November 13: In New York, an 18 year old African American youth was shot and killed by 5 police officers. The police fired 20 shots and then "arrested" and shackled him. He was holding a hair brush [common among Black youths]. The police claimed they thought thought he had a gun. The corporate media immediately started publishing the police version of the event and blaming the victim. CNN played a dirty role in this reporting. [On November 16, Rev. Sharpton and others will hold a big rally at the "Justice" Department in Washington DC to protest the steady stream of crimes against Black people commonplace at police hands in USA's major cities.] Racism continues to be a major problem in America.

November 14: At Vancouver airport in Canada , an immigrant from Poland was tasered by the RCMP, Canada's notorious thuggish police force. He was reportedly hit 4 times by the RCMP thugs with tasers transmitting 50,000 kilowatts of electricity in each shot. The victim screamed repeatedly and went down dead. The police thugs SAT ON HIM while his body was squirming with pain.
The whole tragedy was caught on video by a woman who had been looking at the immigrant's antics. He did not know English and had been stuck in the wrong room at the airport for TEN hours. He became frustrated, started shouting and slammed some light furniture on the ground. That's when the RCMP moved in.

General Musharraf is the most hated person in Pakistan today. America's main man in Pakistan has been defeated by the great sacrifices of the Pakistani people under the leadership of the Islamic movement.
Owing to their defeat, the forces of kufr and tughyan are trying to replace Musharraf with another person of their choice.
This is a historic moment for Pakistan . At this time the armed forces of Pakistan must prove that they belong to Pakistan and to Islam and not to a foreign power.

In a second Islamic ruling [Fatwa], Jamaat al-Muslimeen leader Imam Badi Ali urged the Palestinian people to unite:

Under Islamic Law, unity of the Palestinian people against the Zionist enemy is required.
Yasir Arafat is a national legend. He does not belong to any one group. Hence the attempt to use the rally in Gaza to abuse and attack Hamas was certainly a Zionist ploy.
We urge the Palestinian people to remember that that they are in the land of revelations from Allah sent to Moses and Jesus, peace be on them, and Masjid al-Aqsa which is exalted by its reference in the Qur'an.
Everything which happens in Gaza or any other part of Palestine affects not only all Palestinians and all Arabs but the entire Muslim world.
We urge the people and their leaders not to issue hasty and rash statements.

Remember Masaud Khan who was sentenced to 90 years in prison by an American judge for allegedly visiting a "militant" camp in Pakistan ? Now we find that his family has been harassed in a peculiar new way the Bush administration has cooked up. It was noted earlier that the bank accounts of Lisa Abdel Sattar [in New York ] were closed down. That led to the discovery by our rep that Masaud Khan's mother, Elisabeth, and her entire family have had their accounts similarly closed down by Citibank.
This mistreatment of the family of a prisoner speak of Stalinist and Zionist behavior. Sis. Elisabeth, a White Muslimah, and her family are citizens of the U.S. and have not been charged with anything. They have had this account for many years. This bank action is a secret violation of her rights as a citizen. The bank refused to give any explanation for its behavior.
Time has passed since this happened: She was perhaps too stunned to do anything about it. It is our duty as a Muslim community not to be silent about this violation. This arrogant oppression must be protested.

On November 14, during his morning rush hour radio program on WPFW, Br. Hodari Ali had Dr. Kaukab Siddique speak at 7 AM and questioned him about the latest situation in Pakistan. Br. Hodari's live radio program reaches an important audience, the highly politicized people of Washington , DC. The main points Dr. Siddique made are as follows:

Musharraf has been thwarted by the Islamic movement in Pakistan. In the north he faces a popular armed uprising. In the cities, he is the most unpopular person.
Instead of letting the Pakistani people achieve their Islamic aspirations, the U.S. is trying to thwart them by sending in Benazir Bhutto to create a fake civilian "democratic" front for Bush's hegemonic program.
The corporate media in America are presenting Benazir as THE opposition. They ignore the fact that she is feudalist and has been extremely corrupt when she had a chance to rule. She is very unpopular but is trying to feed off the general frustration with Musharraf in the hope that people will follow her to get rid of Mush. Benazir will be working for the U.S., not for Pakistan or Islam.
If Mush doesn't want to go, then we'll have a Saddam or Somoza type of situation with Bush trying to get rid of his own man. Another general is already waiting in the wings.
The Islamic resistance in the northern areas is giving a hard time to the Pakistani military. The situation could develop in a direction where the U.S. would send its own troops into Waziristan.
The result would be a major upheaval because Islam is much stronger in Pakistan than it is in Iraq.
Behind the American moves is Israel which wants to sabotage Pakistan 's nuclear program. American moves are in fact Israeli moves.

Canada's Shame: Innocent in Prison for 17 months on a Fake Case: Wife, Sis. Cheryfa, Fought back

On November 5, 2007 Abdul Qayyum Jamal, 44, a laborer from Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto, was released on bail after charges of a bomb plot against him were dropped. He was held in prison, under severe conditions, for 17 months.

He will be brought back to court once the trial of 16 other young Canadian Muslims begins. Canada 's justice is a big farce; hence the Muslims will continue to be held till the government has stitched together some kind of a story to try and convict the youths.

Jamal's wife Cheryfa, a convert to Islam from Nova Scotia [east coast of Canada ] played a key role in raising funds for his bail. On her blog, she has been urging Muslims not to be faint hearted. She is jubilant that her efforts led to Jamal's release. There has been an overflow of funds to her for the prisoners and she says she will use the funds when the other 16 Muslims need bail money.

The most ridiculous part of the story is that USA Security took the fake Canadian story about Jamal as the literal truth. Even the anti-Muslim Globe and Mail paper had to eat humble pie and wrote: [Don't laugh!]

'The New York Police Department recently mentioned Mr. Jamal as an important case study in an intelligence report that was widely circulated this summer. The report was titled "Radicalization in the West: The Homegrown Threat." [Globe and Mail November 6]

British Leaders' Massive Program to Stop Steady Growth of Islam in U.K. : Gordon and Cameron Highlight Racist Hate Agenda

November 14, 2007. In the House of Commons, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and opposition [Conservative] leader David Cameron agreed on an agenda against Islam which, when implemented, would make Stalin and Sharon proud. Here are some of the highlights:

Purge of all literature available in libraries. If it is Islamic it should be seen as "inflammatory."
Surveillance of youth clubs and sports organizations [Islam is a problem in all social institutions]. Purges needed.
Young Muslims are a real threat to the British power structure. They must be kept on the radar.
"Pre-charge detentions" are being used on a big scale in Britain . It means a Muslim can be arrested even though there is no charge against him/her. The charge can be brought AFTER the detention and interrogation.
"Post-detention" hearings are also in vogue, which means after a Muslim is charged, he/she can be interrogated further so that more charges can be brought and others can be involved.
Bootlicker groups [comparable to ISNA, CAIR and MAS in America ] are being organized/pushed/pressured into forming coalitions so that "extremists" can be isolated. These collaborators recently issued a broad declaration against "extremists," thus showing that they are loyal servants of the oppressors and willing to help the rulers divide the Muslims. [Comparable to statements by Johari Abdul-Malik and Mahdi Bray on C-Span.]
Mosques and the entire system of Imams need to be re-formulated. Gordon and Cameron want mosques to preach a tame British version of "Islam."
An " extremist" is one who supports the people of Palestine, Kashmir , Chechnya , Afghanistan , Iraq , Sudan and Somalia. A "terrorist" [potentially] is one who says, let us discuss and try to understand why London underground trains were bombed on 7/7 in response to the British military occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and British support for Israel.
Specifically, Cameron wants Hizb-ut-Tahrir and Hizbullah supporters to be banned [arrested?] but Gordon says evidence is lacking.
Shaikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi is a terrorist [supporter] according to Cameron as is the producer of Al-Manar pro-Iran TV in Lebanon. Gordon is not too sure about this. The two men differ on these two points.

Dubai Deports 30 of Dr. Israr's Students for Qur'anic Study Group

The News International of Karachi, Pakistan reported that the government of the United Arab Emirates [UAE] arrested 70 Pakistanis in May 2007. In July 30 of them were deported. They were accused of congregating in their homes to study and discuss the interpretation of the Qur'an by the famous [very conservative] Pakistani scholar Dr. Israr Ahmed.

The local leader of Dr. Israr's Tanzeem in Dubai told the News that mass deportations are feared because UAE sees Dr. Israr's writings as a threat which could lead to "Talibanization of Dubai."

The extent of censorship in Dubai can be understood from the fact that this news took more than 3 months to be broadcast. The UAE rulers are linked to the U.S. and [in secret but in detail] to Israel.

PAKISTAN in TURMOIL

Jamaat-e-Islami's Rallies Broken up, Bhutto's "Long March" faced Police Action, Imran Khan Roughed up by IJT rogues in Bizarre incident at Punjab University

Pakistani courts are empty. Countless lawyers are in Musharraf's prisons. The police brutalization of lawyers, telecast around the world, has humiliated Pakistanis overseas.

Benazir Bhutto has stiffened her stance and is now [November 14] calling on Musharraf to step down. Hundreds of her supporters, including 37 women leaders, have been imprisoned. By and large her party members have not been treated harshly.

On November 13, Jamaat-e-Islami's public rally in Peshawar against Musharraf's emergency rule faced a barbaric rampage by hundreds of policemen. However, some of the protestors came back after running away and clashed with police in the side streets. The crowds managed to shield Jamaat leader Sirajul Haqq from the police while he gave a speech condemning Musharraf's unconstitutional activities.

In Karachi too the police attacked Jamaat-e-Islami's rally and arrested 11 leaders and beat up participants. A Jamaat leader at a reception being held at Premier College was attacked by gangsters from the ethnic group known as MQM. Asadullah Bhutto, a JI leader [not related to Benazir] suffered knife injuries in the attack. Jamaat-e-Islami's 12 offices across Karachi were attacked and ransacked by police who arrested scores of JI activists.

In Lahore , November 14, a bizarre incident marred the unity of the opposition to Musharraf. It appears that some elements of Islami Jamiate Talaba [IJT], a student group allied to Jamaat-e-Islami, attacked Imran Khan, the popular leader of Tehreeke Insaf when he visited Punjab University . They "arrested" him and handed him over to the police. Students supporting Imran Khan tried to free him and an extensive clash occurred between the two groups of students. A Jamaat-e-Islami leader came to stop his supposed allies from their misbehavior with Imran but was insulted and told to leave by his "own" students. As the news spread, top Jamaat-e-Islami leaders, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Syed Munawar Hasan [under house arrest] and others strongly condemned the action by IJT against Imran and sent a delegation to his home to express sorrow. [Observers say, it appears, that the regime has successfully infiltrated Punjab University 's branch of IJT.]

Lahore , November 15: Crowds of people including large numbers of women rallied to protest Imran Khan's arrest. The police smashed the rally and dragged away the women to dump them in police cars. The governor of Punjab is behind these heavy handed methods. Tehreeke Insaf announced that the Punjab University attack on Imran was carried out by government agents. The unity of Insaf with Jamaat-e-Islami will not be affected by this sneak attack, Insaf stated.

Karachi , November 15: Young people supporting Benazir Bhutto in the Lyari area were ruthlessly attacked by police and beaten up. Late reports say that the police opened fire killing two people.

WAR NEWS: Pakistan Army Surrounds Swat, Launches Air Attacks: 66 Killed

November 8: Sixty paramilitary troops known as Frontier Constabulary surrendered to the Islamic forces active in Swat, in the Matta area. On November 9 they were released, given Rs. 1000 each and sent home. They left their weapons behind.

November 12, 13, 14, 15: In a major mobilization, thousands of Pakistan 's elite army troops carried out an enveloping movement to control all the key points of entry into Swat. Most of Swat, a highly scenic region in the north, popular among tourists, is in the hands of Islamic fighters of Nifaze Shariat led by Maulvi Fazlullah with big public support. However the Islamists are lightly armed and no match for Pakistan 's heavily armed and rigorously trained elite army units.

Pakistani helicopters started attacking the Islamic positions in the hills on November 12. Four mujahideen were killed and 3 wounded in these initial attacks.

On November 13, Pakistani heavy artillery joined the assault on the Islamic positions. At least 20 people were killed in the shelling including some "militants."

On November 14, helicopter gunships moved around ahead of the advancing military looking for anything which moved. They shot at a speeding wagon which fell into a ravine killing all 16 tribesmen in it. Another 26 people, including civilians and "militants" were killed as the helicopter attacks continued.

On November 15, the army surrounded Maulvi Fazlullah's village. The Maulvi announced that the people will fight back and will start guerrilla warfare if necessary.

IRAQ: Keeping the War Away from the American Public: "Surge" Ends Without Victory

November 16, 2007: According to official U.S. figures [see "casualties"] 22 U.S. troops have been killed and 77 wounded in the first 14 days of November. However the mainstream media have completely blanked out coverage of the war as if it is not part of the daily news. The "surge" by 30,000 extra U.S. troops has ended unsuccessfully. Large areas of Iraq are reportedly still under al-Qaeda control. Other areas are controlled by Sunni "insurgents." The Shia areas are largely under the control of rival Shia militias. There are reports of clashes between Al-Qaeda in Iraq and some Sunnis who have apparently joined the U.S. side in the hope of receiving large sums of money and new weapons. They have suffered heavily at the hands of Al-Qaeda and in turn have helped the U.S. kill scores of Al-Qaeda [all are Iraqis].

Large areas of Baghdad have been cleansed of Sunnis by Shia militias. During the last one year, hundreds of thousands of Sunnis fled to Fallujah and other cities in the west after Shiite death squads killed hundreds. The U.S. helped in the cleansing of Sunnis by arresting people en masse and putting them in a concentration camp.

On November 7, 2007 FOX TV reported that the U.S. released 500 of these Iraqis but is "still holding 25,800, of whom 17,000 are from Baghdad."

Al-Qaeda-in-Iraq seems to be strongest in Diyala province and the Mosul area as well as in various other areas. U.S. forces are no longer trying to force their way into Sunni strongholds and are keeping to their fortresses and bases. Hence the fighting has tapered off to some extent.

Iraqi suffering is extremely high and millions have left their homes.

On November 5, U.S. marines withdrew from Fallujah but will remain in the surrounding areas in case Al-Qaeda tries to retake the city.

Poland's President Lech Kaczynski paid homage Friday to thousands of Polish soldiers who were killed in the Soviet Union after being captured by the invading Red Army in World War II. In a ceremony at the tomb of the unknown soldier in central Warsaw , Kaczynski awarded posthumous promotions to the 22,500 members of the military who in 1940 were massacred in the notorious Katyn forest and other areas. "This is an act of remembrance for our heroes, their families and the entire nation," Kaczynski said.

Katyn Forest is a wooded area near Gneizdovo village, a short distance from Smolensk in Russia where, in 1940 on Stalin's orders, the NKVD shot and buried over 4,000 Polish service personnel that had been taken prisoner when the Soviet Union invaded Poland in September 1939 ... In 1943 the Nazis exhumed the Polish dead and blamed the Soviets. In 1944, having retaken the Katyn area from the Nazis, the Soviets exhumed the Polish dead again and blamed the Nazis ... In 1989, with the collapse of Soviet Power, Gorbachev finally admitted that the Soviet NKVD had executed the Poles, and confirmed two other burial sites similar to the site at Katyn.
