SMILE: Senator Lieberman called for the greater use of
surveillance cameras in America because, he claimed, cameras
had uncovered the recent "doctors' plot" in UK.

Lieberman, who is said to be more Israeli than American, is
dead wrong. The so-called doctors' plot was not uncovered by
cameras but by the chance "discovery" of rigged vehicles.
This man seriously wants to curtail the rights of Americans.

July 5, 6 and 7, 2007: Day 3, 4 and 5 of the siege:
[July 8 in USA] Pakistan army's artillery scored a direct hit
on the fuel storage of Lal Masjid just as this report was
being prepared. The explosion could be heard for miles in
the terrorized city.
Pakistan's history is changing even as we write this. For the
first time in Pakistan's history, an Islamic women's
university and a mosque are under attack, in the country's
capital, by the Pakistani army, funded and armed by the U.S.
Numerous times, in these three days, Pakistani troops edged
closer to the Islamic complex only to be repelled by vigilant
young Muslims guarding the perimeter. The entire area, the
size of a small town, around the Islamic university and
mosque has been cordoned off by the army. Water and
electricity to the entire area were cut off by Musharraf's
police and support forces. Now the services, though meager,
are being restored to some areas of the city. The population
was punished for supporting Jamia Hafsa.
The government media tried very hard to discredit Maulana
Abdul Aziz, the khateeb of Lal Masjid, who was arrested by
police as he stepped out to say farewell to departing
students. Pakistani intelligence turned out to be good at
disinformation. They staged an entire "interview" on
government controlled TV [PTV] in which a look alike of
Maulana Abdul Aziz was shown wearing a burqa which he then
took off, on camera, to the amusement of the audience. Many
were fooled, including the MMA buffoon Maulana Fazlur Rahman
and the Dawn columnist Ayaz Mir.
However, one Pakistani group published a comparison of the
photos of Maulana Abdul Aziz with those of the man in the
interview. The difference is quite distinct. Here is the link:

ABDUR RASHID GHAZI and UMM HASAN used modern technology [cell
phones] to contact a private TV station, Geo, to contradict
Musharraf's propaganda. The government then got into the
action to try psychological propaganda against the two using
the same channel, Geo, while the interviews were going on.
All kinds of "offers" were made if only the two were
to surrender.
It appears that the young women inside the Islamic school do
not want to leave though they are free to go. In one instance,
the parents of a girl came to fetch her. She said that she
would be willing to go for a short while with the parents if
they pledged to bring her back. When she was told, she won't
be able to return, she refused.
Abdur Rashid Ghazi's daughter, mother, sister and
sister-in-law are with him in the besieged mosque urging
him to continue in Allah's way. Umm Hasan's interview with
Geo was so fiery [July 6] that the TV station refused to air
it and gave only an outline.
In Islamic history, we have an original of this tragic
situation. Abdullah ibn Zubair, r.a., was attacked by the
Ummayad king's powerful army even when he took refuge in the
Ka'aba. His mother Asma, r.a., [daughter of Abu Bakr, r.a.]
told him to keep fighting regardless of the odds if he was
fighting in Allah's way. Today another satanic king,
America's bootlicker, the scum of Pakistani military is
trying to kill Abdur Rashid Ghazi even in the sanctuary of
the mosque. [A red mosque, very symbolic in Islam, the color
of Ayesha Siddiqa's [r.a.] outer garment.]

POETRY FROM/ABOUT the TRAGEDY of ISLAMABAD
Though not appropriate for America, this will be of great
interest for Pakistani readers and for readers from Pakistan.
We have received a number of poems about the tragedy of
Islamabad where General Musharraf used 10,000 troops to
attack an Islamic women's university and a mosque which was
trying to end the corruption of Musharraf's officials.
The most powerful poem, from Islamic viewpoint, is in Urdu.
We'll try to translate it as far as possible:

shelling like Sumayya [for martyrdom]

Pakistanis! Are you wearing bangles! But even as I say this,
I realize,
Those who wear bangles turned out to be more perseverant and
courageous than men!

"Arise and awaken the poor masses of my world!
Let the palaces of the rulers and the mansions of the
rich tremble!"

Editor: Please say "Allah be pleased with her" after the names
of the great women of the era of the Prophet, pbuh, mentioned
in the poem: Ayesha, r.a., Asma, r.a., Umm Ammara, r.a.,
Sumayya, r.a.
The final two lines are probably in quotation marks because
they are from a famous poem by Allama Iqbal, the Poet of
the East.

Outreach: Breaking the Silence about Musharraf's Attack on
Women in Islamabad.
Two Attempts Made to stop distribution by Pak. nationalists
July 6, 2007: Muslim Community Center [MCC] located in Silver
Spring, Maryland attracts worshippers from elite segments of
the Muslim community, particularly from Pakistan, Bangladesh,
India, Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast and a sprinkling of
African-Americans and Arabs.
After Juma' prayers Jamaat al-Muslimeen distributed literature
about the massive siege America's General Musharraf is
carrying out in Islamabad, Pakistan, with 10,000 Pakistan
mercenaries armed by the USA targeting an Islamic women's
university, Jamia Hafsa, and the famous Lal Masjid which
supports women's rights.
The literature included an extensive report on a Libyan
prisoner in Guantanamo, Abdul Rao'uf al-Qassim, marrried to
an Afghan woman, also sold to the USA by Musharraf, who is
on the point of being handed over to the murderous Qaddafi
regime notorious for its oppression of Islamic activists. A
report on he Mumia Jamal rally in Philadelphia [July 4]
was included.
After the literature had been given to 100 people, there was
trouble from a couple of Pakistanis. One person, looking very
Islamic, sort of like the older ICNA-types, small white beard,
white kurta pyjama, thought we needed his permission for
distribution. It didn't work for him.
The next disturbance came from an MQM type Pakistani
[Urdu-speaking racist] with a big moustachio. He claimed that
the literature insulted his country [Pakistan]. He started
shouting, calling for a stop to the distribution.
Alhamdulillah, his shouting did not get any support from
the worshippers.
There were also some very nice encounters, one with an elderly
gentleman from Bangladesh who has done the Hajj and the Umrah.
He made du'a for us, alhamdulillah.

there will be a worldwide remembrance for sister Abeer Qassim
Hamza, her family and the other victims of the Iraq war
insha'Allah. For those who do not know, sister Abeer Qassim
Hamza was (in 2006) gang raped by US troops who then killed
her and set her body on fire; she was 14 years old at the
time. They also murdered her parents and 7 year old sister
during this incident.
Please do what you can to let everyone know about this

Abeer Qassim Hamza al-Janabi was a 14-year old Iraqi
girl who lived in the village of Mahmoudiyah southeast of
Baghdad. She was gang-raped, killed and burned by American
troops. Her parents and her younger sister were also shot and
killed. Initial details published by the American media
incorrectly and repeatedly reported Abeer’s age as 25. Her
case has come to symbolize the brutality and animalism of the
U.S. occupation.

Prof. Anwar Ul Haque, Chairman Pakistan Medical Organization
(PMO) has held Pervez Musharraf responsible for all killings
in Lal Masjid in Islamabad. He said over 100 innocent human
beings have been killed so far. More than 30 bodies of female
students and 50 male students are lying without coffin and
proper burial in Hafsa Madressa and Lal Masjid respectively.
Many of these peoples’ precious lives could have been saved
had Pervez Musharraf allowed medical personnel to enter Lal
Masjid and provide the required medical treatment. Even now
there are over 100 patients in critical conditions there but
Pakistan's coward and ruthless Military Dictator is not
allowing medical personnel to enter Lal Masjid. He said by
imposing curfew and not allowing doctors working at Pakistan
Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic, Pervez
Musharraf has caused significant miseries to the patients
admitted there.
Prof. Anwar Ul Haque said that many acts of terrorism in
Pakistan are masterminded by him and his notorious mafias.
He appealed to entire medical community to condemn Pervez
Musharraf's dictatorial and inhumane acts which are breeding
more violence, terrorism and hatred towards Western word. He
asked medical community to come forward and provide necessary
medical help to the injured patients in Lal Masjid. He also
condemned arrest of injured students from Poly clinic saying
that it was against medical ethics. He said if people reacted
in kind, no minister and no Government official will be able
to get help in any hospital.
Prof. Anwar Ul Haque demanded that dead bodies must be allowed
to be buried according to Islamic respect and honor. He said
more than 30 bodies of female students and 50 dead bodies are
lying in Hafsa Madressa and Lal Masjid respectively. He said
that if Government allowed, PMO will take care of all injured
patients Insha Allah and bring out the bodies to be buried in
F 9 Park. Islamabad.
He requested Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice of these
gross violations of human rights. He said that Pervaiz
Musharraf be tried for cold blood murder of 50 innocent human
beings on May 12, 2007 in Karachi and now over 100 innocent
human beings in Islamabad.
Prof. Anwar Ul Haque said that doctors do not discriminate their
patients on the basis of religion, nationality, demography,
profession, color, race, gender etc. Each and every doctor is
ethically and morally bound to render treatment to any needy
patient. He said there is no terrorism in Islam and no sane
true Muslim can participate in any terrorist activity. Prof.
Anwar Ul Haque said that all terrorist attacks on civilians
must be stopped immediately. He said that Pakistan's military
terrorist dictator is acting as Lord Mountbatten. His clan of
extremely corrupt and incompetent ministers, advisors and
allied mafia feel that they are the genuine heirs of British
colonists. Instead of serving people of Pakistan, they are
acting as the most obedient servants for their foreign masters.
Prof. Anwar Ul Haque said that Pervezi Mafia must close all
brothel houses and massage parlors as these are creating a
lot of mental and psychological illnesses apart from violence
and other crimes. He requested Chinese Government to respect
Islamic values and call back all its citizens who are engaged
in immoral and unethical activities. He demanded that those
Chinese authorities be punished who beheaded those Chinese
students in time of Nawaz Sharif, who came to Pakistan for
acquiring Islamic education. He said Chinese are generally
respected and loved by Pakistanis; however such actins will
create hatred and will make it difficult for them to work in
different parts of Pakistan. He said good and cordial
relations between Chinese and Pakistani citizens must not
be spoiled. .
