CHINA's UIGHUR MUSLIMS stopped from Fasting: 20,000 Chinese Troops in Urumqi

Reports from Epoch News, Canada, indicate that the Chinese government carried out various strategems to make it very difficult, if not impossible, for Muslims in Xingiang province to fast. Steps taken included mandatory meals to be taken during the day. Muslims seen to be fasting are fired from their jobs.

On September 4, there were demonstrations by Chinese Supremacist Han majority in Urumqi. The Hans called on the government to take more severe steps against the Muslims. Last time the Hans rallied against the Muslims, the Islamic demonstrators fought the Hans and thrashed them. This time the Hans were supported by the Chinese army which would not allow Muslim counter-demonstrations.

A Jamaat sister, Sis. Chekeisha El-Amin, has informed us of this shameful new Jewish venture against Muslims: Pervez Musharraf, former president of Pakistan, will speak on September 29 at 8 p.m. at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Meyerhoff is supposed to be a center of art and enterainment. Why would it host and honor a murderer and a killer? There is no explanation other than Jewish hatred of Islam and Pakistan.

Karima just returned from a trip to Colorado during which she and her son Khairi visited the Imam in the maximum security prison in Florence. In answer to Dr. Siddique's questions, Sis. Karima made the following points:

A Ramadan Fund to help fight Imam Jamil's case has been set up. I urge Muslims to donate $20,000 for this fund. This should not be difficult in Ramadan. If your mosque is collecting funds for parking lots and nice looking domes and turrets, please stop and put your money where it will make a difference. The Imam of America is in prison and Muslims are busy being misled into spending money on extras or even on the medical bills of one of their cult's leaders.

If 20 communities across America collect one thousand dollars each, there will be enough money to carry out the habeas corpus appeal. Why is this important? Notice that Muslims of America, especially African Americans, are leaderless. The government knows this and wants to keep Imam Jamil in prison on a bogus case which should have been thrown out long ago.

September 1, 2009: President Barack Obama hosted an iftar meal to honor Muslims and the holy month of Ramadan.

Among those present were Michael Oren, the Israeli ambassador to the USA, Ingrid Mattson, the President of a puppet Muslim organization known as ISNA [the so-called Islamic Society of North America] and Keith Ellison, the Muslim Congressman the Jews trust more than they do other Jews.

President Obama made some performa remarks about the importance of Muslims in America. He also told a couple of stories about the achievements of Muslims in America. One story was about a Muslim American who went and fought for America in Iraq and was killed there. Looks like the President made a blunder there which will offend Muslims in America and overseas too. His Jewish advisers, like Rahm Emmanuel and Axelrod. probably kept him in the dark about Islamic Law which makes it haram for any Muslim to fight as part of an imperialist non-Muslim army against Muslims.

It is understandable that Ingrid Mattson was there. ISNA is no longer pretending to be a Muslim organization in any way which could be linked to the Qur'an and the Hadith. She herself worked for years as part of a missionary organization in Hartford. Her boss was Israeli.

What is more surprising is the presence of the Israeli ambassador. What does the terrorist entity known as Israel have to do with Iftar? Perhaps Emmanuel and Axelrod have convinced President Obama that Israel is a Muslim country! After all some Arabs still live there as second class citizens, and bedouins being exploited by Israel are Muslims too.

Why did Obama hold the iftar party? Isn't he the commander in chief of the forces which are bombing Muslims in Afghanistan and Pakistan? Isn't he sending billions of dollars to Israel, the yearly dole or tax on Americans to keep Israel alive? Isn't he blocking Islamic rule in Somalia and northern Nigeria? Wasn't he pleased with the massacre of Muslims carried out by the U.S.backed-and-armed Nigerian army?

It is not improbable that Emmaneul and Axelrod have convinced Obama that Muslims are chumps. You can bomb their Islamic schools [medressas], you can kill their leaders and their people, you can honor their torturers like Hosni Mubarak, but as soon as you offer them iftar, they'll come running.

Israeli Jews Commit Daily Atrocities against Defenseless Palestinians: Sample from One Day

The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) strongly condemns the willful killing of a 15-year-old Palestinian child by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). The attack occurred yesterday, 31 August 2009, near the entrance of al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

According to investigations conduced by PCHR, at approximately 21:30 on Monday, 31 August 2009, IOF troops stationed at a military observation tower inside "Beit Eil" settlement, north of Ramallah, opened fire at five Palestinian children who were near al-Jalazon UNRWA School, located near the southeastern entrance of al-Jalazoun refugee camp. One of the children, 15-year-old Mohammed Riad Nayef 'Elayan, was wounded by three bullets to the chest. An ambulance from Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Ramallah attempted to reach the area. However, the ambulance was stopped by at least 30 soldiers who prevented the medical crew from attending to the wounded child. Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinian civilians gathered on the spot and attempted to help the wounded child, but Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the crowd. The ambulance driver, Usama Hassan Ibrahim al-Najjar, 37, was hit by a tear gas canister to the left leg. 'Ali Ahmed Mohammed Nakhla, 29, also sustained similar injuries

Military Death Squads Executed 250 "Suspected" Pak Taliban since July 13, 2009

September 3, 2009: In Swat, according to the BBC, more than 250 bodies of "suspected" Pak Taliban have been found since July 13 when the army started bringing back refugees displaced by the fighting. The killing seems to have been done execution style with the persons' hands tied behind their backs. Various Pakistani human rights groups have exptressed serious concern that the army is retaliating for its losses at the hands of the Taliban.

The bodies have seemingly been left behind by the army to be "discovered" by the returning refugees. The idea seems to be to terrorize the returnees so that they never again think of supporting the Pak Taliban. There are indications that the dead were "captured"by the army at random from homes from where any resistance was directed at the army.

General Athar Abbas, the Shi'ite spokesman of the army, vehemently denies the executions.

Islamic sources says that the numbers of those executed by the army is probably much larger as there are signs of mass graves in the areas "conquered" by the army.

Pak Army Clears way for NATO Re-supply: Public Resistance in Khyber Agency hit Hard. 43 Killed.

September 1 to 5, 2009: Pakistan military launched an all out attack on populations living in the Khyber agency [entry point into Afghanistan] suspected of supporting the Taliban. [See previous New Trend for attack on Torkhum military post.]

The people here are not Taliban but many of them support a local group known as Lashkare Islam and they carry light weapons, mostly antiquated.

The army targeted Lashkare Islam's headquaters and smashed it. The full weight of the military [helicopter gunships, tanks, heavy artillery] was delivered against the local groups. At least 43 people supporting the Laskare Islam have been killed.

At least 15 homes of local Islamic notables were set on fire by the army. [Home destruction is copied from Israel and violates international law.] .

The area has been cleared for re-supply of NATO. However, the local people may now join the Taliban and learn how to fight back.

15 NATO Supply Trucks Set on Fire

September 1, 2009: In Baluchistan, at the Chaman entry point into Afghanistan, a long line of large NATO re-supply trucks and containers were waiting for border bureaucracy to clear them when Pak Taliban raiders attacked. One of the trucks was set on fire. The fire spread to other trucks. By the end of the night, 15 of the bulky supply vehicles had been consumed by the flames.The Pak Taliban escaped.

August 31, 2009: In Mingora, the capital of Swat, a martyrdom operator sneaked over the compound wall of a police academy where Pak occupation forces were training new recruits. As the young man blew himself up, 16 of the cadets were killed and 8 wounded. The Pak regimime is very upset as it had announced that the Pak Taliban in Swat had been crushed.

Swedish Daily Hits Back at Critics of Israel Organ Harvest Story

A Swedish newspaper provoked outrage in Israel and drew condemnation from Sweden's ambassador on Wednesday after it ran a story on transplant organ theft, a report an Israeli official branded anti-Semitic "hate porn". The editor of Aftonbladet, Sweden's largest daily newspaper, hit back hard, at both Israel and at the Swedish envoy for attacking his paper's coverage. Donald Boström, the Swedish journalist whose article accusing Israel Defense Forces soldiers of killing Palestinians to obtain their organs evoked outrage, denied on Tuesday that he was motivated by anti-Semitism.

Afghanistan/Pakistan, Where Empires Go to Die - II

Under the pretext of responding to the September 11, 2001 attacks in America, the United and States and Great Britain invaded Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 under the banner of Operation Enduring Freedom. President Bush 41' told the American people that the US strikes were,

"...designed to disrupt the use of Afghanistan as a terrorist base of operations, and to attack the military capability of the Taliban regime...we will make it more difficult for the terror network to train new recruits and coordinate their evil plans. Initially, the terrorists may burrow deeper into caves and other entrenched hiding places...At the same time, the oppressed people of Afghanistan will know the generosity of America and our allies. As we strike military targets, we will also drop food, medicine and supplies to the starving and suffering men and women and children of Afghanistan ... "

I believe that this tactic was taken by the Obama team in order to placate the anti-Iraq contingent of the American electorate on the left while not leaving himself vulnerable to the "soft on defense" hawkish argument on the right. As a campaign tactic this approach proved to be successful. In reality, this may prove to be one of the greatest miscalculations President Obama has made. The real question here becomes, what's the best tactic to accomplish this end?

According to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, the situation in Afghanistan/Pakistan, "... is serious and it is deteriorating...the Taliban insurgency has gotten better, and more sophisticated, in their tactics..." To this end, according to the Defense Department, as of Tuesday, August 25, 2009, 724 members of the U.S. military had died in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan as a result of Operation Enduring Freedom. Of those, 548 troops were killed by hostile action.

The top American commander in the region, General Stanley A. McChrystal continues to work on a major war strategy review and has yet to request additional troops above those already added by President Obama. There are currently 57,000 American soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan, well below what that commanders need to "win in Afghanistan".

The military problem is also compounded by deteriorating political reality. As with the elections in Iran, voting irregularities and accusations of fraud in Afghanistan are raising political tensions and destabilizing the political infrastructure with the country and region. What could make the reported irregularities more problematic in Afghanistan than Iran are the ethnic divisions that run deep within their culture. President Karzi is a member of the Pashtun group. The Pashtun's control the south which is a stronghold of the Taliban. Karzai's major challenger Dr. Abdullah's support is based in the more peaceful north, which is dominated by Tajiks and other ethnic groups. If the basis of disenfranchisement is perceived to fall along ethnic lines, such divisions could be very difficult to resolve.

Since 2001, in spite of President Bush and now President Obama's noble speeches and military tactics, the US and its allies have not "disrupt(ed) the use of Afghanistan as a terrorist base of operations". The US has not been able to successfully "attack the military capability of the Taliban regime". President Obama and his advisors should learn from history, some ancient some modern, and not repeat it. This is the region of the world that has never been defeated militarily. It is where empires go to die. The Greeks, Indians, Persians, Mongolians, British, and Russians have tried to hold Afghanistan but never succeeded

While, according to Admiral Mullen, the insurgents tactics have "gotten better, and more sophisticated..." US tacticians remain mired in the same failed logic and processes. The US and its allies could "disrupt the use of Afghanistan as a terrorist base of operations, and attack the military capability of the Taliban regime..." if more of the oppressed people of Afghanistan came to "...know the generosity of America and our allies." If America actually dropped more "...food, medicine and supplies to the starving and suffering men and women and children of Afghanistan..." than munitions, political as well as military conflicts could be easier to resolve.

The problem with this solution is that those who fuel and promote the military industrial complex in America do not profit from the sale of humanitarian assistance. They profit from war. You can't win by just replacing Alexander the Greats war elephants with F-18 fighter jets and drones. This is why, if America is not smart, Afghanistan/Pakistan will once again be where empires go to die.

Why Is Saudi Arabia Coddling Dictator Musharraf?

It has just been announced that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has sent his private plane to pick up Dictator Musharraf from his London mansion to bring him to Saudi Arabia for talks.

We do not understand why King Abdullah would bring Musharraf, the Sharon of Pakistan (who together with his crony generals sold the country to U.S. imperialism, ran over the Constitution of the country, butchered and disappeared the people such as Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and is the most hated man in our country), to Saudi Arabia, unless this meeting was arranged by the CIA.

Saudi Arabia has always been there for the people of Pakistan, as well as the people of Palestine and of other Muslim countries, when they needed help financially. Therefore we are surprised at this act, which is a stab in the back to the people of Pakistan and a conspiracy designed to erode the solidarity that exists between the people of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

This is an insult to the movement that struggled for the last eight years against Musharraf to remove him as dictator. We demand that the Pakistani government protest this interference in Pakistan's internal affairs, as Musharraf's situation is currently before the courts as a serious violation of the Constitution. We also call on the opposition parties, especially the party of Nawaz Sharif, who had been a guest of King Abdullah in the hard times when he had been exiled by Dictator Musharraf, to join in this protest. Pakistan is a poor but honorable and independent country, with laws, courts, and a Constitution, and the feeling of its people must be respected.

We will be calling on members of the Pakistani community, and all those who love democracy and are against dictatorships, to come out to the Saudi Arabian consulates in protest.

We also ask the Saudi government to release the immigrant workers of Pakistan and other countries who have been manipulated into coming to work for high wages and then have been arrested for being without papers, as so many immigrants are arrested here in the U.S. We know that King Abdullah wants to modernize his country, and the Pakistan-USA Freedom Forum hope that the Saudi people will be able to form a civilized government, chosen by the people, rather than having to live under a family monarchy.

US Air Attack on Abandoned Oil Tankers Killed 125 Civilians Wounded 200: German Military Called in US Air Force

On September 3, 2009 a Taliban group hijacked two large oil tankers coming from Tajikistan into Kunduz [northern Afghanistan] to supply NATO occupation forces. Both drivers were killed in the shootout but when the Taliban tried to drive the big tankers off the road, they got stuck in the mud. Soon people from nearby villages gathered to look at the tankers. The Taliban opened up the valves of the trucks, allowed the villagers to take the expensive oil, and the Taliban left.

Within hours, the crowd of villagers grew to about 500 and they kept collecting oil into the night. At about 2.30 AM on September 4, the US air force F15Es bombed the tankers with 500 pound bombs, creating a ball of fire. The death toll is said to be high. The Karzai group which rules Kunduz with German military help has admitted 90 civilians killed and more than 200 wounded.

The German military which called in the air strike claimed right off that ALL those killed were Taliban. However, as reports from villagers and Karzai's local officials came in, it became clear that those killed were civilians. [The total Taliban force in Kunduz is estimated at less than 100.] [Taliban spokesman categorically stated that not one Talib was killed in the air strike.]

The UN has expressed concern that the US air force did not try to check the presence of civilians. Karzai himself is very worried. First he put the death toll at 40 as if that is low! The concern of both the UN and Karzai is that finally the people of Kunduz will join the Taliban. Already they have become much more hospitable to the Taliban than they were last year.
For truth in media. the most important report was from the villages where the air strike took place. Distributed by Associated Press, it was ignored by the US media. Here it is:

"Abdul Moman Omar Khel, member of the Kunduz provincial council and a native of the village where the airstrike happened, said about 500 people from surrounding villages swarmed the stricken trucks.

He said villagers told him insurgents had invited them to help themselves to the fuel.

"The Taliban called to the villagers 'Come take free fuel,'" he said, and the prospect of free fuel must have been irresistable. "The people are so hungry and poor."

He said five people were killed from a single family, and a man he knows named Haji Gul Bhuddin lost three sons."

[New Trend comments: Our observers say that US attacks on civilians are not mistakes or blunders. The US does not admit it openly on but it knows that the people of Afghanistan support the Taliban. US attacks on civilians should be seen as state terrorism meant to intimidate Afghans and warn them against siding with the Taliban. The US, with its Zionist media people and bloodthirsty bureaucrats like Secretary Gates and General Petraeus and "ambassador" Holbrooke do not tell Obama that they can't intimidate Afghans. The Taliban are Islamic fighters and terrorism by air force will only infuriate them.
Also, why is the GERMAN MILITARY in Afghanistan? Karzai Intelligence Official involved in Torture, Rape and Murder Killed in Taliban Martyrdom Attack

Sept. 2, 2009. At Mehterlam, in Laghman province east of Kabul, a martyrdom operator successfully breached security, entered a group of Karzai officials and hangers on and killed 22 people. The target of the attack, Abdullah Laghmani, along with three of his top 'intelligence service' bosses, was among those killed. Mr. Laghmani was known for his atrocities against Taliban prisoners and persons suspected of supporting the Taliban. Earlier, he was in charge of Karzai's administration in Kandahar where he became notorious for the rape, torture and murder of Islamic opponents. Kandahar is the stronghold of Mullah Omar's supporters.

Our observers say Karzai officials use religion as a cover for supporting NATO's occupation. Abdullah Laghmani was preparing to inaugurate a mosque when the attack took place. The idea that one can pray and fast and still be linked to imperialist occupation forces is not discussed by Karzai's propaganda machine but it does discredit him and his men.
