Making Five Prayers Every Day in America:
Question from Sis. Tahira .....: [Translated from Urdu.]
I have problem making five prayers as ordered by Islam.
I am at work during Zuhr and Asr, and at Mahgrib I am
travelling. I am looking for answers. Maulana Maudoodi
once advised someone to combine Zuhr and Asr. Some Arab
Muslims make Maghrib and then qaza of zuhr and Asr. our
Shia brothers combine Zuhr and Asr. What does islam say?
Please give proof for your answers?
Answer by Kaukab Siddique:
For a daily routine, there is no permission in Islam
for combining prayers or for making qaza at a later
time. What scholars and sects say does not matter. The
Qur'an comes first. It says:
"... Salat [formal prayer] is obligatory on
believers at the stated times." [The Qur'an 4: 103]
I am sure you know, dear sister, that Salat [obligatory
prayer] creates that frame of reference required by Islam
for the development of the Islamic way of life. Allah has
commanded us to pray "at the stated times." Combining
prayers and making qaza for missed prayers is allowed as
exceptions to the rule, not for the daily routine of life.
If I am at work every day during Zuhr and Asr and am
travelling during maghrib, I cannot simply forget the rule
about praying "at the stated times."
Here are the solutions:
1. Find a job where one can establish prayers on time.
[This is not practical for most people because America is
not a Muslim country.}
2. Ask your employer for time out to pray "at the stated
times." This may be feasible for good numbers of people
but not for many others. In post 9.11 America, it could
create problems of prejudice and excuses to fire the
employee. Even if the job allows you to pray, often an
important meeting might be going on during prayer time
and you might not be able to leave for prayers.
3. The answer to this issue can be found in the Hadith
of the Prophet, pbuh. He taught one worshipper who had
a medical problem,piles, as follows:
"You can pray standing up, if that is not possible, then
sitting down, and if even that is not possible, then
lying down on one side."
[Hadith, Sahih Bukhari, abwab taqseer as salaat.]
There are indications in Hadith that the Prophet, pbuh,
prayed nafl prayers sometimes on a camel, by
gestures, and the camel was constantly changing its
direction. [Comparable to travel in a car today.] For
obligatory prayer, some Hadith say, he would get off
the camel. However, other Hadith simply indicate him
praying [making salat] on a camel by using gestures,
and the Hadith does not say that it was nafl prayer:
" From Abdullah ibn 'Umar, r.a., that the messenger of
Allah, pbuh, used to pray on a camel during travel and
he would face the direction the camel was facing."
[Hadith, Muwatta of Imam Malik.]
Thus, dear sister, I would advise you to pray when
it is time to pray, as commanded in the Qur'an,
and do not put it off.
The Case of the 'Christian' Afghan: A New Angle in
Psychological War Against Islam

Would you believe it? George Bush is anxious about the
fate of an Afghan who allegedly embraced Christianity.
The Zionist media networks suddenly came up with this
story and started a worldwide campaign to save 'Abdul
Rahman' from execution by an Afghan court bent on
implementing Sharia, or so we are told.
Readers who know anything about Afghanistan will wonder
how such a clear report about an Afghan "Christian" came
out of a country where spectacular martyrdom operations
against U.S. and coalition forces hardly make it to the news.
Who is 'Abdul Rahman?' We are told that he converted to
Christianity 16 years back. If Sharia says that a
murtad [apostate] should be executed, how did
'Abdul Rahman' survive for 16 years? Are you going to
tell me that one can have a secret life in Afghanistan?
Did you think it is like New York, where you can worship
the devil himself and have sex in any which way you can
and no one cares? Did you think this is Washington, D.C.
from where you can cook up a whole war based on WMDs and
it takes 730 days before anyone finds out that Niger could
not have sold uranium to Saddam because it had none to sell?
So for 16 years, no one 'outed' 'Abdul Rahman' in Afghanistan,
a close knit country where the neighbors know how many eggs
your chickens laid?
Can you believe that!
The Taliban are reported to be the strongest for Sharia.
'Abdul Rahman' managed to evade the Taliban. How come?
Somewhat fishy, isn't this story?
NOW THIS MAN FACING DEATH GETS TO TALK TO THE MEDIA!
How many Muslim prisoners in the U.S. have been allowed
to talk to the media?
[Zero!]
Now look at some details. We are told it was a custody
case and his ex-wife 'outed' him. It is claimed that
a Bible was found in his possession. He loves
Christianity and the President of the United States
is concerned that this terrible violation of 'Abdul
Rahman's religious rights might not be far off.
These reports ignore two serious issues:
1. The Afghan "government" was installed by America's
military might. It has no legitimacy whatever. In fact,
most observers agree that Karzai and his entire coalition
would collapse rapidly if U.S. and NATO troops were withdrawn.
2. Any court set up under protection of a military
occupation by kafir forces has no legitimacy
in Islam. Any ruling it hands down would be illegitimate.
3. Under Islamic Law [Shar'ia], an apostate is killed
only during time of war if a court finds that he/she was
using Islam as a cover to infiltrate the Islamic system
and then went back to another religion after having done
his job as a spy.
There is no Islamic text which says that a person
should be killed for giving up Islam for a religion
of his/her choice during peace time.
The case of 'Abdul Rahman' is being played up by the
Zionists in a attempt to paint Islam in colors
provided by the Zionist media. In the U.S., Muslim
citizens have been sentenced to LIFE in prison merely
for making a speech or going to a Muslim country:
LIFE in PRISON without any violent act against
the security of the U.S.
By contrast, Afghanistan is under military occupation,
has undergone decades of war, and does not have an
Islamic government which could be held to Islamic standards.
Hidden behind the story of the Afghan Christian might
well be a Zionist plan ro bring about conflict between
Christian minorities and Muslim majorities. This might
be step three after the Danish cartoons strategy and
the Shia-Sunni strife in Iraq.

['Outing' is a term used by the Zionist-U.S. media
to celebrate the public declaration of homosexuality
and lesbianism by various male and female "celebrities." ]
1. Jack Abramoff, our Jew number one, is the
biggest crook in America. He has confessed some of
his misdeeds. He stole $80,000,000 from Indian tribes,
who had trusted him with the money, and used it to
curry favor with American politicians, all the way
from President Bush to some minor characters.
2. Howard Stern is a TV and radio man, notorious
for his exploitation of women. He would bring women of
easy virtue to his studio and have them take their
clothes off in front of cameras and then get his staff
to explore the private parts of the women. After he was
fined for obscenities proclaimed on the air waves, he
moved off his show to start an independent one all for
himself. His employers sued him for ripping them off to
the tune of millions of dollars before leaving. Another
Jew, Larry King, of CNN, gave him a laudatory interview,
treating him as if he is a saint. Not to be outdone,
Hannity of Fox TV, also gave him in depth coverage. Thus
this filthy Jew, shameless exploiter of women, who has
spread his mental excreta far and wide in America, is
treated with great respect by Zionists who control
important segments of TV time, such as King and Hannity
[a Christian Neo-Con].
3. Rabbi David Kaye also known as the NAKED RABBI
sought sex with underage boys. He resigned from Panim on
October 31, 2005 after he turned up in an NBC sting
operation meant to trap child molestors. The Rabbi sent
naked pictures of himself to his victims. Panim claims
to be an organization for "Jewish Leadership and Values."
The NAKED Rabbi was Rabbi for 15 years at a Jewish
congregation Har Shalom in the expensive Potomac, Maryland
area. How much corruption did this Rabbi spread in Panim
and in his congregation? The Jews rapidly carried out
damage control and the inside story is still hidden.
4. Rabbi Baruch Lanner, an Orthodox Union Rabbi,
is in prison for [seven?] years. He is said to have
molested 20 teenage girls over 30 years
[as well as numbers of boys].
5. Peter Braunstein, New Yorker, is alleged to
have forced his way into a woman's room on Haloween
[2005] and allegedly committed, rape, assault, arson,
burglary, etc. He escaped arrest but was finally caught
in Memphis, Tennessee on December 16. He was formerly
a writer for the "progressive" Jewish paper Village Voice.
6. Rothstein, is an Israeli mobster. He allegedly
distributed ONE MILLION "ecstacy" pills in New York,
among other activities. After extensive criminal activity,
he escaped to Israel. The damage he did in the U.S. was
so extensive that the U.S. begged Israel to have him
extradited and finally he was brought back on March 6,
2006 and will be tried.
7. A Jewish Defense Contractor, carried out a
MILLION DOLLAR Bat Mitzwah party for his daughter.
[Previously listed in New Trend.] Iraq has paid off
for Defense Contractors like this Jew.
8. Judith Miller, Jewish columnist for the
[Jewish run] New York Times, carried out a
lengthy campaign in her paper in support of President
Bush's invasion of Iraq. She was involved in the
information leak carried out by 'Scooter" Libby's
office which uncovered the identity of a CIA agent,
Ms. Plame, who was married to Wilson, the man who
challenged Bush's clam that Saddam got uranium from
Niger. Miller is notorious for her hatred of Islam.
In one of her books, she advisd America that the only
effective measure against Islam is the HAMAH SOLUTION,
referring to the destruction of an entire Islamic city
by Syrian dictator Assad, not very different from the
U.S. destruction of Fallujah. Recently, the
New York Times decided to cash in on Bush's
declining popularity and has become very critical
of the war. The Times now claims that it was not
aware of Judith Miller's activities! and she
was fired/and/or left.
9. Michael Olesker, senion columnist for the
Baltimore Sun. It appears that he was plagiarizing
other people's writings for publication in the Sun.
Someone sent emails to the editor of the Sun uncovering
Olesker's plagiarism. The Sun is a Jewish paper which
started the fabricated story of "slavery in Sudan"
which led to the sanctions on Sudan and a worldwide campaign
of denigration. Olesker's plagiarism led to his resignation
but the story was rapidly hushed up, very unlike the fate
of a Black writer in the NY Times who committed plagiarism
and was ridiculed from coast-to-coast.
10. The pioneers of PORNOGRAPHY in the U.S.
are Jews. Their purpose was to undermine Christian
morality and also make big money for themselves.
They distributed porn on such a scale that today
it is a billion-dollar 'industry.' Jews who are
deadly opposed to any critical review of their
holocaust story, defend hard core exploitation of
women through pornography in the name of
"freedom of expression."
11. Attempt to legitimize HOMOSEXUALITY is
also a successful Jewish project. One of the most
virulent purveyors of the legitimacy of homosexuality
in America is NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO [NPR], the biggest
line up of Jews in the media. NPR is openly
"underwritten" by Jewish communities in
Baltimore and elsewhere.

Q But the inspectors didn't find any weapons of mass destruction.

Q But after we invaded them, we STILL didn't find any weapons of
mass destruction, did we?
A That's because the weapons are so well hidden. Don't worry,
we'll find something, probably right before the 2008 election.
Q Why did Iraq want all those weapons of mass destruction?
A To use them in a war, silly.
Q I'm confused. If they had all those weapons that they planned
to use in a war, then why didn't they use any of those weapons
when we went to war with them?
A Well, obviously they didn't want anyone to know they had those
weapons, so they chose to die by the thousands rather than defend
themselves.
Q That doesn't make sense. Why would they choose to die if they
had all those big weapons with which they could have fought
back?
A It's a different culture. It's not supposed to make sense.
Q I don't know about you, but I don't think they had any of those
weapons our government said they did.
A Well, you know, it doesn't matter whether or not they had those
weapons. We had another good reason to invade them anyway.
Q And what was that?
A Even if Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, Saddam
Hussein was a cruel dictator, which is another good reason to
invade another country.
Q Why? What does a cruel dictator do that makes it OK to invade
his country?
A Well, for one thing, he tortured his own people.
Q Kind of like what they do in China ?
A Don't go comparing China to Iraq . China is a good economic
competitor, where millions of people work for slave wages in
sweatshops and help make US corporations richer.
Q So if a country lets its people are exploited for American
corporate gain, it's a good country, even if that country
tortures people?
A Right.
Q Why were people in Iraq being tortured?
A For political crimes, mostly, like criticizing the government.
People who criticized the government in Iraq were sent to prison
and tortured.

A I told you, China is different.

A Well, for one thing, Iraq was ruled by the Ba'ath party, while

Hussein came to power through a military coup, so he's not really

A That's when a military general takes over the government of a
country by force, instead of holding free elections like we do
in the United States.
Q Didn't the ruler of Pakistan come to power by a military coup?
A You mean General Pervez Musharraf? Uh, yeah, he did, but
Pakistan is our friend.
Q Why is Pakistan our friend if their leader is illegitimate?
A I never said Pervez Musharraf was illegitimate.

forcibly overthrowing the legitimate government of a nation is

helped us invade Afghanistan .

A Because of what they did to us on September 11th.

A Well, on September 11th, nineteen men - fifteen of them
Saudi Arabians - hijacked four airplanes and flew three
of them into buildings, killing over 3,000 Americans.
Q So how did Afghanistan figure into all that?
A Afghanistan was where those bad men trained, under the
oppressive rule of the Taliban.
Q Aren't the Taliban those bad radical Islamics who chopped off
people's heads and hands?
A Yes, that's exactly who they were. Not only did they chop off
people's heads and hands, but they oppressed women, too.
Q Didn't the Bush administration give the Taliban 43 million
dollars back in May of 2001?
A Yes, but that money was a reward because they did such a good
job fighting drugs.
Q Fighting drugs?
A Yes, the Taliban were very helpful in stopping people from
growing opium poppies.
Q How did they do such a good job?
A Simple. If people were caught growing opium poppies, the
Taliban would have their hands and heads cut off.
Q So, when the Taliban cut off people's heads and hands for
growing flowers, that was OK, but not if they cut people's
heads and hands off for other reasons?
A Yes. It's OK with us if radical Islamic fundamentalists
cut off people's hands for growing flowers, but it's cruel
if they cut off people's hands for stealing bread.
Q Don't they also cut off people's hands and heads in
Saudi Arabia ?
A That's different. Afghanistan was ruled by a tyrannical
patriarchy that oppressed women and forced them to wear
burqas whenever they were in public, with death by
stoning as the penalty for women who did not comply.
Q Don't Saudi women have to wear burqas in public, too?
A No, Saudi women merely wear a traditional Islamic
body covering.
Q What's the difference?
A The traditional Islamic covering worn by Saudi women is a
modest yet fashionable garment that covers all of a woman's
body except for her eyes and fingers. The burqa, on the
other hand, is an evil tool of patriarchal oppression that
covers all of a woman's body except for her eyes and fingers.
Q It sounds like the same thing with a different name.
A Now, don't go comparing Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. The
Saudis are our friends.
Q But I thought you said 15 of the 19 hijackers on September
11th were from Saudi Arabia .
A Yes, but they trained in Afghanistan.
Q Who trained them?
A A very bad man named Osama bin Laden.
Q Was he from Afghanistan ?
A Uh, no, he was from Saudi Arabia too. But he was a bad man,
a very bad man.
Q I seem to recall he was our friend once.
A Only when we helped him and the mujahadeen repel the
Soviet invasion of Afghanistan back in the 1980s.
Q Who are the Soviets? Was that the Evil Communist Empire
Ronald Reagan talked about?
A There are no more Soviets. The Soviet Union broke up in
1990 or thereabouts, and now they have elections and
capitalism like us. We call them Russians now.
Q So the Soviets - I mean, the Russians - are now our friends?
A Well, not really. You see, they were our friends for many years
after they stopped being Soviets, but then they decided not to
support our invasion of Iraq , so we're mad at them now. We're
also mad at the French and the Germans because they didn't help
us invade Iraq either.
Q So the French and Germans are evil, too?
A Not exactly evil, but just bad enough that we had to rename
French fries and French toast to Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast.
Q Do we always rename foods whenever another country doesn't do
what we want them to do?
A No, we just do that to our friends. Our enemies, we invade.
Q But wasn't Iraq one of our friends back in the 1980s?
A Well, yeah. For a while.
Q Was Saddam Hussein ruler of Iraq back then?
A Yes, but at the time he was fighting against Iran ,
which made him our friend, temporarily.
Q Why did that make him our friend?
A Because at that time, Iran was our enemy.
Q Isn't that when he gassed the Kurds?
A Yeah, but since he was fighting against Iran at the time,
we looked the other way, to show him we were his friend.
Q So anyone who fights against one of our enemies
automatically becomes our friend?
A Most of the time, yes.
Q And anyone who fights against one of our friends is
automatically an enemy?
A Sometimes that's true, too. However, if American
corporations can profit by selling weapons to both
sides at the same time, all the better.
Q Why?
A Because war is good for the economy, which means war is good
for America Also, since God is on America's side, anyone who
opposes war is a godless un-American Communist. Do you
understand now why we attacked Iraq?
Q I think so. We attacked them because God wanted us to, right?
A Yes.
Q But how did we know God wanted us to attack Iraq ?
A Well, you see, God personally speaks to George W. Bush
and tells him what to do.
Q So basically, what you're saying is that we attacked Iraq
because George W. Bush hears voices in his head?
A Yes! You finally understand how the world works. Now close your
