupiers. In Pakistan and Somalia, the fight is against
regimes set up by America, not against "Muslims."
 -
We do not stand against Jews because they are Jews but
because they have occupied our land Palestine and are
controlling America's government, media, finance and
entertainment. Who would not be repulsed by Bernie the Jew
Madoff, the corrupt Rabbis, the purveyors of pornography,
the supporters of homosexuality?
 -
We Muslims are law abiding citizens and residents of
America. We do not break laws. In fact we help to
rehabilitate those whom America broke and who broke laws and
landed in prison. Look at how much Malcolm X did for this
country.
 -
We are answerable for ourselves. We must not accept blame
for what others do. We do not need to apologize for Major
Hasan or the Nigerian youth who wanted to bring down an
airliner over Detroit. We had nothing to do with these acts
of violence. The law says, everyone is innocent until proven
guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
 -
However, because we are part of the global Ummah of Islam,
we can help Americans understand why these things are
happening. The media say the Nigerian youth went to Yemen
and hooked up with al-Qaidah. What the media do not tell the
public is that USA, directly or through its lackeys in
Yemen, has been bombing Yemeni villages and killed 64 Yemeni
civilians, including 17 children and 23 women.
 -
Does the young Nigerian have something to do with horrific
events in Nigeria itself? In summer of this year, the
Nigerian military, backed, funded and organized by the US
[and perhaps Israel] slaughtered 600 Nigerian Muslims and
destroyed their mosques and Islamic schools. After the
carnage, Hillary Clinton went to Nigeria to show her support
for the military.
 -
Remember that the media are Zionist controlled and are
trying DAILY to smear and condemn the mujahideen. Bombs are
being exploded in Pakistani civilian populations and
immediately the blame is put on Islamic fighters by the
Zionist media.
 -
Try to understand the disinformation. The people support the
Taliban. The government wants people to oppose them. The
bombs explode and the media make an effort to pin it on the
Taliban. The purpose obviously is to undermine public
support. Why would the Islamic fighters kill their own
supporters? It's like what was done in Algeria: much too
late the regime's hand was discovered.
 -
From the Hadith, we must learn that SOURCES, EVIDENCE and
character and track record of the sources is important.
 -
Pray five times a day and pray on TIME. This is essential.
If water is not available, make tayamum. If place is not
available, pray with small gestures. [See Sahih Bukhari.].
In each rakat, we say Allahu Akbar [God is the greatest],
which is meant to take the fear of humans out of our
beings.
 -
Remember that our presence in America is part of Allah's
Plan and He is the best of Planners. There are 7 to 9
million of us here. We can defeat the evil forces
undermining this powerful nation, inshallah.
 -
Du'a': O Allah help the Muslims of this mosque to spread the
message of Islam. Help the Muslims of Baltimore to unite on
the Qur'an and the authentic Hadith, O Allah. Help the
Muslims of America to unite on the Qur'an and the Hadith, O Allah.

From Our Pakistan Observers:
Karachi, Pakistan in Flames: MQM and Regime Elements
Probably involved. Entire Markets Wiped Out.
Prelimnary Losses Estimated at Rs. 40 billion.
On December 28, 2009 a large Shi'te procession was hit by a
bomb explosion which killed 44 people and wounded 300. The
processionists went on the rampage attacking nearby shops,
cars, gas stations and offices. Immediately thereafter an
organized effort was made by gangsters and thugs to wipe
out the entire business area of old Karachi known as Boulton
market.
The fire brigades of the city waited for orders which came
late or did not come at all. In the meantime the economic
life blood of the city was going up in flames. The city is
run by a racist-gangster organization known as MQM which is
aligned to the Pakistani regime and the military. It was
either unwilling or unable to cope with the disaster which
enveloped the economic heartland of Pakistan.
The secularist media immediately claimed that the procession
had been bombed by a "suicide bomber" from the Taliban but
the remains of no such bomber have been found. Attempts to
blame the Pak Taliban were thwarted by the high command of
the Pak Taliban which categorically rejected responsibility
for the attack.
New Trend's observers say that Shi'ites have become
unpopular owing to their support for the military operations
in the north and connections to America and pro-US Shi'ites
in Iraq. Large Shi'ite processions are seen as provocative
by the population, like KKK marches in USA. Thus, our
observers say, an attack on Shi'ites cast suspicion on the
Taliban. However it was a move at deception; The real target
was Karachi and Karachi's markets burned for three days. MQM
is suspected owing to its pro-India links. Pakistan's
central government is also seen as soft on India and not
stopping the infiltration of Indian agents.

Letter: From New Trend reader, Cousin of Muslim Executed in
China: Why China did not Relent.
We forgot to emphasis that the only reason why there was a
lack of true action on the part of the British government
was because my cousin was a Muslim. Also the Chinese
authorities are notorious for their brutality towards the
Chinese Muslims. My cousin ws a muslim so they thought why
should we be lenient:

China Executed Muslim who needed Mental Therapy:
Islamic Law [Shariah], far superior to Chinese law and US
law, Forbids Punishment for Mentally Unstable Persons
[Jamaat al-Muslimeen's was the only voice to rise against
the execution from the Muslim world. China's barbaric act
was questioned by the British Foreign Office who did better
than Muslim rulers.]
[Excerpts from British papers follow].
URUMQI, China - Britain says China has executed a Briton
convicted of drug-smuggling after rejecting a string of
appeals from the British government and his relatives who
say the man was mentally unstable and unwittingly lured into
the crime.
The British Foreign Office issued a statement Tuesday
condemning the execution of 53-year-old Akmal Shaikh. He was
the first European citizen executed in China in half a
century.
Shaikh first learned his death sentence would be carried out
from his visiting cousins on Monday, who made a last-minute
plea for his life. They say he was mentally unstable and was
lured to China from a life on the street in Poland by men
playing on his dreams to record a pop song for world
peace.
Earlier Tuesday, China's supreme court approved the death
sentence, the Xinhua news agency said.
Shaikh's family and the British government had appealed for
clemency, arguing the former businessman suffers from
bipolar disorder.
The supreme court rejected the appeal saying there was
insufficient grounds, and that Shaikh himself did not
provide evidence of that.
Shaikh was still "hopeful" when relatives met him in Urumqi
this weekend, his cousin Soohail Shaikh told reporters at
the Beijing airport late on Monday night.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown last week asked China
not to execute Shaikh, who was born in Pakistan and moved to
Britain as a boy. While not leading to any diplomatic rift,
the case could harden public opinion in Britain against
China.
Tricked into smuggling?
Shaikh's defenders, including British rights group Reprieve,
which lobbies against the death penalty, say he was tricked
into smuggling the heroin by a gang who promised to make him
a pop star. Arrested in 2007, a Chinese court rejected his
final appeal on December 21.
Reprieve posted on the Internet a recording Shaikh made of a
song, "Come Little Rabbit," which it described as "dreadful"
but which Shaikh believed would be an international hit and
help bring about world peace.
He is the first European citizen to be executed in China
since 1951, Western rights groups say.
"The case has been processed in accordance with the law...
The defendant's litigation rights and legitimate treatment
have been fully granted," Chinese foreign ministry
spokeswoman Jiang Yu said last week, adding that drug
smuggling was considered a "grave crime"
internationally.
He was convicted in 2008 after a half-hour trial. In one
court appearance during his trial and appeal process, the
judges reportedly laughed at his rambling remarks.
Shaikh's cousin Nasir Shaikh said Akhmal asked him during a
prison visit Monday whether he had been mentioned by
Britain's Queen Elizabeth in her Christmas Day speech.
"These do not seem like the kind of ramblings of a sane
person fit to stand trial and ultimately receive a death
sentence," said Nasir Shaikh. "With maximum respect for the
People's Republic of China and for its laws and for its law
institutions and its people, we make the submission that
Akhmal be urgently granted a professional medical assessment
before it is too late."
Last-minute appeals are almost never granted in China, which
executes more people each year than all other countries
combined.
"Drug smuggling is a grave crime. The rights of the
defendant have been fully guaranteed," Chinese Foreign
Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a news conference last
week.
The cousins were given a bag of Shaikh's belongings
Monday.
Two British diplomats accompanied the cousins but said they
were not authorized to speak to journalists.
"The Prime Minister has intervened personally on a number of
occasions: He has raised the case with Premier Wen (Jiabao),
most recently at the Copenhagen summit; and has written
several times to President Hu (Jintao)," said an e-mail from
the British government.
In Beijing, British Embassy spokesman David Shaw said
confirmation that the execution had been carried out would
come from the Foreign Office in London.
Britain has accused Chinese officials of not taking Shaikh's
mental health concerns into account, with a proper
psychiatric evaluation, as required by law.
Attack on the Economy of Karachi, Pakistan by Indian Agents
Judicial probe into Ashura tragedy would expose MQM . . Munawar
JI Leader says Film of Attack does not show Taliban: US War
on Terror is a War on Islam. Pakistan must face Indian Threat.
Report to New Trend by Shamsuddin.
LAHORE, Dec. 31: The Ashura tragedy in Karachi was not a
suicide attack but an installed bomb blast, and a judicial
inquiry would only expose the MQM, Jamaat e Islami chief
Syed Munawar Hasan, said on Thursday.
Addressing a big "Go America Go" rally at Sahiwal, he
challenged the MQM chief Altaf Husain to show the Taliban in
the film prepared of the incident.
He deplored that MQM leader Altaf, a man sitting in London,
has enough agents to set the port city on fire as and when
he so desired. Munawar Hasan pointed out that within a
single night, provocative banners were put up all over
Karachi. These banners had already been ready and everything
was pre-planned, he said.
Syed Munawar Hasan asked President Zardari why the state
actors were absent while Karachi was passing through the sea
of fire and blood. Why did not the police and rangers
control the miscreants, he asked. President Zardari, he
said, was talking of dangers, but he should be sure that
there was no outer threat to democracy. Instead, it was the
undemocratic and irresponsible attitude of the government
that endangered democracy, he added.
The JI chief said, the cowardice of the rulers had resulted
in the US hold in the country. The war of terror is only a
war against Islam and the Muslims, he added. He wondered why
was the Pakistan government shy of dialogue with the Taliban
when the US was taking that course.
He said, the Indian army chief was suffering from war phobia
and was talking of killing 30 million Pakistanis within a
minute. On the other hand, the Pakistani army chief was
silent as the Pak army had been dragged into military
operation. He called for giving a befitting reply to the
Indian threats from political and military leadership at
this end.
He also counseled PCB chief Ejaz Butt not to beg for cricket
with India as the country needed independence and
sovereignty instead of cricket.
Photo below shows Syed Munawar Hasan addressing a mass rally
in Sahiwal against American intervention in Pakistan.
Tribute to Saddam Hussein: The Mujahid President who Accepted Martyrdom.
by Husayn Al-Kurdi [Chicago]
This is the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Iraq
President Saddam Hussein. It is an occasion to reflect on
his qualities and qualifications as the greatest of Arab
resisters and the most unwavering champion of the Arab
nation. We may do so by citing authoritative and eloquent
Islamic, Arab and even American sources, as well as the
words of the man himself, as he addressed Americans and his
fellow Iraqis from captivity and as he faced his
martyrdom.
We will begin with the Editor of the Islamic "New Trend",
Dr. Kaukab Siddique, who outlined and summarized Saddam's
heroic struggle in the following terms:
"Under the most severe sanctions and embargo in the history
of modern times, he kept the Iraqi people united and refused
to surrender Iraq's sovereignty...
"Saddam knew that the U.S. had decided to attack Iraq with
overwhelming military force but he refused to surrender.
Russia offered him a chance to spend the rest of his life in
luxury in a dacha in the Crimea but he refused.
"Owing to Saddam's persistent support for the Palestinian
people and for martyrdom operations against Israel, every
Zionist Jew in America, from professor to politician, raised
a storm of dirty propaganda against him. It was evident that
International Jewry would destroy Iraq.
"The choice before Saddam was to die like a lion or live
like a jackal. He decided to die like a lion.
"Famed U.S. novelist (Tom) Clancy, closely connected to the
military establishment, revealed that the U.S. tried to kill
Saddam 33 times during the sanctions decade before the
war.
"When the massive bombardment of Baghdad known as 'Shock and
Awe' began, the primary target was Saddam. A superpower was
trying to kill the President of a sovereign nation. Saddam
decided to go down fighting.
"When the U.S. actually captured Baghdad and occupied Iraq
with 135,000 heavily-armed troops with tremendous firepower,
Saddam went underground and continued to lead the
Resistance. The President had become the Mujahed, a first in
modern Arab history! Saddam's sons and his grandson went
down fighting against the occupation forces.
"After nearly nine months of fighting, the Americans
captured Saddam. Among his meager possessions was a little
notebook in which he kept account of every dollar he spent
in the Jihad. Such was his honesty.
"During the show trial which was held to 'convict' the
mujahid President, it became apparent that the charges
against him were bogus. His attorneys were terrorized and
the witnesses against him remained concealed. He stood
strong throughout the trial, constantly seeking inspiration
from the Qur'an and urging the Iraqi people to resist the
occupation.
"Finally the U.S. arrived at its pre-determined plan to
execute Saddam. This execution on 'Eid day was a slap in the
face of the entire Islamic world.
"Saddam went to his martyrdom with a demeanor which was so
calm, spiritual and full of the light of faith in Allah that
people could see what a martyr is like: unafraid, focused on
the honor of Iraq and the Arab and Muslim people and
admonishing his Shi'ite executioners about their shameful
behavior as agents of America."
Saddam's martyrdom inspired Layla Anwar, author of the
blog-site "Arab Woman Blues" to address him as in these
terms:
"Forgive me, Sir, I am not a very sophisticated woman. I
speak a simple language, the language of the heart. No one
hardly ever recognizes this dialect these days. But I have a
feeling that, despite all your alleged hardness, You
would.
"You know, my Dad before passing away said to me a few
sentences that have remained with me since. He said 'My
daughter, many things will come to pass in this life. You
will face many trials and many errors. One thing you need to
be certain of, though, don't ever lose your integrity or
your dignity. The day you sell those, you will have sold
your soul, and all is downhill from there.
"Sir, I am proud that you have not sold either. In that, you
have helped us preserve our own intact. As for the rest,
don't worry about them. They will end up cited as thugs,
profiteering, sectarian, opportunistic hypocrites.
" What pains me most is that they succeeded in massacring
yet another True Iraqi, a True Iraqi among many thousands.
And that is what you are."
Saddam addressed the American people directly from his
captivity in a handwritten letter dated July 7th, 2006, less
than six months before his martyrdom:
"People of America, I address you not from weakness nor as a
supplicant. I, my people, my brothers, comrades, my nation,
we address you on the basis of our moral and human
responsibility. I tell you that officials whom you know, and
first among them your President, lied to you and deceived
you and tricked you, using the media that portrayed Iraq to
you as incorrigible and Saddam Hussein as a hateful
dictator, and that his people hate him and are just waiting
for their chance to get at him. Some of them just wallowed
in lying falsehood to the point that they openly declared
that the Iraqis would meet the invading armies with roses
and celebration.
"I know that lots of people don't do a lot of analysis; they
don't have the time or the ability or the desire to do
careful assessments when presented with falsified news so as
to uncover the truth. The American people had no chance to
inquire, for example, why, if the people of Iraq hate Saddam
Hussein, how he managed to defeat the Iran of Khomeini after
eight years in the aggressive war that Iran sought to impose
on us under the slogan of exporting the revolution beginning
with Iraq? People of America, the victory over Khomeini's
Iran was not due to the short length of the war, but came
only after eight years of grinding warfare in which tens of
thousands fell, hundreds of thousands on the Iranian
side.
"If Saddam Hussein were a dictator, why did he establish a
parliament with elections for the first time in the year
1980 during wartime, when there had been no parliament in
Iraq since 1958? If he and his government were dictators,
how could he visit schools, universities, towns and villages
and spend the night with the people wherever the sun went
down? How could he travel around and lead at he battle front
during the day, even in the trenches in the front lines on
the battlefield among the Muslim soldiers?
"Yes, esteemed ladies and gentlemen, your government
deceived you, and you, or rather most of you, had no chance
to inquire of themselves or of others in order to discover
the truth because the Zionists in the lobby who advocated
the war together with some of the centers of power were
deceiving you and tricking you, hiding from your eyes the
real truth, exchanging the facts for falsified and slanted
information. Last but not least in this regard, if Saddam
Hussein were a dictator hated and despised by his people,
how is it that his people endured him and why was he chosen
President by referendum?
"People of America, the misfortunes that have afflicted you
and afflicted our Arab Nation and within it our heroic Iraqi
people, including the breakdown of America's standing and
reputation, were only caused by the reckless behavior of
your government and by pressure from Zionism and power
centers that influenced your government to commit those
crimes and scandalous actions for specific ends that have
nothing to do with the interests of the American people. The
massacres and the blood flows in the streets and countryside
of Iraq in torrents and the responsibility for that falls on
America before all others. You know, or rather you have now
come to learn, that neither the stooges whom the Americans
brought in on board their aircraft or as shamefaced presents
aboard their tanks, nor Iran, which pushed and still pushes
forward those who support it and whom they support, would be
able to cause the bloodshed or the destruction of the honor
and the
property of our people and our state had not America
undertaken the aggression and invasion and issued the
orders, It is still issuing orders in the Green Zone.
Therefore America bears the burden of all those crimes and
outrages. So, will you put an end to what is going on by
using the methods of direct truth without evasion and
digression, or will you invite the machine of death to
continue to eat away at the flesh of Iraqis and the flesh of
Americans without doing anything to resolve this?"
Jeff Archer, President of the Palestine Iraq Center,
distinguished American writer and investigative journalist
and author of the incomparable "The Mother of All Battles",
the authoritative book on the U.S. war against Iraq, brought
out many little-know facts about Saddam's Arab Ba'ath
Socialist Party-led government and its accomplishments in
the face of the obstacles imposed by Imperialist and Zionist
assaults. Besides the monumental advances in education,
literacy, medicine, housing, women's rights and the welfare
of children and the elderly, Archer noted:
"Many western observers are not aware that Saddam Hussein
was well-regarded in much of the world. Brazilians remember
that thousands of their countrymen were recruited by Saddam
to build the advanced highway and bridge systems that once
crisscrossed Iraq. Egyptians did not forget that two million
of their countrymen owned and worked land in Iraq prior to
January 1991.
"The Lebanese remembered the dozens of Iraqi trucks that
showed up daily at the Lebanese border during that country's
civil war. They were laden with food and clothing for any
Lebanese person in need. The convoys' recipients included
all Lebanese, not just certain factions of those battling in
the civil war. Most Palestinians display a picture of Saddam
Hussein on their walls. Over the years, many nations have
temporarily supported the Palestinian cause, only to
withdraw aid once threatened by the U.S. Saddam Hussein,
even during the embargo years, supported the Palestinians
with no exception, while other Arab regimes did not want to
get involved because they did not want to upset their
puppeteers in Washington and Tel Aviv."
In his Final Will, dated 26 December 2006, four days before
his execution, Saddam displayed his magnanimity and his
steely resolve and commitment to Iraq and the pursuit of
social justice and liberation. Speaking to the Iraqi people,
he exhorted them in the following fashion:
"The enemies of your country, whether they are invaders or
Persians, found that (your) unity prevented them from
enslaving you. Thus they drove their old-new wedge in the
midst of you and the foreigners with Iraqi nationality
responded; the hearts of these foreigners were wither
already full of hatred or the envious in Iran filled them
with hatred.
"They thought (that) they would vanquish you through sowing
division between you and the true sons of the people in
order to weaken the will and turn the sons of the country
against each other rather than turn them against the real
enemies. In order to confront the real enemies, we all have
to pull together, even if we act under different
banners...
"Brothers, mujahideen and fighters, I call on you to do
this, and to abandon malice, because malice does not leave
the one who harbors it any chance to be fair and just, and
because it closes the minds. Malice takes the one who
harbors it away from balanced thinking, correct choices,
avoiding what is wrong, and prevents him from seeing the
changes in the minds of those he thinks to be enemies,
especially the delinquent ones who repent and go back to the
true path, the path of the true people and the glorious
nation.
"Brothers and sisters, my sons and sons of Iraq, comrade
strugglers, I call on you not to hate the peoples of the
countries that have committed aggression on us. I call on
you to distinguish between the decision-makers and the
people. Hate only the deed. Even if someone's deeds deserve
to be fought, do not hate him as a human being. Do not hate
the individuals who do evil, hate only the evil deed itself,
and repel that evil as it deserves."
Layla Anwar summarizes the purport of Saddam's life,
struggle and martyrdom as he approached the hour of supreme
sacrifice:
"They say you were authoritarian and totalitarian. Come and
see them now. See their fascism infesting the streets. See
it in every neighborhood, see it in every corner. You said
Women are the pioneers of this Arab Ummah, come and look at
us now. Rape has replaced sexual intercourse, censorship has
replaced education and forced domestication has replaced
public life.
"You said Education is the sign of a Progressive Ummah. Our
schools and universities are empty, and our brains drained
and killed. You said Health is Free for all. Our hospitals
are dilapidated and our doctors in exile. You said Kurds are
our brothers, they are now trained as snipers by Israel. You
said Christians and Muslims are part of this mosaic called
Iraq. The Christians are fleeing by the thousands and the
churches are deserted.
"Look at me Sir. I am a product of this wonderful mosaic
called Iraq. I am half Muslim and half Christian, and the
Muslim half has Shi'as and if you dig hard enough you will
find Kurdish, Armenian, Turkish, Chaldean, Arabic roots all
the way back...
"Where is my place now Sir? You are about to find your place
soon, like a bird flying to nest into the arms of the sky,
while I am left behind waiting my turn, and in the meantime
searching, desperately searching for a place to rest my
tired head, and finding none.
"Sir, I heard they will execute You within 36 hours, in time
for the 'Eid, our sacrificial feast. You did say you are
willing to be sacrificed for Iraq. You still believe they
are worth it. I envy your Faith. May you go in Peace now, my
True Iraqi."
Such a one as Saddam Hussein will never die. He will always
live in the hearts and souls of the honest, suffering,
dispossessed people, wherever people face slavery and
oppression and whenever they fight for justice and dignity.
He will abide forever, long after the Bushes, Clintons,
Obamas and the predatory denizens of Congress, the Pentagon,
the CIA, the State Department and Wall Street have gone to
the final and lasting hell which they deserve, long after
the exploiters and oppressors and their minions have rotted
into oblivion.
Saddam Hussein will remain and endure as a shining light, an
immortal in the pantheon of the truly great, a testament and
an example to all that we could be, should be and need to be
if we indeed seek to better ourselves and our world.

The Americans Who Came to Pakistan and were Arrested on Info
from FBI via CAIR Violation of the Fundamental Rights and
The Constitution
by Khalid Khawaja [Pakistan]
It seems that 6 Americans who were picked up from Sargodha
have lost all their fundamental rights as a human beings. If
they were from black water, christians, jews, enlightened
moderates or infidels, the whole world would have created
havoc with our government and they would have been free the
first day, but just because they are known as committed
Muslims believing in Jehad, all the local and foreign
champions of human rights have become dumb about their
rights. Whether they have committed any crime or not, but
certainly the American government and our government have
committed the crime of violating the constitution by taking
away their following fundamental rights.
Sec.10/1 of chapter 1 says
10. Safeguards as to arrest and detention.
(1)
No person who is arrested shall be detained in custody
without being informed, as soon as may be, of the grounds
for such arrest, nor shall he be denied the right to consult
and be defended by a legal practitioner of his choice
These people were captured on 9th of December and until now
even the FIR has not been given in spite of the high court
order and they are not only absolutely denied the right to
consult and be defended by a legal practitioner but they
have not been given a chance to meet anybody and nobody
knows what is happening to them.
Sec. 10/2 of chapter 1 says
(2)
Every person who is arrested and detained in custody shall
be produced before a magistrate within a period of
twenty-four hours of such arrest, excluding the time
necessary for the journey from the place of arrest to the
court of the nearest magistrate, and no such person shall be
detained in custody beyond the said period without the
authority of a magistrate
These people were taken in custody on 9th December and were
not produced before any magistrate till 16th December after
the high court orders in my petition. They were certainly in
the illegal detention from about one week which is a clear
violation of their fundamental rights.
Sec 20 of chapter 1 says
These people claim to be muslims with a strong commitment to
Jehad. Their commitment to Jehad is being portrayed as a
crime although no muslim can claim to be a muslim without
believing in Jehad. Our government is over all dealing with
Jehad as if it is a crime and not differentiating between
Jehad and terrorism and anybody who believes in Jehad is
considered a terrorist which is an outright violation of
Sec.20.
Sec.25 says
As constitution says
Equality of citizens.
(1)
All citizens are equal before law and are entitled to equal
protection of law.
These people are being discriminated because of their
beliefs. There were many Americans arrested for committing
various crimes but immediately released because they were
not committed muslims and they have extra rights which are
supposed to be with no others.
These people were surely interrogated by American government
in first one week of their illegal detention, therefore
American government and our government both are responsible
for the violation of their human rights. I called Mr.
Richard the spokesman of American ambassador in Pakistan and
asked him to explain to me whether it was the official
policy of the American government to indulge in this kind of
discrimination with their citizens and completely deny all
human rights to muslims. He had no answer to my questions
but he promised that he will convey my concerns to the
ambassador but he never reverted back.
We Appeal to all Human Right NGO's and civil society
organizations specially in America to ensure that their
fellow citizens are not treated with discrimination and get
all the rights which are given to them in constitution of
America and Pakistan. Every body is supposed to be
considered innocent till proven guilty, at least their must
be some people in the world willing to help these
youngsters until they are really proven guilty.
If we start arresting only on the intentions than the
Interior Minister of Sindh Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza just yesterday
openly announced they wanted and planned to break Pakistan
and Hi-jack an aircraft. If these boys are to be treated
this way than what to be done with Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza as
constitution says.
25.
Equality of citizens.
(1)
All citizens are equal before law and are entitled to equal
protection of law.
It can be said that at least now they are being treated
according to law as they are on 20 days remand given by the
magistrate and than there are lot many ways to keep the
victims depriving them of all their fundamental rights as
was done with me, where as the constitution says.
